Chowder at Columbia Harbour House

Based on all the good reviews of it here and all allearsnet.com, I finally tried the chowder on my visit this past November. I really liked it. I seem to recall it being heavier on potatoes than clams, but it had a good flavor. Not too salty either, which is usually an issue for me with soup. You can get the half sandwich and cup of soup combo, so if you don't like the chowder, you can still eat the sandwich. I like the Lighthouse Sandwich, but I've heard the tuna is very good, too.

I like it. I wouldn't rate it as one of the best I ever had but I almost always have it when we eat there. It's typical clam chowder, enough clams but as was said maybe a little heavier on potatoes. Not overly thick but not watery thin either.

I had it with lunch on Friday and it was very good- whole clams and lots of them. Definitely not like the little wimpy bits you get from a can of Snow's!

I'm not big on seafood, but my MIL got it once and loved it. She was very impressed with a counter service having such good chowder, with lots of big clams in it. I've read that same review quite often on here as well.

It's very good for counter service, but not the best I've ever had. I really enjoy that & half of the tuna sandwich. We love Columbia Harbor House, it's a nice, cool, relaxing place with better food choices than the same old chicken fingers & fries. A lot of people don't even know you can eat upstairs, it's always empty up there. If you get the corner table you can see the parade going by in Frontierland, as well as the entrance to Haunted Mansion. We ate here twice on our last trip!
