Chocolate Wave at Coral Reef

Doesn't that have some sort of alcohol in it, and, what flavor is the alcohol?

It sounds really yummy, and dh loves chocolate, but he isn't fond of fruity flavors or mint.

It does have alcohol which is grand marnier which has an orange flavor. The taste of alcohol is more noticeable than the orange flavor in my opinion. It was the best dessert we had on our last trip for both myself and my husband and we have pretty different tastes in desserts (this was the only place we ordered the same thing).

I could barely taste the alcohol. It was so good, I can't wait to have it again in Aug. I think it's my favorite dessert ever.

There was alcohol in it?? Tried it in March and it was to dye for, very rich and chocolate. Ours came with a small itty bitty bowl of ice cream on the side to calm the chocolate taste. It is heaven sent for women that time of the month

My families favorite dessert at WDW by far. When we were there last year we made a second ADR during our trip just to have. Yum, I can't wait until August it's calling me for sure.

Funny re: Chocolate Wave -- described it to dh yesterday, and he made a face because of the Grand Mariner(sp?). Go figure! Maybe I will have to try it. LOL
(But I really like the sound of both the butterscotch brulee and the pineapple upside down cake....decisions, decisions....)

My dh and I met at WMU. He loved the butterscotch brulee, I tried a bite and it was wonderful not as good as the Wave though!

had it last week -could'nt really taste alcohol or orange--just tasted really rich. Almost like semi-sweet chocolate or really dark choc.But very good --served warm.

K, probably a really stupid question but is there enough alcohol in it that you would need to be 21 to get it? I really want to try it (no, not because of the alcohol ) and I just don't want to be embarassed and not be able to order it. TIA!

No not a stupid question at all. But, there isn't nearly enough alchol in it for you to have to be 21 in order to eat it. On our last trip my 10 year old ordered it and loved it. Enjoy it.

That is my favorite dessert in WDW next to the Dole Whip. I made ADRs for CR in June just so I can have it again.....Can't wait!!!!!!

while DH luvs chocolate (eats it for breakfast lol); the dessert was way too sweet for him.

we shared our choices, i thought it was too rich myself - guess it's all a matter of taste --- we did enjoy the brulee and cheesecake.
