Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

I fear that MVMCP will be crowded on 11/17. :scared: Thinking of switching to 11/15. This means searching for new ADR's on those nights. Ugh. I said I was done making changes. Anyone else concerned over this?

Even after these sites are shut down, you still won't be able to get everything you want all the time.

Seriously. Its a meal. Dining. Eating. Shoving food in our mouths. If people are to the point of choosing to spend less time with their children so they can sit at their computer and make a dining reservation, I'm beginning to wonder if "Disney" is a sickness or something. Wow.

I am amazed at how much priority people are putting on eating at a certain restaurant. You are in Disney World, how much greater could that be? Be happy! If you don't get an ADR use that as a tool to teach your children that we don't always get everything we want out of life. Your kids aren't going to zone in and remember ONLY that they didn't get to eat somewhere. They're going to remember....Disney World.

I am anxiously awaiting all these sites to be closed so I can see what people start saying the culprit is next. There will be little, if any, noticeable difference in obtaining ADRs once they are gone. People can't justify in their heads that Disney is having higher attendance and free dining is a HUGE draw (along with hoarding by regular people) so they need something else to blame.

Not trying to be mean here but seriously, if you are feeling guilty about taking time away from your kids to make an ADR, you really should take a breather and calm down some.

I seriously hope that you are not sitting anywhere near me and my extremely excited children when we are having a wonderful time meeting characters while dining at a restaurant in DW. I would hate to have to watch someone shove food in their unhappy judgmental face.

I wasn't concerned until you said this. :scared: Why do you think it'll be crowded that night?

I think HS closes very early on the 17th and AK always closes early leaving only Epcot and MK.

I already bought tickets to go on the 17th. I guess I will try to plan on keeping the kids out really late and do the second parade.

Oh wait, we're not going to MVMCP on the 17th. Ours is 2 nights later and it looks like they have EMH at Epcot that night. Why is HS closing early on the 17th?

HS is closed for an event that evening (I think employees). [Edited to keep people from reading and getting confused]

I'm not sure.....it says 4:00 on MDE app.
It closing for a CM party. I think all MVMCP will be busy just read the posts about MNSSHP. However I think the best bet would be 11/15. We went the Thursday 11/19 last year and it was sold out and very crowded. I expected my kids to last past the second parade (5&8) and they didn't so It was definitely a one and done for us.

HS is closed the next day for an event (I think employees), so they are probably closing early the night before to get ready?
No true. It's open 9-8 the following day. It closes at 4 on the 17th and the employee party is that night.

I think Epcot will be packed. HS during the day will be a good bet even though they close early and there's no characterpalooza.

I see now, they have dashes under park hours like it's closed on the 18th on the parks calendar page online (I don't really use the app), but if you click on the park for day, it gives the open hours with when things are scheduled for the day. Thanks!

So out of curiosity, I found the site that will not be named and looked at it. I guess my curiosity got the better of me. I would never use it (I can't even bring myself to use scout or another search service, not that we know how long they will be around). I was a bit surprised to see that there aren't any scalped reservations for when I'm there. It makes me think that the week before Thanksgiving is going to be exceedingly crowded.

I so hope not!!!

I hope not either. From what I've read, the free dining offer brings guests to stay onsite rather than offsite. So there may be more people dining at the restaurants but park attendance is the same. At least that's what I want to hear and believe but I guess we'll find out soon enough.
This is what I've heard as well. It doesn't necessarily change the numbers, just where they stay and eat. Fingers crossed that it's true!!

Sorry, I'm so slow to respond. Like Previous posters have said, HS closes early on the 17th. I'm just afraid that the crowd at MVMCP will be pretty heavy. I hope I'm wrong though.

The party hasn't sold out yet, but it probably will be crowded.

Don't forget that there's over 30,000 onsite rooms and at least twice that offsite. Free dining packs the rooms, true, but not necessarily more from offsite guests. This is why we avoid EMH in the mornings. It's like telling over 30,000 rooms of 2-5 people each where they ALL should go. It's rarely worth it.
