What a glorious day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: My youngest DD and I are going to the Steven Curtis Chapman Live In This Moment concert tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

How was the concert???

It's my favorite traditional hymn but I came across an arrangement my Sufjan Stevens that really speaks to my heart and I'd love to share. Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1bSlS6OWTs

INCREDIBLE HYMN! This arrangment is AWESOME and I love the way this video version was tied with the African animals. It takes me back to Africa! Thanks for posting this!

I love Sara Groves' version of this hymn as well. I could only find a piece of it. http://www.amazon.com/Other-Side-Something-Sara-Groves/dp/B0001LJCLG

I have A song that my church choir is singing , I do not know who sings it but it has Beautiful Lyrics.

My Love Song

Not just a melody
or just a harmody to me
Greater than a symphony
You are my love Song

CHOURS:
I sing to you
It's just for you

You are my love song
My Love Song

Yes it's True
I do love you

You are my Love song
My Love song

I will be doing the lead in the song tomorrow night durring the Choir's Concert.

COOL! :thumbsup2 Thanks for posting this! I hope your concert went well.

Heres one:

Amazing Grace (My chains are gone)/Chris Tomlin

Chorus

My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, My Saviour has randsom me
and Like a Flood, Your mecry rains
Unending love, Amazing Grace

Last Verse

The earth will soon dissolve like snow
the sun forbear to shine
but God who called me here below
will be forever mine

How was the concert???

It was wonderful!!!! :thumbsup2
DD did have a great time! She has been listening to the CD every day since then. (She got it at the concert.)
What was really neat was that SCC's sons were part of his band. His oldest son, Caleb (age 18), played guitar. His other son, Will Franklin (age 17), played drums. Caleb looks just like SCC. Will looks just like his mom.

I took pictures. Let me see if I can post some. I am not too good with that. :rolleyes1

OK. Let's see if this works.................
This first picture is of Steven Curtis Chapman.

I Come By the Blood/Steve & Vikki Cook

You are the perfect and righteous God
Whose presence bears no sin
You bid me come to Your holy place
How can I enter in
When Your presence bears no sin
Through Him who poured out
His life for me
The atoning Lamb of God
Through Him and His work alone
I boldly come

I come by the blood
I come by the cross
Where Your mercy flows
From hands pierced for me
For I dare not stand
On my righteousness
My ev'ry hope rests
On what Christ has done
And I come by the blood

You are the high and exalted King
The One the angels fear
So far above me in every way
Lord how can I draw near
To the One the angels fear
Through Him who laid down
His life for me
And ascended to Your side
Through Him through Jesus alone
I boldly come

I come by the blood
I come by the cross
Where Your mercy flows
From hands pierced for me
For I dare not stand
On my righteousness
My ev'ry hope rests
On what Christ has done
And I come by the blood

Once Again/Matt Redman

Jesus Christ, I think upon Your sacrifice,
You became nothing, poured out to death.
Many times I’ve wondered at Your gift of life,
And I’m in that place once again.
I’m in the place once again.

And once again I look upon the cross where You died,
I’m humbled by Your mercy and I’m broken inside.
Once again I thank You, once again I pour out my life.

Now You are exalted to the highest place,
King of the heavens, where one day I’ll bow.
But for now, I marvel at this saving grace,
And I’m full of praise once again,
I’m full of praise once again.

And once again I look upon the cross where You died,
I’m humbled by Your mercy and I’m broken inside.
Once again I thank You, once again I pour out my life.

Here, O My Lord, I See Thee Face to Face

Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face;
Here would I touch and handle things unseen;
Here grasp with firmer hand eternal grace,
And all my weariness upon Thee lean.

Here would I feed upon the bread of God,
Here drink with Thee the royal wine of Heaven;
Here would I lay aside each earthly load,
Here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiven.

This is the hour of banquet and of song;
This is the heavenly table spread for me;
Here let me feast, and feasting, still prolong
The hallowed hour of fellowship with Thee.

I have no help but Thine; nor do I need
Another arm save Thine to lean upon;
It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed;
My strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone.

Mine is the sin, but Thine the righteousness:
Mine is the guilt, but Thine the cleansing blood;
Here is my robe, my refuge, and my peace;
Thy Blood, Thy righteousness, O Lord my God!

How Beautiful/Twila Paris

How Beautiful the hands that served
The Wine and the Bread and the sons of the earth
How beautiful the feet that walked
The long dusty road and the hill to the cross
How Beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

How Beautiful the heart that bled
That took all my sins and bore it instead
How beautiful the tender eyes
That choose to forgive and never despise
How beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

And as He lay down His life
We offer this sacrifice
That we will live just as He died
Willing to pay the price
Willing to pay the price

How Beautiful the radiant bride
Who waits for her Groom with His light in her eyes
How Beautiful when humble hearts give
The fruit of pure love so that others may live
How beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

How beautiful the feet that bring
The sound of good news and the love of the King
How Beautiful the hands that serve
The wine and the bread and the sons of the Earth
How Beautiful, how beautiful, how beautiful is the body of Christ

I am so sorry that I didn't post more this morning. DH flew in from Korea last night and we didn't get to bed until after midnight. I was late starting school this morning. The ordinary routine was out the window. We are so happy to have DH back home!!! (He was there for work for almost 3 weeks.)

MiNNiE2185, I love the Chris Tomlin version of that song! Hemi-mom, thanks for the video link! It was wonderful. I called DDs in here to watch it with me. They like the song too.

Hemi-mom, thanks for your songs. How Beautiful is one that really holds a dear place in my heart. The story is too long and hard to explain here on a message board, but God used that song in a tremendous way to speak to DH and me when we lived in Venezuela! :goodvibes

Good morning eveyrone!

I wanted to sing my favorite resurrection song with you. This one gives me chills every time!

Arise My Love
By Newsong

Not a word was heard
at the tomb that day.
Just shuffling of soldiers feet
as they guarded the grave.
One day, two days,
three days had past.
Could it be that Jesus
breathed His last?

Could it be that His Father
had forsaken him?
Turned his back on his son
dispising our sin.
All hell seemed to whisper
"Just forget Him, He's dead."
Then the Father looked down
to his son and he said..

Arise, My love.
Arise, My love.
The grave no longer
has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering
Arise...Arise...my love.

The Earth trembled
and the tomb began to shake,
and like lightening
from Heaven the stone was rolled away.
And as dead man
the guards they all stood there in fright
As the power of love
displayed its might
Then suddenly a melody
filled the air
Riding wings of wind,
it was everywhere
The words all creation
had been longing to hear
The sweet sound of victory,
so loud and clear.

Arise, my love.
Arise, my love.
The grave no longer has a hold on you.
No more death's sting
no more suffering
Arise...arise....

Sin, where are your shackles?
Death, where is your sting?
Hell; has been defeated.
The grave could not hold the king.

Arise, My love.
Arise, My love.
The grave no longer
has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering
Arise....Arise....Arise

THANK YOU JESUS, MY SAVIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The person that posted the video explained that it was used as a background to a musical so there are some times that the screen is blank. However, it is still wonderful!

On My Cross/FFH

How wide is Your love,
That you would stretch Your arms and go around the world?
And why, for me, would a Savior's cry be heard?
I don't know why You went where I was meant to go
I don't know why You love me so

Those were my nails
That was my crown
That pierced Your hands and Your brow
Those were my thorns
Those were my scorns
Those were my tears that fell down
And just as You said it would be
You did it all for me
And after You counted the cost
You took my shame, my blame,
On my cross

How deep is Your grace that You could see my need
And choose to take my place
And then for me these words I'd hear you say,
"Father, No... forgive them for they know not what they do.
I will go because I love them so."

Those were my nails
That was my crown
That pierced You hands and Your brow
Those were my thorns
Those were my scorns
Those were my tears that fell down
And just as You said it would be
You did it all for me
And after You counted the cost
You took my shame, my blame,
On my cross

If Not For Christ/FFH

If not for Christ I would surely fall, Over myself and bear the fault

Of all my sins so terrible

If not for Christ I would surely fall, If not for Christ I would surely fall

If not for Christ I would surely break, Under the weight of my mistakes

And in my sin be kept away

If not for Christ I would surely break, If not for Christ I would surely break

It was for me He bled and died, It was my sword that pierced His side

It was my name that Jesus cried

When on that tree He bled and died. It was for me He bled and died

And now to Christ I owe it all, He is to me a tower strong

Salvation does to me belong

It is to Christ I owe it all, It is to Christ I owe it all
