Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

I've read some threads about that as well...where people who finish their ADRs are held and don't get to head to the rides until 9:00 a.m.? Of course, I still think we could beat the rope drop crowds since we have a head start at the castle (CRT) - LOL!! I can't decide if I want to tempt it or not!!! It would be nice to save that FP for another ride later in the day. BTW - what were you thoughts overall about TPs wait times and crowd level predictions to what was really going on in the Parks the days you were there?

Did you look at the dibb calendar? I found it helpful. We only needed 3 spots but it was still accurate for us. The 10th and 13th was completely booked before our time and we could only get a&e on our last full day. We still had good luck with the other things though.

We will be there during the food and wine festival. With the adr so difficult and fp going so quickly, I am a little worried that it might be more crowded than they were predicting.

I did check the dibb calendar and 7dmt is currently available on my MK day. I'm just hoping it stays like that for a few more days.

I'm so glad I'm not going for an A&E FP and hope everyone wanting it gets one.

That was my original plan too...but I keep going back and forth on that FP...so many decisions!!! I have to figure it out soon since my FP window opens soon!!

I completely forgot about my fast pass window opening up, and didn't book my passes until mid morning. I got 7DMT on 2 different days and and A&E. I didn't care what my fast pass times were as long as they didn't interfere with any of the ADRs I worked so hard for!! Got everything we wanted, and plan to take advantage of 8:00 BOG reservations and rider swap to maximize our ride time!

My FP opens on the 15th...the crowd calendar has my MK day as a 3 and it's a party day so I'm hoping people skip MK that day. 7DMT is one of my FP wish list items so I'm hoping I don't have as much trouble as I'm seeing reported! Sorry for all those that didn't get the FPs they want.

I have a pre-park opening CRT (assuming they don't extend park hours) and was planning on hitting 7dmt right after breakfast but TPs shows even then it's a 30 minute wait. So I thought I'd hit another high wait ride first thing and then FP 7dmt. Do people really think at 9:00 a.m. 7dmt is already a 30 minute wait??

I would try to secure 7DMT as a FP. The chance that MK might open at 8am exists and if it's a must do try to get it. If they don't have enough for your party search by 1 person only. I had luck last year getting ones that overlapped. Actually last year Disney went ahead and released more FP's down the line for 7DMT though it seemed tougher to get last year. I made my FP's last night but 7DMT was not one of our choices. We rode it twice last year and frankly found it very underwhelming. My kids are more thrill seekers too and it's more of a kiddie coaster. Definitely try it though! If I waited any more that 30 minutes I would not have been happy! I would FP mine train, go straight to something like Space Mountain or PP Flight. We are booked to be there on the 15th also, hoping it will be a good day! I did my FP's this morning and I just looked right now and plenty of availability that day for 7DMT for a party of 4. Is your time tonight?

I figured the coaster wouldn't be too exciting but hope it's at least themed cute??!!

Yes it's totally cute and I'd recommend it. I think I had higher expectations. Plus it's a really short ride. Are you doing BOG for dinner that night?

Thanks!! And we are doing CRT for breakfast and BOG for dinner. But it's a 4:05 dinner...so kinda a weird time so I'm going to keep searching for a later time. But I'm obviously happy I have an actual dinner ADR!

Hmmm...later times would work for me as well. There's 2 of us and we're arriving on 11/14 and doing MK on 11/17. So I guess the FP options you see being able to book already are going to be my same options I'll see come 09/15?

No people will fill up the availability I see right now but it ooks like for 7DMT you can get FPs about 3 days into your booking. I can see getting A&E, wishes and the parades is a bit tougher. I have to say compared to last year there seems to be more FP availability all around. I know people are nervous the parks will be super crowded so I consider that a good sign!

It's also good to know FP looks better this year than last year. I'm definitely one of those who's worried about crowd levels!!

I'm completely frustrated with the amount of time I'm spending pre-vacation to book FP and ADRs. It's really starting to take some of the excitement away for me. UGH!

We had to book A&E on the last day of our trip....it's likely not going to work so I'm still hoping to get something else. It's insane!

Updated - how does one post interest the ADRs of interest? Is there a forum for that without having to pay for a service which I refuse to do as that should be banned by Disney?

There are some Facebook cancellation groups that allows trades and want posts. Some people posted the links on this thread at one point...if you go to the search box on the top right of your screen you can search "Facebook" in "This thread only" and find the links. I haven't checked out those groups but from comments on here they seem to have a lot of activity.

I'm guessing the Dis doesn't allow "want/trade" type posts to avoid people hoarding popular ADRs and then trying to use them to trade for what they want and/or even try to sell them. I'm also guessing that it is just a general attempt to limit the amount of manipulation of ADRs in ways that I probably didn't even know could happen.

I do think that if you keep following the cancellation threads hopefully you'll get that TH! I've already noticed a lot more activity on that thread over the last few weeks. I think the whole new FP reservation system encourages more hoarders of ADRs than usual as people decide which park to go to based on which FPs they are able to get (definitely one of the downsides of the new FP system). So hopefully as people hit their 60 and 45 days marks for figuring out FPs, they will start to let go of a lot of their extra ADRs.

Also, I've also read that reservations often open up the day before as people have to cancel or get charged for the reservation if they don't show up. If you can't get TH before your trip, maybe have a backup and/or plan on QS and keep checking up until the morning you're heading to AK.
