Christian Music Groups?

I am not much of a music person, but since I got a MP3 player, I have been looking for music to listen to. I know of Casting Crowns and MercyMe, but do any of you know anymore Christian groups it would be much appreciated.

because some of my music is sorta un-religious.. er simple plan has a song that is completely against god and hedley says something about jesus.

Plus what is Night of Joy, I heard of it before, but has been a long time.

My favorite Christian bands (which happen to be some of my favorite bands in general) are Relient K, MxPx and Five Iron Frenzy. Switchfoot and the O.C. Supertones are good as well.

There's a Christian rock station called Radio U that's in a few cities, but you can also listen to it at radiou.com. There's a ton of Christian bands out there in pretty much every genre. Radio U plays pretty much everything, so listening to it might give you some ideas of what you like.

Night of Joy is a two night concert event at Magic Kingdom! It is held each year, this being the 24th year! It is September 8 and 9th this year and tickets just went on sale. Here is the line up...

Performers tentatively scheduled for September 8 (Friday):

-- Vicky Beeching

-- Jeremy Camp
-- Smokie Norful
-- Hawk Nelson
-- ZOEgirl
-- Tonex

Usually there are 10 bands that play each night, so more might be added. Michael W. Smith is almost always part of these concerts, but he isn't showing at all yet....so we are hoping he will show up for Saturday night!!!

Universal also has the same thing going on, same nights. It is called Rock the Universe. newboys are playing there, plus a bunch of others I have never heard of..so we will pass even though we LOVE them!

That sounds like so much fun, the only problem is I live in Texas, and school starts back in august. Oh well. such is life.
