*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

Ok, I just found a website that sells Disney Vacation scented candles. Their slogan is "Take the smell of Disney home!" I'm hoping the smell does not include restrooms or the smell of sweaty people jammed in the monorail.

I have to further investigate these candles.

Actually, they sell a popcorn candle, as well as dole whip, pirates of the caribbean, soarin' and pooh bear. I wouldn't mind my home smelling like popcorn.

Okay, where can I find these candles???

Holy Footwear, Batman!

:worship: :worship: :worship:

And I thought I had shoe issues...:lmao:

Hey, as long as you wear them and love them, I'm all for it, and I really am bowing down to the shopping prowess. Love, love, love tees and undies for your nephew. Too, too cute.:goodvibes

Do you want me to PM you the link? I found it when I was searching for Disney gift baskets.

I do have major shoe issues :rotfl2: And I feel like I'm personally supporting the Nike corporation :rotfl:

Thanks :) Target had such a great sale yesterday, it was hard to pass up.

Yesterday I made a change to our ADRs. We were originally suppose to have lunch at Teppan Edo in Epcot on our first full day. Well after shopping, my mom and I decided to go online to check the menu. Since it's one of those places where the teppan chefs cook in front of you and we've been to places like that before (there's one right in our neighborhood), we figured it wasn't unique or all that interesting. Also, you have to sit at the table with another group in a sort of U shape around the grill. It makes it harder to actually have a conversation with your group. Plus, after many trips where we encountered rude, obnoxious people, we decided that we didn't want to risk it.

Here are our ADRs. The change I made last night is in red.

I loved the Memory Keeper's Daughter.

Did you buy all of those shoes at DSW today?!? How did you get them all up to the counter and back to your car and then up to your apartment?!? I am IMPRESSED! I am going to show that to my DH to show him that I am not the only one who thinks it's necessary to have the same flip flops in multiple colors. I love those Nike mary jane shoes. Please let me know if they're comfortable.

Can you be my aunt and buy me fun new PJs?
But of COURSE it is a NECESSITY to have flip flops in multiple colors! That's a LAW or something!
And of course you have to have the same flip flops in different colors. How else would they match different ensembles? My exbf thinks just like your DH. He doesn't get that I NEED lots of shoes.

The Nike mary jane shoes are super comfy. I've been prancing around my apartment in them.
See... it IS a LAW!
(at least DD thinks so!) Ordered her a pair of HOT PINK Vans - she LOVES THEM. I did really well with my Athens Crocs flip flops this trip. Also brought a pair of Merrells, "just in case", but the Athens were terrific. Only one tiny little toe blister toward the end of the trip. :woohoo: DH wore sandals for the FIRST TIME in his life, wrapped his feet in moleskin, and NO BLISTERS THIS YEAR! :cool1: He couldn't believe I was making him purchase $100 Ecco sandals, but I told him I wasn't going through what we did last year with him - he had blisters on top of his blisters. Not pretty.

It's me Tour Guide Jordan...I am starting to plan my June 09 13 day trip right now.....no PTR though...at least not until I finish my TR.....:scared1:
We are thinking about the end of June again - if our dates work out, we'll have to meet for a GREY GOOSE SLUSHIE, or a mai tai, or a tangerine daquiri, or a ........
For our night at the CR, I'm thinking of having a chocolate monorail sent to the room for him.
Nice idea, but CHOCOLATE in AUGUST in FLORIDA?! might want to rethink that one.... :goodvibes

Hot pink vans sound really cute!! And I'm glad you agree that it's the law to have the same shoes in different colors.

I need to check out the Athens Crocs flip flops. I tried on the closed in Crocs, including the mary janes, and was not that thrilled. I think they look cute on other people, but looked awful on me. Am I being a fashionista? :lmao:

Merrells are so comfy. And so are Eccos. So glad your DH didn't get blisters. It just makes touring so uncomfortable and you don't even enjoy what you see. I know his pain. I get blisters easily myself.

I've never used moleskin. I need to get some.

A Grey Goose slushie next June sounds great!!!

I have to call the CR to make sure the chocolate monorail is coming from somewhere in the hotel. I cannot imagine taking chocolate outside in August. We'll have chocolate milk!!!

MY OPINION - (I know others feel differently, and that's ok - that's what makes the world go round! :rotfl: ) - "Closed" Crocs are TOO HOT for Disney World. I like my Beach Clogs for the fall around the house and DH uses his in the yard after hating them last year in WDW, but I found my feet were WAY TOO HOT the day I wore them in the parks. Switched to the Athens flip flops (although my mother was always anti-flip flop - NO SUPPORT!! ) and did great. This year I didn't even bring sneakers!

Moleskin and Dr. Scholl's blister bandages are a must for DH when we go to Disney! Band Aid makes a "Blister glide" too that is good!

That's how I felt when I tried the Crocs on. I was in the air conditioned Crocs store and my feet felt hot. They would make me crazy. Plus, how do you just pick one color?

My mom is a lot like your mom. She keeps telling me not to wear flip flops when we go to the parks because my feet will hurt and won't have any support. But I will have my sneakers as a back up.

Idid not know Dr. Scholl's made blister bandages. I need to take a trip to Duane Reade today.

I will get the camera out and take a picture of the box - and of my Vera Bradley bag... LOL

Just wanted you to know I made it over. Your nephew is soooo adorable! Makes me go through a temporary moment of insanity and want another!

Now to figure out how to read 148 pages
