Does anyone know a worship song that goes SOMETHING like this:

Cause me to come to the river, Oh Lord
(A bunch of other verses)

and then something like:
Cause me to live
Cause me to breathe
Cause me to ????

It's been SO long since I heard it I can't even remember the correct words. I've been trying to find it in the music stores & on KAZA, but no luck. Thanks.

i didn't realize i would be praised for my "singing" that doesn't happen often. Actually I'm singing with our choir for the first time Easter morning and my DD actually said "well, i'll be sure not to go to that service!" :)

i just found this thread - i listen to pretty much only christian music anymore, i'll share more later ;)

and hopefully I'll get to read more and find new artists to listen too!

dclwdwlover, I don't know the song that you asked about, but the few words that you posted makes it sound like a beautiful song!!

ohMom, LOL about what your daughter said about singing in the choir. ;) I'm sure it will be beautiful. God sooo loves the praises of His people!

Shut Up and Play-Supertones

Religious fanatic, that's what they say
True, I may be on the brink
I hear them yell at us, shut up and play
Well, who asked what you think?
No time for mediocrity, convenience, or practicality

He went all out for us, say what you will
I'll answer to my God

I'm a freak, they say I've lost my mind
But I know, I've never seen so clearly
When I speak, they say we've gone too far this time
Which lets me know that I have not gone nearly

Bible thumpin' reactionist
And I'm proud to bear the name
Take out music, take away our lives
Jesus still remains
I wonder what will people think
When they hear that I'm a Jesus freak.

Ok,so my taste in music runs toward the wild side. There is a place for ska and punk in Christian music

I like your taste in music, CS! :) Actually, I like all styles of Christian music - from southern gospel to ska, from praise and worship to pop, from gospel to hymns! Love it all! :)

Louder Than the Mob-Supertones

I know I'm just another Judas, kiss Your face
W hile I drive the nail in Your hand
I know I'm just another Thomas, won't believe
Until I feel the hole in Your hand
Then I will say, my God, I see not what You see
My God, what do You see in me?
My God, crowned in glory
The Lamb of God is worthy

My sin yells, crucify, louder than the mob that day
My sin yells, crucify, louder than any mouth.

I'm not a music fan but like to listen the praise music. I have powerful and to the point verse.

PHILLIPIANS 4:13
For I can do anything through Christ who gives me strengh

Author of Life

Things aren't actually what I thought they would be
I won't pretend, disappointments never free
The sky's on fire, feels like the sky's on fire
I may be young but I'm feeling prettty old
Like somebody borrowed years
And I found out they got sold
But still I love you
Though my sky's on fire

To the author of life
Be the author of my life
To the author do you hear me sing?
Hear me sing!

Swallow my pride
Let go inside
Show me your way
Refine me
And I'll still love you
Though my sky's on fire

To the author of life
Be the author of my life
To the author do you hear me sing?
To the author of life
Be the author of my life
To the author do you hear me?

I see you've been hanging in there
Looking back I've been everywhere
I've done it my way for far too long now like
Like I promised you years before
All I have is yours

To the author of life
Be the author of my life
To the author do you hear me sing?
To the author of life
Be the author of my life
To the author do you hear me?

Swallow my pride
Let go inside
Show me your way
Refine me

I will come and bow down
At Your feet Lord Jesus
In Your presence is fullness of joy
There is nothing, there is no one
Who compares with You
I take pleasure in worshipping You Lord

On bended knee I come
With a humble heart I come
Bowing down before Your holy throne
Lifting holy hands to You
As I pledge my life anew
I worship You in spirit
I worship You in truth
Make my life a holy praise unto You

I worship You in spirit
I worship You in truth
Make my life a holy praise unto You</Font>

I just found this thread...I'm usually on the Cdn Visitors board.
JC2- my newest favorite worship song is "Here I am to worship" (top of page 30) Every time I sing the line- “I’ll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon the cross" I begin to cry. It's a powerful redemption song. It's awesome for alter calls. BTW I'm a youth pastor. The guy being step on/over is the Sr. Pastor (dh)

Woohooo!! MaMudduck, so glad to meet ya! :) I, too, love Here I am to worship. I think I'll sing it again! ;)

Light of the world, You stepped out into darkness
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You

And here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
You're altogether wonderful to me

King of all days, oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
And all for loves sake became poor

Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
You're altogether wonderful to me

And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
No I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost

So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
You're altogether wonderful to me

Blood Washed Pilgrim-Supertones

I saw a blood washed pilgrim, a sinner saved by grace
Up on the King's great highway, with peaceful shining face
Temptations score beset him, but nothing could a fright
He said the yoke is easy, the burden it is light

Psalms of victory, crowns of glory
psalms of victory I shall wear

I saw him in the furnace, he neither doubted or feared
And in the flames beside him, the Son of God appeared
Though seven times it was heated, with all the tempters' might
He said the youk is easy, the burden it is light

I saw him overcoming, through all the swelling strife
I saw him cross the threshold of God's eternal life
The crown, the throne, the scepter, the name
The stone so white for those who are found in Jesus
The burden it is light.

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

See from His head, His hands, His feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did ever such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown

O the wonderful cross, O the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live
O the wonderful cross, O the wonderful cross
All who gather here by grace draw near and bless Your name

Were the whole realm of nature mine
That were an offering far too small
Love so amazing, so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all

O the wonderful cross, O the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live
O the wonderful cross, O the wonderful cross
All who gather here by grace draw near and bless Your name</Font>

So nice to see so many new singers, welcome everyone!
I wish for you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, a wonderful Easter weekend as we focus on all He has done for us!

Hallelujah, What a Savior!

"Man of Sorrows!" What a name
For the Son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!
Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood-
Sealed my pardon with His blood:
Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Guilty, vile and helpless we,
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
Full atonemen! can it be?
Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die,
"It is finished" was His cry;
Now in heaven exalted high:
Hallelujah, what a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew this song we'll sing:
Hallelujah, what a Savior!

Hey there Saphire! :) I love that hymn! How beautiful!

IT IS FINISHED/PETRA

In the heat of the early morning
On a hill they called the skull
The roaring of the angry mob had settled to a lull

All eyes were cast upon the Man
Whose hands and feet were bound
They saw Him cry in anguish as they heard the hammer pound

They saw the bloody woven thorns with which His head was crowned
They watched the bloody cross of wood be dropped into the ground

The soldiers gambled for His clothes they watched them win and lose
They saw the sign above His head that said, "KING OF THE JEWS"

It is finshed!
And the sky grew black as the night
It is finished!
And the people scattered in fright
The work had been done
Redemption had been won
The war was OVER without a fight
It is finished

They searched His face for anger or vengence in His stare
Instead of eyes that burned with hate a look of love was there
He prayed for their forgiveness and bowed His battered head
And no one knew the meaning of the final words He said

It is finshed!
And the sky grew black as the night
It is finished!
And the people scattered in fright
The work had been done
Redemption had been won
The war was OVER without a fight
It is finished

The provision has been made
The foundation has been laid
He paid the ransom due and tore the Temple veil in two
And opened up the way for me and you
It is finished

It is finshed!
And the sky grew black as the night
It is finished!
And the people scattered in fright
The work had been done
Redemption had been won
The war was OVER without a fight
It is finished

This is the message of the cross, that we can be free,
To live in the victory, and turn from our sin,
My precious Lord Jesus, with sinners you died,
For there you revealed your love and you laid down your life.

This is the message of the cross, that we can be free,
To lay all our burdens here, at the foot of the tree,
The cross was the shame of the world,
but the glory of God,
For Jesus you conquered sin and you gave us new life!

You set me free when I came to the cross,
Poured out your blood for I was broken and lost,
There I was healed and you covered my sin,
It's there you saved me, this is the message of the cross.

This is the message of the cross, that we can be free,
To hunger for heaven, to hunger for Thee,
"The cross is such foolishness to the perishing,
But to us who are being saved, it is the power of God!"

You set us free when we come to the cross,
You pour out your blood for we are broken and lost.
Here we are healed and you cover our sin,
It's here you save us,

You set me free when I come to the cross,
Pour out your blood for I am broken and lost
Here I am healed and you cover my sin,
It's here you save me, this is the message of the cross.

Let us rejoice at the foot of the cross,
We can be free, glory to God
Let us rejoice at the foot of the cross,
We can be free, glory to God!!

Thank you Lord, thank you Lord,
You've set us free, glory to God
Thank you Lord, thank you Lord,
You've set us free, glory to God!!</Font>

Shout To The North

Men of faith rise up and sing
Of the great and glorious King
You are strong when you feel weak
In your brokeness complete

Shout to the North and the South
Sing to the East and the West
Jesus is saviour to all
Lord of heaven and earth

Rise up women of the truth
Stand and sing to broken hearts
Who can know the healing power
Of our awesome King of love

We've been through fire we've been
through rain
We've been refined by the power of his name
We've fallen deeper in love with you
You've burned the truth on our lips

Rise up church with broken wings
Fill this place with songs again
Of our God who reigns on high
By His grace again we'll fly
