I REALLY need Sundays and I often have to find them on other days of the week recently...I think some of you can relate to what I am saying.

Jilly....I surely can completely understand these words and want you to know that you have been in my prayers for your church situation. You were on my heart just this morning as I took DS to school. Sorry I missed your post and couldn't pray before Sun. - I hope it worked out well. We were gone this past weekend for a dog show and the couple weeks before that I was a bit stressed trying to prepare as it was a big show and stiff competition. We did well all things considered and most importantly we continue to "build bridges" with others there. We have been visisting other churches and know that God has one out there for us. We took message tapes that a friend gave me of her Pastor over a year ago and listened to them on the ride down....so church was on Fri. for us and he was very good. Here we have a pastor who does a morning devotion during the morning news and while it tends to be "non-denominational" and a bit vague....it quite often has some depth for us and quite often it is something that we can use.

Hey everyone!!!!

dbond WELCOME!!!! That Erin O'Donnell song is so wonderful...thanks for posting it...I SO needed to hear it! My kids are so scattered throughout each day and it is only because of Jesus and His promise to hold them that I can allow them to GO and allow myself to let go everyday. Yesterday, I dropped my kids off and watched my middle son get onto the bus to his school and as I drove by the bus, he was looking out the window with his little face smiling and waving at me...I drove past...smiled and waved...and then IMMEDIATELY burst into tears!!!!! I had to with all of my MIGHT yesterday keep turning my worries and my children over to His care. I trust Him but sometimes I feel like I can take better care of them than HE can...how silly, huh???? He has given me such a great love and nurturing for these little ones and I am so bonded with them. I know that bond is short term and eventually they will be on their own and I will have to let go completely...let them make their own mistakes and choices..it SO HARD!!!! They are still so little and I know they know Jesus in their own little way, but I want so much for them to KNOW HIm and to trust HImas I do. I guess the best way to do that is by example. So I trust Him to care for them when I can;t...and even when I CAN!!! And I let them know that HE is AlWAYS holding them and they can ALWAYS call on Him. What better comfort for a child AND his/her mother to know that Jesus holds us all when we allow ourselves to rest in His suffiecient arms and power. Thanks again for posting and, please come back some more!!!
