Chocolate Mickey statues for dessert...?

I just finished reading the thread with the lovely cakes with the castles...the slippers...and the Mickey statues! How cute all that is!

I will be in the World in October on my "familymoon". I just recently remarried after being a single mom for quite a few years I am trying to make this trip so very special for the 4 of us. We also joined DVC last fall and this is our first trip with that also. I tried and tried for an illuminations cruise but had absolutely no luck (sad face here...). That was the one thing I really wanted to do for my new family.

We are dining at the CG on our trip. Does anyone know if you can order these awesome looking desserts thru that hotel? I really would like our dinner to be so very special.

I'm fairly sure you can call the restaurant and they can assist you or connect you with someone who can assist you. However just as a warning those individual cakes are about $25, the slippers I've heard range from $8-$14, and the chocolate mickey (when he comes with the chocolate coverered strawberries) is about $50!

Yeah, they are not cheap, but it's a great WOW factor sort of treat. I am hoping to be able to do something special for Gabby like this in December. Maggie
