Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

OMG! The Disney site is killing me. I can pick up a reservation but I can't see mine to cancel the other one OR get a cast member to help because the site is down and they can't cancel for me either. They even told me to "try" fastpasses for myself a day early because of all the glitches today. >:(

How frustrating. I hope it gets fixed for you to get your ADR straightened out.

But I will "try" for my FP even though I'm still 2 days away. Here's to hoping that the glitch is in our favor.

Our FP day is coming soon. This is our 1st trip, family of 5, kids 4, 2.5 and 1. Planning on hitting the parks early everyday. Should I worry too much about fps?

hmmmm....that makes me nervous for my FP booking tonight at midnight!

The Dining site is driving me crazy. The last two reservations that I have tried to pass off never showed for the people. I have never tried to get one myself, but I would imagine that it's really upsetting to think you are about to get a reservation you want and it never shows. grrrrrr

That is ridiculously frustrating. There have been several reports on here of that happening lately. It makes me question whether Disney actually does hold on to some reservations and then release them at a later date? Or if the restaurant is 'oversold' and so they don't release all cancellations?

It seems odd to believe all the people coordinating ADRs are losing out by someone happening to hit 'find a table' right as someone is cancelling?? But stranger things have happened!

Question about fantasmic fast pass. I have been searching for fantasmic package, but it's not looking good so far. I have H&V reservation at 5:45 and I know we won't have time to wait in line for fantasmic. Should I get a fast pass for fantasmic or would that still be not enough time? Is fast pass seating good for fantasmic?

Haven't had a successful transfer to someone yet:( I cancel to the second of when I say I will and they never show up. It's frustrating.

I released 3 ADRs today, coordinated with 3 different people. None of them were able to pick them up. :( I felt so bad.

I do not know firsthand, but I have heard that the Fantasmic fastpass seating doesn't guarantee you a seat, just that you will be let in, perhaps standing (although if you don't think you will make it within ten minutes or so of the start, there have been reports of people not being allowed in). Depending on what your plans for the day are, you may want to either fastpass ahead of time or try the day of after you use your initial three. Either way, given that you might end up cutting it close, I would try to get to the dinner reservations at least 15-20 minutes early so that (hopefully) you will be seated by your reservation time. After dinner, book it over to Fantasmic. Good luck! Hopefully someone can give you more firsthand advice. (I'm going to have to find a new hobby after this trip).

Thank you! I think showing up a little early for or res might help. I have put in for adr notices from scout and hope to get a slightly earlier time. We'll see.
Haha!! I'm not going to know what to do with myself after all the planning is over either!!

They don't hold a reservation back but I can tell you there's been a HUGE change in that when you started to book a reservation, you had ten or so minutes to finish it before it was timed out. If someone else tried to book it, it wouldn't go through all the screens for them. Well, that's over. I had 2 CMs confirm. When you start, through the finish, you need to be the first or someone faster can grab it. And a phone rep can grab it and hold it first. >_<

And I have zero problem with using and paying for a site to help you get your reservation because their searching for you saves sanity and it also takes the searching load off Disney with people sitting around, constantly refreshing. But I have a real problem with a website booking "hot" reservations they only book with a bogus name in order to sell them. I've read Disney is looking into this and I hope they do. It's blatant scalping.

I haven't had a successful trade when we switched days, but I did give one person (who I've gotten to know pretty well on fb) a reservation. I also see on the fb pages tons of people not make successful trades no matter the time. They are getting snatched up too fast and when you consider people are booking them with zero intention to use them, other than to sell them, the system is not working. If you're going to trade, it's all you can do at this point to trust the person to show up and give them your numbers.

Out of the 3 trades I have coordinated, only one has been successful. It makes me sad to hear that it is going to people that are selling them for profit.

I just need to vent! I have tried twice to coordinate a res with two people and they dropped it and it NEVER showed up for me! I'm thinking if I ever get lucky enough to actually get a person who will drop another res for me I'm just going to call Disney and tell a CM to look for it and book it for me because it's not working out. And if I miss an alert, by even a minute, and then I check and it's gone I get so mad! I just have to take a step back and realize i'm going to have a great vacation no matter what but I swear to God I'm never going to try booking a Disney vacation under 190 days again. I know you guys will understand this feeling!!

On the Disney website, starting at 12:01, to attempt to make FastPasses. And NOTHING IS WORKING! It is so frustrating to stay up, prepared to book FastPasses, only to have the Disney website be completely uncooperative. Two days down, five to go...this may be a long night.

Okay, vent over.

I feel both of your pain. I actually got through all of my days in 4 minutes using 3 computers but once I started modifying it quit working. Typical Disney website.

I haven't been able to get any of my Fps booked! I'm going it a few more minutes, then I'm going to bed. I have a sick kiddo who is sleeping at the moment and I need to be sleeping when he does. He'll be waking me up with his croupy cough soon!

I'm sorry you guys are all having troubles. I hope disney gets their crap together and get the website actually working.
