:lmao:

I'll be in your shoes with kindergartners who don't want to leave mom and dad soon after.

I need that link too, if you don't mind.... a dole whip candle sounds insane!!!!

I will PM you the website :)

Here's my Vera Bradley bag and my Coach bag. Last year, as much as I do love the Coach bag, the straps started to bother me - hot and irritating around the neck and or shoulders. The straps are pretty thick. This year, the Vera Bradley bag was VERY light and easy on the shoulders and neck. It has lots of compartments, so you can fit all your cards, id's, etc... I think a normal size bottle of water might have fit in the open pocket in the back. But, not a large bottle. This is now my "Disney bag" and I will keep the Coach bag for other trips. (it was great for Manhattan!)
(DH carried a small backpack, so we put the ponchos and extra water in his.)

This is part of my first aid kit for DH and his blister problem. Seriously, last year I thought I might have to take him to the ER... he had blisters in his blisters. (from the Crocs beach clogs - I don't think he broke them in enough. Then he went to his sneakers and socks, but the damage was done!
This year - his Ecco sandals were much better. HE said they didn't feel "fantastic", but it was better than the crocs and NO BLISTERS!

I love both bags. What style is the Vera Bradley? I really like the thin straps and the design.

I'm going to look for those blister things at either Target or Duane Reade today. I think it'll definitely be helpful to pack a little first aid kit in case of a blister emergency.

Oh did you buy your ponchos at home or in Disney? I bought ponchos from Target. But I can''t find a poncho small enough for T.

Ok, I just found a website that sells Disney Vacation scented candles. Their slogan is "Take the smell of Disney home!" I'm hoping the smell does not include restrooms or the smell of sweaty people jammed in the monorail.

I have to further investigate these candles.
Further investigation reveals the following:
- all items are currently "out of stock"
- complaints on "forum" boards that items have been ordered and paid for but not received
- descriptions lead me to believe these are simply regular (Yankee? or other brand) candles with commonly-occurring scents, repackaged with the Disney names.

If I were Disney, I'd shut them down.

Now, I think I'll go to Bed Bath and Beyond and buy the following candles:
Juicy Orange (Soarin)
Ocean Water (Soarin)
Sparkling Pine (Soarin)
Farmhouse Apple (Philharmagic and Snow White)
Sparkling Cinnamon (Main Street Bakery)

Some, I couldn't find. Nice try at a small business, but I don't think it's working. :confused3

I hate when businesses take people's money and fail to deliver. What a scam!!!

I agree that they probably aren't making candles at all.

What about the popcorn scent? :lmao:

Ohhh I love Bed Bath and Beyond.

I bought a candle in Louisiana a few years ago and it smelled like sugar cookies. I need to find that website and order some.

Vera Bradley bag is : "Mini Hipster - Java Blue"....

I got my blister things in CVS, so I'm sure Target or Duane Reade will have them, too. I'm telling you, if you could have seen how bad DH's feet were last year, you'd run to get that kit.

Our ponchos are from our trip in 1996 !!! LOL :lmao:
DD feels the yellow Disney ones are too obnoxious, so she has a clear one from "Rocking Horse Ranch" in the Catskills... and I bought a funny "High School Musical" little raincoat at Target or the Dollar Store for her. She wore it once. lol

Try the Dollar Store for a kid's size poncho for T, or a little raincoat.

I'm going to check online for the Vera Bradley. I did order a bag, but I'm not sure if it's comfy.

Your poor DH! I'm glad your trip last month was blister free.

I remember the yellow Disney ponchos :lmao:

Okay, I'm jumping in and I swear it's semi-related.

Many many moons ago...ahem...

(I was still in high school.)

...ahem...I bought a candle in Downtown Disney in the Christmas shop there, and it was soooooooooo wonderful. It smelled like the most wonderful baked good, cookie, cake, sugary sweet type of scent you would want in your home during the holidays. Alas, I used it all up, as you should do with candles, and I've never been able to find its like since.

:::sigh::::

your adr's look great.

the candles I would say are from Yankee candle and they put there own label on it. seems kinda shady and there are complaints on the website they r selling them for not recieving merchandise.

Go to bed Bath and beyond and buy your own. I did yesterday.

u r so close.

Wow! That's a lot of "EATING"! :lmao:

We don't eat nearly that much in Disney. :rotfl:
We eat breakfast at one of the bakeries or from the Lobby bar at the Dolphin, we eat lunch when the mood hits us and mostly counter service, and then we eat nice at dinner.

You're hitting some of our favorites from this past trip:
Chefs de France *MY FAVORITE!!!
Kona, and Liberty Tree Tavern were two we tried for the first time this trip and LOVED THEM. (Thanks to Scott for his recommendation of Kona and our friends, for the recommendation of LTT!)

That is the best scent ever! I'm going to look for that scent next month. Since I can't cook, I like my house to smell as if I can :lmao:
If I find it, I'll let you know :)

And this is a bit unrelated, but I really want to go to Basin. I love soaps and lotions. I don't know how I missed it in January. I'm thinking I could get some early Christmas shopping done.

Thanks!!! I'm excited about doing deluxe dining again.

Very shady indeed. What a scam!!!
I need to buy some yummy smelling candles to get in the Disney mood. Wait, I don't need candles for that :lmao:

I cannot believe how time flies. I'm so excited that Disney is less than a month away.

I actually do not eat that much either, but we are doing deluxe dining again. My mom and I liked having three meals prepaid. We made the ADRs because we know it's going to be busy and will probably not be able to walk into any of the table service restaurants. Plus, I really hate searching for a table with a 4 year old. Not fun at all.

I'm so excited about Chefs de France. Initially, I was nervous about booking this with a 4 year old, but they have a children's menu. So they obviously welcome kids. The menu looks so yummy. I can't wait. Plus, I've read more positive reviews on Chefs than Teppan Edo.

I love Kona for breakfast. Their dinner menu is just like the Poly's room service menu. We may have dinner there one night and cancel something. We'll see.

And we could not pass up Liberty Tree Tavern, especially now that it will no longer be a character meal. I definitely want to take a pic with Colonial Mickey.

Have you tried Le Cellier or Coral Reef? Those are on my list too. So is Bluezoo.

After a nice dinner with friends at Outback, I've decided that I have to stop at Target today. Maybe it's the pina colada that's clouding my judgement.

Up later: Did I buy more trip stuff? Or did I abstain?

So, after reading about the possible usage of the Yankee candles to mimic Disney scents, I went tripping merrily over to the Yankee website -- wow! I guess it has been awhile since I looked at their stuff! They have so many scents to choose from! Anyway, a quick glance did not yield anything that looked like a Dole Whip float scent, but it could be hiding under a different name -- like Summer Smoothie or something. Anyway, to make a long story short, I am headed to a mall tomorrow that also happens to have a Yankee candle shop there -- I will continue my research and report back. :thumbsup2

Hmmm or could it be under something with pineapple in it? There's a Yankee Candle Co. store within walking distance from me. I may just have to stop in on my way home from the gym tomorrow.

I have to check that website again to see if there's a phone number.

ok.... almost got it goin for ya Jenn :) but need you to tell us a little bit more ;) hehe
