Hi everyone. I am new here and I am really hoping this is the right forum and thread to get help. From what I have been reading, I believe it is a good place to start!

I am looking for some help for Disney's Night Of Joy 2004, September 9th, 10th, and 11th at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, FL.

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/parks/specialEventsDetail?id=NightofJoySpecialEventPage

http://disneyyouthprograms.disney.g...amsLandingPage?id=ProgramsNightOfJoyIndexPage

I understand that's it's still early and that's why more info isn't available at the web sites for just this event, but I have some generic questions as I need to let work know if it's going to work out for us.

I have been reading and reading on the net trying to find out past info/reviews to see if I can get answers. I have even joined in live chats and everyone has a different thought.

So, if you will, here's what I need to know and what I think I have figured out.

It's at the Magic Kingdom and it's private event? So the park is open during the day as usual?, until the event takes place? Then those who aren't going are let out, and those who have tickets for the Night Of Joy are let in?

This is where the confusion came in. People were saying that you can't go early to the stage you want because it's a seperate admission. That I understand. It's like paying to go to a concert. I realize it's not inclusive like paying for a fare, using the rides and seeing whatever concert you want.

Here's my thing. What if I am going to ALREADY be in the Magic Kingdom doing everything it has to offer. So I have paid for my ticket to that, PLUS I hold and have paid for a ticket ALSO for the Night Of Joy?

I have been receiving various answers-mostly guesses. Please help! I am so confused.:( I thougth it would be best to ask those who went, but those who only went to the concert, not the park prior, had all sorts of answers.

Basically, am I correct that the park IS open as normal PRIOR to the Night Of Joy. How does it work if I have a ticket for the park AND the conert. I was told I couldn't stay? Would have to leave with the rest, then join the concert goers on another train ride?

I hope this is making some sense. Sorry it's so long!:confused:

I am not at all concerned about hours or ticket prices or anything like that. I am just one of those folks that needs to know things!:teeth:

I'm just wondering how the whole transition works and what the rules are.

I guess I will leave it at that for now. I am sure I will think of more questions as answers come in! :hyper:

Thanks anyone ahead of time. ::MinnieMo

I haven't been to NOJ in a few years so I'm not completely sure if they are still doing things the same way. When I have gone in the past I only went for the NOJ event and was not in the Magic Kingdom prior to the event. When we arrived they were clearing the park and those who had NOJ tickets were held at the ticket and transportation center until a certain time, I think we were finally allowed to start getting on the fairy and monorail an hour before the event started. Now, the times that I went there were no wristbands or anything to show that you had come in with a NOJ ticket so it was always my assumption that they cleared the park before allowing us in.

As to how it would work if you are already in the park. I really don't know. When I was at MVMCP this last December I went into the park on my annual pass and when it came time for the party they had CM's in various locations that would punch your ticket and give you your wristband so you didn't have to go back out and come back in again with your MVMCP ticket. They may do something similar for NOJ if you are already in the park. You may just want to call guest relations directly and ask them how it works. :)

Hi everyone.
I never come to this board, but I had a question that I didn't know where else to post and I saw the title of this thread!

As I was skimming a couple of the MANY pages (!) I had this song in my head:

ABBA

Lord you loved me as I am,
and then you took my hand.
You said my child you are my own,
I'll take you to the Promised Land!

Lord you mold me as I am,
I am Your chosen one.
Lord please speak to me and
show me the way...
Lord let your will be done!

You are my Abba, You are my King.
My Alpha and Omega!
Lord you're everything!

You are my Abba, You are my King.
My Alpha and Omega!
Lord you're everything!

:D

Thank you very much Princess Michelle for replying so fast and explaining so much to me. I am also going to start a new thread just in case not everyone reads this one. Thank you again. Marie

You are most welcome Marie! I hope someone is able to give you just the info you are looking for. :)

Welcome Athene! I'm so glad you stopped in! Thanks for singing that great song. I do hope you'll stop in again sometime. :)

Okay, let's see if I can give you guys a little report on our Missions Banquet. I had one all typed up last week and I got booted before I could send it. :rolleyes:

I was very excited and looking forward to this years Missions banquet. Our special guest speaker was going to be Pastor Dan Betzer, I don't know how many of you are familiar with who he is but he is well known in the Assemblies of God community. I was first introduced to Dan Betzer when I was just a little girl. My mom bought me the most wonderful tapes and records called Dan Betzer & Louie tell the Bible Classics. Pastor Betzer and his little dummy (seriously) would tell the Bible stories in such an amazing way, they brought such life to them. I still love to listen to those tapes (yes, I still have them after 20 some odd years). I've always thought that I would love for my own children to listen to them when I have them. So needless to say I was really psyched to hear Pastor Betzer in person and hopefully get a chance to talk to him and tell him how much I appreciated his ministry even as a little girl. princess:

So, on to the banquet! We arrived a little bit early since we were bringing some of the dishes that would be served. My mom made a big greek salad and I made stuffed shells. Yum! We walked into the Sanctuary and it was beautiful and smelled so good as all the aromas of the foods from different cultures began to blend together. As I looked around I saw the flags from many nations hanging around the room, the tables were all decorated very beautifully with centerpieces of miniature flags and various decor from the many countries that we have missionaries in. After helping arrange the food and carve some of the meats that had been brought in I found a seat and really took in the atmosphere. I looked through the program for the evening and saw that we had some of our supported Missionaries with us that evening. I don't remember all of them but we had representatives from Pakistan and South Africa as well as some local ministries. Not to mention a couple from our church who will be leaving in a few months for Spain. I will be sad to see them go as they are truly friends. We've worked together for the last 3 years in the homeless ministry and I will miss them greatly. It was almost time to start! The choir started out with a great song "Free For All" and then one of our church members who is originally from India came and prayed a blessing over the meal and the evening. Then it was time to sample some of this good cooking! There was so much good stuff, Italian, Cuban, Indian, French, I don't even know what some of the stuff I ate was but it was all good! After the meal they had prize give aways. Many of our supported Missionaries had sent items from their stations for us to give away that night. I didn't win anything but there were some beautiful items. A lady at my table won some beautiful hand beaded candle sticks from India. Another won a gorgeous miniature menora from Israel. After all the festivities it was finally time for Pastor Betzer to speak! Wow, he brought forth a fantastic message and hearing him speak as an adult was just as amazing as it was as a child. After he spoke we made our mission pledges for the coming year, the choir sang another great song "We Speak To Nations" which I posted the lyrics to last week, a closing prayer and the evening had come to an end. Well, not quite yet. I did speak with Pastor Betzer before we left and he told me that Louie is retired now but he puts on a Christmas special with him every year and also that most of his albums are now on cd! That was great news! I was happy to be able to tell him how much his ministry meant to me when I was a little girl and he was humbled and thankful to hear it. It was a fantastic night!

Thanks for letting me tell you all about it. :)

Don't Worry: Rebecca St.James

On the corner of Fifth and Broadway

I was walking to the grocery store on Third

I saw a man up on a box

He seemed a little unorthodox

He was preaching up a storm

I passed on by and he said

Don't worry about your life

Cause if you hold it too close you'll lose it

Don't worry about your life

So won't you let go

Before it's gone

A little further on I saw a beggar on the street

He asked for change and then gives me his life story

Says he was a millionaire, made some bad decisions there

Now a dollar fifty would feed him for a week

And he said

repeat chorus

Then I see the birds

I watch them fly

They've got everything they need

They show me why I can be free

Knowing You will care for me

Finally at the grocery store

My mind is filled with many thoughts

As I bump into a girl I knew from high school

She said "What's different about you girl?"

And I smiled and said this is what I know is true

And I pass it right along to you

repeat chorus

I'm trying not to worry but I am,if you've seen the thread about me and DBF you know the whole story

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of my MOST FAVORITE hymns...
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
Welcome feenie and marie!
Thanks princess: Michelle for your AWESOME Missions Banquet report and for the NOJ info...someday maybe I'll get to see that. Thanks so much for the great scriptures! They are both so KEWL...especially the one for March 15th! :Pinkbounc
Hey CS! Good to see you. Love this...
Don't worry about your life
Cause if you hold it too close you'll lose it
Don't worry about your life
So won't you let go
Before it's gone
Steady On: Point of Grace
Kicking up dust
Heaven or bust
We’re headed for the promised land
Since the moment we believed, we’ve been eager to leave
Like a child tugging daddy’s hand
May we never forget that patience is a virtue
Calm our anxious feet so faithful hands can serve you, Lord
We run on up ahead, we lag behind You
It’s hard to wait when heaven’s on our minds
Teach our restless feet to walk beside You
'Cause in our hearts we’re already gone
Will you walk with us
Steady On
We want to walk a while
We know that every mile is bring us closer home
We want to tell the story
Of sinners bound for glory and turn to find we’re not alone
When we walk in Your light the lost will see You better
As the narrow road gets crowded Lord won’t you lead us
Steady On
Chorus
Steady me, when the road of faith gets rocky
Oh ready me, for fears I cannot see
Lord won’t you let me be a witness to your promise
Won’t you steady me
Chorus
Reminds me...I was telling my niece that when you're running with your eyes fixed on Jesus...and a hurdle is coming up...don't try to jump it...just lift up your arms in sweet surrender! When you do...HIS AMAZING arms of strength grasp yours and effortlessly lift you up and over the hurdle. And it is such an awesome feeling to know and to feel that strength lifting and holding you as you watch the hurdle pass beneath you... HIS strength that you can't see or explain but you KNOW it SO WELL... and the BEST part about it is that all you had to do to receive and to experience it and to watch HIS power at work was to keep your eyes fixed on the goal and RAISE YOUR ARMS! AHHHHHHHHHHH... SWEET SURRENDER!!!!
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
And to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus says the Lord!”
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
ah, Jill, surely you know that He delights over you with singing!
For the LORD your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song." Zephaniah 3:17
Love the songs you are singing.
Fur, we miss you! Hope you are having fun, and are getting some rest and relaxation in.
