Chrisa versus Stacy

My ten year old loves to watch the tv show referring to the top 10 (now 7) rides in WDW whenever we go there. Up until this year there was a girl named Chrisa (sp?) that always talked about the rides. Cheerful, full of smiles and a great laugh. She was enjoyable to listen to and my son loved her (although at 10, he still hates girls in general).

Well this year they got a new person named Stacy. My son was stunned. The switch in personalities (and accent) was pronounced. No more midwestern farm girl, hello New York, and I work in New York.

Stacy says about the Rockin Roller Coaster " In the name of all that rocks, hit it dude!!) What in the world was Disney thinking? My son cannot stand more than about 2 minutes of listening to her. Some lines are the same but her voice is just grating.

We can only hope someone comes to their senses and brings back Chrisa!!

Fortunately my son will be distracted by his first visit to Stormalong Bay so maybe we can keep the TV off.

I preferred Krissa too, but I like Stacy just fine (and she is fine, isn't she), but the kids and I enjoyed bith. Of course Krissa was waaaaaay to enthusiastic and perky for DW ("it's a Disney thing" I explained to here), and finds Stacy a bit more palatable, but she still wants to change the channel.

this is toooo funny, when chrissa first came on all the gripeing was, where did the "zippidy do da tip for today" show go, and who is this awful girl. now everyone wants her back.

My DS3 loves this show! He actually asks me to watch it at home. We have the link on my computer and he will watch in on the laptop while eating his lunch. He absolutely knows the entire thing by heart!!!

Anyone know if there is a link to the updated version (with Everest)? Even if Stacy is annoying, is sure does satisfy my Disney craving .

I too was devistated on our last stay when we saw Stacy. She's ok, but she's not the original. I thought it was Krista by the way??

She is great and was on our TV every day while there.

My almost 10 yr old is another fan of "Crazy Chrissa" as she became known to our family. My boys loved watching her -and our favorite line is when she goes by the Indiana Jones show and says "Indiana Jones - he's cute!" (LOL - they always know I'm going to say that every time we're at MGM).

Stacy is ok, and I do like how they update the show with new attractions ... I think the biggest disappointment for me in the change of hosts was that much of the script was the same -- hearing Stacy say that Indiana Jones is cute just isn't, well, as cute as when Chrissa said it.

And hey - I forgot about the Zip-a-dee-doo-dah tips! Thanks for the memory - and thanks for the link - I can't wait to link my boys up to watch the Top 7 from their home computer - they'll love it!

I thought my kids were the only ones who memorized this. They loved Stacy, we have never seen the other. In fact, we checked out of SSR then went to the beach for a few days and decided to go back to disney. We stayed at a Courtyard in Lake Buena Vista and told the kids not to expect her on the tv. But since it is a "Good Neighbor Hotel", there she was. They were excited. Then when we got home DH found the link. Watching it every once in a while should hold them over until next time.

So I feel compelled to report that my boys say THANK YOU for the links to the Top 7 online ~ that's the first thing they did this morning upon booting up their PC. Hopefully they didn't make the babysitter watch it too many times today.

I didn't know Crissa wasn't on any more until I read this thread. Clearly it's been too long since we went home. Caught a little Stacy, and I don't see much difference. Both are perky overload. Kind of like how my 12 year old talks incessantly after a loooong day at work. Will you please shut up? SHUUUUUUUTTT UUUUUUUUPP!!!!!

I wonder why it's only a top seven list now. Is WDW not as good any more?
