My best friend's fiance has been missing for the last 48 hours. He has been depressed for awhile, but had just started seeing a counselor. His Jeep has been found, as has his windbreaker, hearing aids and glasses. I spent the night sitting up in my van with Heidi because she didn't want to give up and just leave him there.

When she got home, she found that he had also taken a bottle of pills with him.

A helicopter has been called in and a search team with dogs is going out.

Our prayers were answered, just not in the way we were hoping. Heidi's fiance's body was found this afternoon in the Allegheny River. The police are investigating his death as a homicide, which is routine in these cases. It will in all probability be ruled a suicide. I just ache for her.

So, please keep Heidi, her Mom, BeBe, and her daughters Alyssa and Hannah in your prayers. There will be so many things to face in the coming days and so many decisions to make.
