GOD IS GOD/ Steven Curtis Chapman

And the pain falls like a curtain
On the things I once called certain
And I have to say the words I fear the most
I just don't know

And the questions without answers
Come and paralyze the dancer
So I stand here on the stage afraid to move
Afraid to fall, oh, but fall I must
On this truth that my life has been formed from the dust

God is God and I am not
I can only see a part of the picture He's painting
God is God and I am man
So I'll never understand it all
For only God is God

And the sky begins to thunder
And I'm filled with awe and wonder
'Till the only burning question that remains
is who am I

Can I form a single mountain
Take the stars in hand and count them
Can I even take a breath without God giving it to me
He is first and last before all that has been
Beyond all that will pass

Oh, how great are the riches of His wisdom and knowledge
How unsearchable for to Him and through Him and from
Him are all things

So let us worship before the throne
Of the One who is worthy of worship alone

You guys posted some amazing songs while I was sleeping! :teeth:

"For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens." Psalms 57:10

Maybe that's the reason the angels always smile. :)

Sweet princess: that reminded me of another song.

Ten Thousand Angels Cried

Stillness filled the Heavens on crucifixion day.
Some say it rained, but I don't know if it's true.
Well, I can just imagine ten thousand angels cried.
That would seem like rain to me and you.

The angels all stood ready to take Him from the tree.
They waited for the words from His voice.
And when He asked the Father, "Why has Thou forsaken Me?"
They watched the Savior die of His own choice.

I've never seen ten thousand angels cry.
But I'm sure that they did,
As they stood by and watched the Savior die.

God turned His head away.
He couldn't bear the sight.
It must have looked like rain,
When ten thousand angels cried.

As the sun slipped away,
The skies turned to gray.
And when Jesus gave His all,
That's when the tears began to fall.

I've never seen ten thousand angels cry.
But I'm sure that they did,
As they stood by and watched the Savior die.

God turned His head away,
He couldn't bear the sight.
It must have looked like rain,
When ten thousand angels cried.

"Blessed [are ye] that hunger now: for ye shall be
filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when
they shall separate you from their company, and shall
reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son
of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for,
behold, your reward is great in heaven."
Luke 6:21-23

Good Evening All

Tis so sweet,
To trust in Jesus
Just to take him at his word
Just to rest upon his promise
Just to know thus said the Lord

Jesus Jesus
How I trust him
How I prove him o'er and o'er
Jesus Jesus
Precious Jesus
Oh for grace to trust him more

Hey Sheree', good to see you! One of the most simplistic messages in that song and yet one of the hardest to live. Thanks for the great reminder. :)

Good Morning to everyone! I hope you are all preparing for a wonderful weekend! Mine will be super busy but probably fun too. :)

"I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning." Psalms 59:16

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever
I will sing, I will sing
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord

With my mouth will I make known
Thy faithfulness, Thy faithfulness
With my mouth will I make known
Thy faithfulness to all generations

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord

I just got the MercyMe album "Spoken For". What a great bunch of songs. Here's one:

Now's the time
Let the redeemed celebrate
If you know what I know
You can't wipe the smile off your face
Oh people, stand up and praise

CHORUS
There's a reason to dance
There's a reason to sing
Of the sacred romance
With our Savior and King
We lift up our hands
We fall on our knees
To the Son of Man
The reason we are free
There's a reason

All glory to
The King of Kings, Lord if Lords
Oh the value of Your worth
No worldly treasures can afford
And we praise You forevermore

REPEAT CHORUS

There's a reason to stand
There's a reason to shout, to shout Your name on high
So we take up our cross, there's a reason to die
Because Jesus is alive

There's a reason

REPEAT CHORUS

There's a reason
You are the reason
The reason we are free

Hi Everyone!

I missed you guys! My internet was down all day long yesterday and most of today. I am so happy to be back online!:Pinkbounc

I hope everyone had a wonderful day! And I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!:)

That is a great song, Jeanne! I don't believe I've heard that one yet but I haven't found a Mercy Me song yet that I haven't liked. :)

We're glad you are back Sarah! I hope you don't have any more internet troubles!

Sarah! Good to have you back!

princess: , I agree. I only discovered MercyMe recently (through the song "I Can Only Imagine") and just love the stuff I have heard. I will have to tape the CD so I can listen to it in my car.

How is everyone else doing? Jill, Fur, Tasha... God bless you ALL!

boy we'd better start a new thread before they shut us down

Hey guys! Ok....I really need to buy a Mercy Me CD....right after we get an FFH one next week at the concert!:bounce:

Today was a good day. We took Logan to a Puppy Play group at a pet shop (how's that for smart marketing?). There were 15-20 pups/dogs there....what fun. We did some clicker training and Logan was accepting petting fairly well by the end of the hour(not bad considering last weekend he scooted around behind me when the judge tried to touch him!

HOpe everyone is well! I promise to track down a song soon! By then they may have locked the door here and we will have moved to a new "house":)

Hi everyone-

I post on the CB a lot, but only lurk here on this thread. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate it :).

Princess Michelle - I met you in December at Mousefest. I just wanted to say that we went to Barry's DIS meet here last night and got his DIS meet DVDs, which of course I've already watched. I commented to DH what a nice person you were when I met you and also that you are so beautiful.

Can't remember if I've written you since Dec., and don't even know if you remember me or not - I think one place we met was at the Crystal Palace meet on Dec. 4th. If you can't place my name with my face, go to our church website and you can see a picture of me and DH: http://www.mosaicfw.org/profile - todd.htm .

Krista :wave2:

How many pages do they generally let us have before we get "moved"? Will the new thread be called the same thing?
Just want to be sure I don't miss it... you guys mean a lot to me!
:D

Alleluia, Alleluia
For our Lord God Almighty reigns
Alleluia, Alleluia
For our Lord God Almighty reigns

Holy, Holy
Are You Lord God Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb
You are Holy
Holy
Are You Lord God Almighty
Worthy Is the Lamb
Worthy Is the Lamb
Amen

Holy, You are holy
King of kings, Lord of lords
You are holy
Holy, you are holy
King of kings, Lord of lords
I worship you

I Hear Music/Allen Asbury

I hear music, no one's singing
No one's playing, I hear music
I am dancing, in the stillness
In the silence, I hear music
I hear music, no one's singing
No one's playing, I hear music
I am resting, in the stillness
In the silence, I hear music
Carried the wings of your spirit
Bowing at your holy feet
The symphony of worship, now I hear it
Waves of peace are washing over me
Your tenderness unspeakably sweet
I am singing, deep within me
You sing with me, I hear music
In the stillness, in the silence
In your presence, I hear music

O Boundless salvation! deep ocean of love,
O fulness of mercy, Christ brought from above,
The whole world redeeming, so rich and so free,
Now flowing for all men, come, roll over me!

My sins they are many, their stains are so deep,
And bitter the tears of remorse that I weep;
But useless is weeping; thou great crimson sea,
Thy waters can cleanse me, come, roll over me!

My tempers are fitful, my passions are strong,
They bind my poor soul and they force me to wrong;
Beneath thy blest billows deliverance I see,
O come, mighty ocean, and roll over me!

Now tossed with tempatation, then haunted with fears,
My life has been joyless and useless for years;
I feel something better most surely would be
If once thy pure waters would roll over me.

O ocean of mercy, oft longing I've stood
On the brink of thy wonderful, life-giving flood!
Once more I have reached this soul-cleansing sea,
I will not go back till it rolls over me.

The tide is now flowing, I'm touching the wave,
I hear the loud call of the Mighty to Save;
My faith's growing bolder, delivered I'll be;
I plunge 'neath the waters, they roll over me.

And now, Hallelujah! the rest of my days
Shall gladly be spent in promoting His praise
Who opened His bosom to pour out this sea
Of boundless salvation for you and for me.

a song by General William Booth,
the Founder of The Salvation Army
