*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

That shirt is GREAT!! Sesame Street was in its hayday when my brother were little, so I had an "excuse" to watch.. my favorite skit was those two muppets who used to sing: "ba da da bup, bop bee bi dee dee, bad da da bup, bop bee di bee..." and then would go off on the beat, then the one would glare at the other, and then they'd get back on track. Anyone remember that one? Please come to my aid here, so it doesn't look like I need to be carted away.....:lmao:

As for Ms. Poppins - well she is only PRACTICALLY perfect in every way.... :rolleyes1

Hmm never had it. Is is really sweet or more tart? ;)

Used to like a kir royale, but they started to get too "sweet" for my taste. Still like a grey goose gimlet, up. Or a GOOD mai tai, with the THREE rums! :woohoo:

I do not remember that skit, but I don't think you need to be carted away :lmao: I'm going to look for it on Youtube.

:rotfl2: Well you do have a point about Ms. Poppins.

I've never had a gimlet. I have to try one of those too. That mai tai you had looked really good.

I loved Borat! :lmao:
I`m wondering about OHanas b-fast also..I`ve only done dinner. we really liked it..i wonder if you can get a LAPU LAPU with b-fast? :goodvibes

do the breakfast, it was great. No Lapu I asked. :) No I did not, but the juice they serve was so delicious.

As for chambord I like. yum.

So if u get it are we having a house warming dismeet?

I'm excited about breakfast at Ohana. We're doing that on the morning of check out. We're going to sleep in and go to Ohana at 10.

We should have a house warming dismeet. We can get together over drinks and talk about Disney plans :lmao:

Thanks :) Hopefully, everything will work out with this one and I won't have to keep looking.

I'm going to place a WDW guidebook order today. What are you currently using?

My two favorites at the moment are Passporter (which you have, right?) and the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World 2008 (it is FULL of great color pictures and LOTS of information -- back stories on the rides and stuff). It's fantastic!!! That's the one I would recommend this year! I also have the Imagineer's Guide to Epcot, but I have not been as pleased with that one. It's interesting, but...

Just found you! Halfway through reading and had to just chime in:

1. Your nephew has the biggest brightest smile! What a cutie!
2. For snacks, I just love the Frozen Bananas! Yum! Dole Whip floats are good, Rice Krispie Mickey Heads are yummy as are the giant chocolate dipped strawberries.
3. Deluxe Dining sounds like a dream to me, I love to eat out!
4. Sounds like a great trip, CR and Poly! NICE!

Oh and I had my gall bladder out 11 years ago and those gall bladder attacks are no fun. Glad you have the surgery behind you now!

Allyson :)

they have a lovely mickey kitchen section at WOD. always have to bring a gift. :)

Your pics are cute, as usual! Your brothers shirts is a must have! LOL:lmao:
Dane hasa couple garbage pale kids shirts and EVERYWHERE we go people asked where he got them.....love it!

We are eating Ohanas breakfast for the first time this year so Let me know what you think about it! We had dinner there last year and it was actually one of our favorites. BUT we hated Coral Reef and ALOT of people lPOVEthat place.:confused3

:welcome: So glad you're joining me as I attempt to plan this trip.

1. Thanks :)
2. I have never tried the Frozen Bananas. Gotta get one this trip and a Dole Whip! I love Rice Krispie Mickey heads too!!!
3. I love deluxe dining. It's so convenient to have all three meals prepaid.
4. Thanks. I am really looking forward to trying the CR.

Gall bladder attacks are the worst! I'm so glad I never have to experience that again!

I am sure you will enjoy.

Now I'm considering buying an apartment. :scared1: I need to make up my mind.

Thank you :flower3:
I remember garbage pail kids. You have to post pics of Dane's shirts. I got my brother a Superbad tshirt :lmao:

I think we had a bad experience at Ohana because of our server. She practically forgot about our table and the two next to us. I'm sure if we had a better server, our experience would have been better.

I'd love to hear more about what you thought of Coral Reef.

I think all of the Disney restaurants get mixed reviews. It really depends on individual tastes and service at the time of the visit.

I have to get the Complete Guide. I love pictures

You won't be disappointed! It is so full of beautiful pictures!

Also, I keep meaning to tell you -- I read where you mentioned you were thinking of getting the Hidden Mickeys book for you and T. I have an extra copy (brand-new) that my MIL gave us (we already have a copy). You are welcome to it if you want! :goodvibes It needs a good home!

Aren't books with color pictures just the best for planning a vacation?

That would be great! I'd buy the book from you :)

I still need to book a hotel and buy airfare to Atlanta :scared1: I'm such a procrastinator when it comes to places other than Disney.

The more pictures the better! :thumbsup2

You don't have to buy the book -- it was a gift to us, so I will just "regift" it! :rotfl:

Book the same hotel as Brittbritt and then the two of you can hang out.

I am the same way -- I can decide where I want to eat 6 months in advance if it's Disney, but anyplace else...forget it.

Well if you send the book, then I'll have to send you and your kids some goodies from the World of Disney store in NYC.

Disney planning is really a disease :lmao:

I won't say no to that deal! :goodvibes :goodvibes

PM me your mailing address when you get a chance and I will put Hidden Mickeys in the mail for you.

That's for sure. I have spent my day making DIS tags and mousekeeping envelopes for a trip that is still 63 days away!

Just checking in after being away for the weekend.

Glad you found 2 apts you like. Good luck in narrowing it down.

If I can't get a Lapu Lapu, I hope I can get a mimosa.
I'd sure ask for that Lapu Lapu at breakfast. If you can't, maybe just stop by the Poly on an afternoon break from the parks and snag one.

I don't remember that one, but my two favorites were ma-nuh-mah-nuh doo-doot-do-do-doo and the skit where the aliens are outside the house trying to communicate with the telephone. Anyone remember those?

Also, someone said something about remembering when Snuffie was Big Bird's imaginary friend. What happened? Is Snuffie gone now?

Thanks. Apartment/condo/house hunting in NYC is a nightmare! And they're all small. I need to move to a different state.

I'll get Lapu Lapus and take them to the pool in the afternoon.

I remember the aliens. Now I have to look them up online :lmao:

If I understand correctly, at first people thought Snuffie was imaginary. But he wasn't. I don't think people saw Snuffie.
