Somebody talk to me about the character buffet meals. If I'm eating a buffet I would much rather have breakfast foods than lunch or dinner, not sure why but that's my preference. I currently have an 8:25 AM breakfast booked at Tusker House but it's a day when there is AM EMH so I'm really wanting to get one more around 9:30 or 10 so I can head to Kilimanjaro Safaris first and then do breakfast after but I saw on Disney Food Blog's "breakfast" review that whenever they went they were already putting out lunch items. Does anyone have experience with this and know around what time they would start putting out lunch items? I'm trying to decide if I should just stick with the time I have to insure I get breakfast foods or if I'm safe if I have an ADR sometime between 9:30 - 10. Also, is CP the same way? I have a lunch but am hoping for a breakfast around the similar time as I'm looking for at Tusker House when BOG breakfast gets extended but maybe I should be looking for an earlier time there as well. Thanks!

If you look up the restaurant on the Disney website, it will tell you the hours that they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (look under the box where you check for reservations). The hours are different for many of the restaurants.

Right I've done that but DFB made it sound like they had a breakfast ADR but they already had lunch foods out so I'm just trying to figure out what time they would start doing that.

We did TH last year at 10:45. I'm pretty sure we didn't even get seated until closer til 11am. All the breakfast foods were out and plentiful. When we went up for round #2 they had put out lunch and left some breakfast fare in the middle but it was pretty picked over by then. With the times your thinking you will be fine.

I agree 100% - I only like buffets for breakfast!

We did CP in 2013 but I can't remember the exact reservation time. I want to say we were there around 10:00 a.m. Whenever we were there it was only breakfast food, but I feel like I also remember as we were leaving they were just starting to put out lunch, which would have been around 11:00 - 11:30. But, I don't trust my memory as to the reservation time! I have an old calendar that I still use to put notes in that has my reservations from that date and it shows 8:30 a.m., but I know we didn't do a pre-park CP that day because we got to the park later in the morning. It also shows BOG at 7:00 p.n. that night with a confirmation code, but I do remember that night we ate at CG...so...I'm pretty sure those were not our final plans in that notebook and I am pretty certain we did go around 10:00 a.m. I wonder why I cancelled BOG for CG?? Hmmm...I bet I wanted to watch the fireworks from CG and that was the only night it fit in our schedule so I sacrificed BOG.

I'm probably in the minority on this but I did not like it. I'm probably just being bitter but I got a notification from reservation watch regarding THE PERFECT CP breakfast for my family, I was literally sitting in front of my computer at the time so I immediately checked and it was gone. I checked on here to see if maybe it was one posted on the cancellation thread and had coordinated with someone and that's why I missed it. It was on the cancellation thread but just someone posting they saw an opening two minutes before I got my notification so I was sad Like I said I'm sure I'm just being bitter because I missed out so for those that have been helped by it I do hope people continue to do it and I will just pout over my CP by myself

On that note has anyone successfully booked a reservation from using reservation watch? I got a notification this morning for a 1900 Park Fare from them, it wasn't a time I wanted but I checked to see if it was still out there anyway and it was gone. I've never had an issue getting anything from Scout when I get a notification so I'm just wondering if reservation watch is slow because that's two now that have been gone when I've checked and both were watch notifications.

I'd have to agree with you. I don't love all of the 'general posts' either. I thought the whole idea of the cancellation thread was to try to coordinate cancelled ADRs with people, not just to post random openings people see. I'm sure some people find it helpful, but I do prefer when people just post their cancellations for coordination or at least fairly specific cancellation times. It gives the thread followers a little more 'exclusive benefits' that way. Oh well!

I'm seeing that too. It looks like it starts showing a breakfast and lunch schedule starting 11/8. I got excited for a second thinking maybe there would also be a breakfast schedule for BOG after 10/3 but no luck with that.

I agree but I also don't think it's just a fluke. I asked in one of my FB groups and the admin of that group is always really good about trying to find an answer. I will keep everyone updated.

I think it's going to be like when they extended BOG through Sept. We can see the schedule and in a few days or so we will probably be able to book (that's my guess anyway.) I set up a scout search for it. I think it will be my backup on our Epcot day if I can't get Chef Mickey.

The menu is on there now! Breakfast lunch and dinner.

ETA: My bad!! The breakfast menu is the same as dinner!! I jumped to conclusions too quickly.

I can't access it either. It won't come up at all, just a blank screen. Maybe they're just doing site maintenance? Hope it's not gone for good!!
