I had no idea who he even was and had to google.
Keeping track (and bragging) about how many human beings you killed isn't war.
Yes it is. He was a sniper, the best sniper. How do you determine who the best sniper is? Well, by kills or distance. His longest distance was approximately 2100 yards. Belittling a man's prowess at his position when he served four tours in Iraq received 14 different awards and decorations, including two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals is what irritates me. Comparing Chris Kyle's actions to gun violence is
IMHO disgusting.
Let's say you are a general in wartime. You have a situation that calls for a sniper. It's a huge situation, very very pivotal. How do you determine which sniper to send in? These are not hand to hand combat guys, they can't measure performance the same as others. You determine performance of a sniper, whose job it is to hit a target, by how many targets he has hit.
By the way, in regards to your comment about him bragging....
"In an interview last year with NBC News, Kyle said he didn't want to put the number of kills in the book but the publisher insisted.
"If I could figure out the number of people I saved, that's something I would brag about," he told NBC.
Have you watched interviews with this man? Because I have yet to see one where he was "bragging".
