And princess: Sis, just because I love you so much you get :bored: :bored: :bored: :bored: :bored: :bored: ! LOL

Wait no this is all wrong, what I need is a HUGE BEACH BALL!!!!!!!!! LOL

Okay I better run and :duck:

We are standing
On holy ground,
And I know that there
Are angels all around.
Let us praise Jesus now.
We are standing
In His presence on holy ground.

I serve a risen Saviour,
He's in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
today!
He walks with me and He talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And tho my heart grows weary
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading
Thro' all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him,
The help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

I HEARD AN OLD,
OLD STORY
HOW A SAVIOUR CAME
FROM GLORY
HOW HE GAVE HIS LIFE
ON CALVARY
TO SAVE SOMEONE LIKE ME

I HEARD ABOUT
HIS GROANING,
OF HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD'S
ATONING
THEN I REPENTED
OF MY SIN
AND WON THE VICTORY

OH, VICTORY IN JESUS,
MY SAVIOUR FOREVER
HE SOUGHT ME
AND HE BOUGHT ME
WITH HIS REDEEMING BLOOD

HE LOVED ME
ERE I KNEW HIM
AND ALL MY LOVE
IS DUE HIM
HE PLUNGED ME TO VICTORY
BENEATH THE
CLEANSING FLOOD

I HEARD ABOUT HIS
HEALING,
OF HIS CLEANSING POW'R
REVEALING
HOW HE MADE THE LAME
TO WALK AGAIN
AND CAUSED THE
BLIND TO SEE

AND THEN I CRIED
"DEAR JESUS,
COME AND HEAL
MY BROKEN SPIRIT"
AND SOMEHOW JESUS
CAME AND BROUGHT
TO ME THE VICTORY

OH, VICTORY IN JESUS,
MY SAVIOUR FOREVER

Morning All!

Dang Sarah! No wonder I have a headache this morning! :p

Great songs Jeanne!!!

What's everyone doing today? We're having our annual "Princess Luncheon" at church today. Wasn't it nice of them to name it after me? princess: Last year we had a crowning ceremony for all of God's "Princesses", each lady was escorted up the stage, given a long stemmed red rose and had a lovely tiara placed on her head. One of them, (I'm not going to name any names in order to protect the innocent), upon receiving her crown proceeded to walk across the stage waving like she had just won a beauty pageant. :teeth: It was a lot of fun, I was on the prize committee last year and all in all we gave out a total of 15,000.00 worth of gifts from local businesses. I think each person there walked away with at least 2 gifts and everyone also received a goody bag. My table hostess also gave us some cute little things that went with her Sunflower table theme. We had a salad and dessert lunch that was soooo yummy! Everyone brought various salads and desserts so we had a vast selection. Pastor Deanna brought forth a great message and we also had some special music. I'm anticipating that this year will be even better than last year. I have greeter duty this morning so I have to be there about an hour early. This has also opened up new doors of ministry for our homeless outreach. Many of the women who come each week were in attendance last year and had their lives changed forever. Some are now integral parts of our church family. I know many more have signed up to attend this year. So, if you guys think about it, if you could say a prayer for the luncheon today, that it would be a day that ministers to the women in attendance on the very level they are needing. I have to tell you, I thought the crowning ceremony was a little on the silly side, I thought it was great fun but still a little silly and a tad unsure how it really had any spiritual value to it but when we were told what was going to take place one of the women at my table just started weeping and I realized how God can use even the "silliest" of things to minister to someone so deeply. It's so wonderful to know that no matter what the circumstances, no matter how much you've been hurt by others or made to feel that you're worthless, we are ALL God's Princesses and He loves us all so much! That simple little plastic crown made all the difference for so many people that day. I know I still have mine and I don't look at it as just fun or silliness anymore. I was actually disappointed to find out we weren't doing it again this year. LOL

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I love you guys! ::yes::

princess: This sounds so wonderful! It is so amazing how God can use little things to touch people. I always tell my kids that we don't know just what God will use to draw people close to Him, and so we need to have God in every part of our lives, everyday.
What a blessing to hear of what your church does in the way of ministry. Prayers said for a meaningful day.
I am finished with the straightening up (wow, house stays cleaner with the boys gone... could it be cause we have eaten out for just about every meal??;) ) but boy do I miss them! They will be home late tonight. Keep praying for a safe bus trip home. The girls, Kari and the loaner :p , are in the playroom with PlayDoh, barbies and various other toys to keep them busy, and I am contemplating dragging all my scrapping supplies out... but since I have a headache, I am not so sure I feel like it. Might be a vegging out kinda day.

I just need to share that our church has been reading the Old Testament together this year, and I am finding that I am starting to understand why God wants us to read it. The first few times I read this it seemed SO dry and hard to get through. Now I still find it hard in spots, but I am starting to get the magnificence of what Jesus did for us, and what He has saved us from. The things that were required and the punishments that were meted out were unbelievable. I am reading through Chronicles, and am realizing that God is showing us Jesus' lineage so that we can see the relevance of the blessings that God bestowed upon our ancestors in the faith... pretty amazing. I also use a devotional and am seeing parallels to what I am going through, or what friends are going through, and it gives me a sense of what God requires of us in the way of obedience.
Have a blessed day, my family in Christ! love ya.

Sorry I gave you a headache, princess: Sis.

Well I am not sure what I am doing today. I might have to work today I am not sure though. If I don't have to work maybe we will go see a movie or something because it is not very nice outside today. :umbrella:

princess: Sis, I sure wish I was going to church with you today, that really sounds like a awesome experience. And I love that they named it "Princess Luncheon" after you and me( did you know that my name means "Princess", becasue it does)! ::yes:: That is soooooo true, we are all God's Princess and He does love us all very much! I will be thinking of you today and saying a prayer for your Princess Luncheon. And when you get home and get a chance, I want to hear all about how it went today.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Love you all!

Hey Jeanne! I am sorry you have a headache this morning, I hope it goes away soon. You are into scrapbooking too, so am I! I just started getting into it, it is a lot of fun but very time consuming! And I will keep Otto and the kids in my prayers today until they are home safe and sound.

Michelle, praying for our luncheon today :).
Jeanne, praying for your boys!

Hey Everyone!

I was wondering if you guys could please say a prayer for someone today. Christine ( Mickey's Sunshine) has a thread going about her brothers friend was in a motorcycle accident and right now he is in surgery. His name is James. Thank you.

Just a quick update... my boss (and Pastor) just called re: my email response to the email that upset me so much on Thursday night. He said after reading my response and rereading his original note that he can see how it was taken critically, although it was in NO WAY intended to be critical. I think it was more in frustration regarding his lack of organizational skills than any real criticism directed at me. He pretty much confirmed that thought, and apologized. So, things are better and I am feeling much better! Thanks to all of you who prayed, obviously it worked! God is so good! XXOX

Thanks everyone for your prayers! I just got home and it was another great day! At least 4 people that I know of gave their hearts to Jesus and that's just the most awesome thing ever!

Jeanne, I'm so glad that you got things sqaured away with your boss. Still keeping your family in prayer for a safe trip home! ::yes::

Just to clarify on Sarah's post, it's Christine's friend Anthony's brother who was in the accident, not her brother's friend. She is close enough to her friend to think of him as a brother though. From what Christine has said it seems like this whole family could use our prayers.

Jeanne, I am so happy things got worked out between you and your boss. And I am stilling keeping Otto and the kids in my prayers.

princess: Sis, I am so glad you had a wonderful day at your "Princess Luncheon"! And thank you for clarifying up Christine's situation. I am so sorry that I got that all mixed up, I feel so bad for doing that . I will be keeping that whole family in my prayers.

Thanks Sarah... they called an hour ago.. they are almost home. Should be here in another hour.. THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS, everyone, I so appreciate them. XOXO

I'm back....took a while to thrash my "boys"....LOL! I did some:duck: and then some bouncing off of them:bored: You guys were not much help at all!!

Jeanne, glad your guys are almost home and the situation with your boss is cleared up! And thanks for the songs!

I'll go read that thread by Christine.

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilage to carry
Ev'rything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Ev'rything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer:
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus Knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge;
Take it to the Lord in prayer:
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee;
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Forgive me if I stare
But I am taken back
That You would let me here
Regardless of my past
Oh my hands are shaking now
But I catch my breathe somehow
Oh, I am free at last

Unaware of my fears
Unaware of my shame
Nothing else matters here
But glorifying Your name
Unaware of everything
Knowing You're aware of me

Tell me how I got here
I couldn't make it on my own
Just tell me I can stay
Cause it feels so much like home
And I lose all track of time
When I look into Your eyes
Your love is all I know

Unaware of my fears
Unaware of my shame
Nothing else matters here
But glorifying Your name
Unaware of everything
Knowing You're aware of me

I'm aware I'm in a place I couldn't be
If You weren't there to call my name and rescue me

Unaware of my fears
Unaware of my shame
Nothing else matters here
But glorifying Your name

I'm unaware of all my fears
And I'm unaware of all my shame
Nothing else matters here
But glorifying Your name

I'm unaware that I still breathe
Unaware of everything
Knowing You're aware of me

No apologies
For who I'm meant to be
The only thing that matters is
I am free
When I am overwhelmed
Holding pieces of my heart
When I feel my world
Start to fall apart

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become
Undone

Even in defeat
The face of tragedy
Still you'd have to say that
I found victory
In brokenness comes beauty
Divine fragility
Reminding me of nail scarred hands
Reaching out for me

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become
Undone

Hallelujah I'm undone!

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become
Undone

To the cross I run
To be what I've become
And I'm undone

Song: When You Spoke My Name

When I first spoke Your name
I used it like a blade
Cutting sharp a mask to hide the pain
When I first spoke Your name

When I next spoke Your name
I could no longer bear the weight
Of years hiding behind the ache
When I next spoke Your name

But when You spoke my name
Oh I swear the angels sang
Peace came and stole my shame
When You spoke my name

Now when I speak Your name
I sing it like a sweet refrain
I have found a peace I can't explain
When I speak Your name

Cause when You spoke my name
Oh I swear the angels sang
Peace came and stole my shame
When You spoke my name

I can hardly speak
Knowing You know me
Thank God I'm free

Now my world has completely come undone
For I can hear the Son
Calling out to me

Cause when You spoke my name
Oh I swear the angels sang
Peace came and stole my shame

When You spoke my name
Oh I swear the angels sang
Peace came and stole my shame
When You spoke my name
