Everyone raves about the Chocolate Wave and it does look delicious. But since it's all chocolate, it looks very rich too. Has anyone asked for ice cream or extra whipped cream to go along with it, to help cut the sweetness? Thanks!

It used to come with ice cream, but sadly they change a good thing often at WDW.

You could ask though.

Does anyone know if the Wave contains alcohol? The menu seems to indicate it does but I just wanted to make sure since we don't drink.

I love cake, but I was disappointed in the Chocolate Wave. To me, it was a bit boring...it was basically an upside down cupcake with some flakes of chocolate on top and some sugary glaze in the center. I don't recall it having a liquor taste.

I've seen some great pictures of the cupcakes at the MK Main Street Bakery. I'm going to check those out this time. Also there was a mini bundt cake that looked delicious!

Somewhere on here, there's a thread going with photos of desserts or snacks. I can't remember which. I wrote down every one I want to try. Good thing there's lots of walking in the parks. Ha!

Norway has some neat bakery items too.

Also read where the Writers Stop in DHS has carrot cake sandwich cookies, with creme cheese frosting in the middle.

Have fun on your trip!

On our last trip to the coral reef I had the chocolate wave. I ordered ice cream on the side or it would have been too sweet for me. I believe they charged $2.50 for a small scoop of ice cream and that was in 2008.

Thanks ... I'm glad I can get the ice cream, even though that price is outrageous!

Thanks - I guess that is out!

Remember, when anything...Anything... is cooked using an alcohol of some sort, wine, rum, grand marnier etc...the alcohol is cooked out or burned off. All that is left is the flavor. There is no alcohol content at all.

Thanks for that info!
