Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

Has anyone else found it IMPOSSIBLE to get a Garden Grill ressie in Epcot? I'm hoping they mass release it too lol!
I managed to get one but it wasn't at my 180+10. I just happened to luck out and get a cancellation. Good luck! Keep checking!!

Can I ask a dining planning question?

This is our first disney trip. I have a 6yr old, a 4yr old and a 23mo old plus my husband and me.
I got us a CRT reservation but it's NOT ideal. It is 1.5 hrs before the wishes show at 10p... On paper it seems great but my gut says it's not going to work out.

Is 1.5 hrs enough time to for my young kids to eat at CRT, enjoy characters and get to the FP area (assuming I get a FP) for the wishes show?
I kind of feel like it's NOT a good idea to plan such a late night, plus it's going to be packed at MK that day plus I figure the in & out time at CRT is longer than I have allotted. What do you think?

I think it'd be too close. Especially since it's your first time and you probably want to view Wishes from the front of the castle. If you're okay with seeing wishes from Fantasyland, I'd say your plans are fine. You should be leaving CRT right at Wishes time.

Also, can I ask another silly newbie question? I feel like here on the chit-chat thread it is okay to ask?

How exactly does "coordinating" work?
Do you just PM someone about wanting their reservation and then you both set a time to cancel and then the other person just tries booking the cancellation at that time? How do you best go about that with the disney booking site always being down and whatnot? Is there a certain time that is less busy (2am?!).

I took my nieces to CRT a couple years ago for breakfast - between waiting in line to take a picture with Cinderella, meeting all the princesses at your table, and eating, I think it will probably be too close!

Thank you! About how long would you say a relaxed CRT dining time is, 2hrs, 2.5hrs?

I'm curious about this too!

I'd say 1.5-2 hours would be plenty relaxed. We did breakfast in less than hour, but we had an 8:00am reservation so we were the first ones seated.

Will you be able to see Wishes any other night?

I hope to do wishes during the week when it is earlier and possibly less crowded but couldn't get CRT that day :/ I feel like I should almost plan everything else around that uber late CRT reservation since I probably have zero chance of snagging another one, LOL. I'm amazed at how crazy all this ADR stuff is!

If BOG breakfast is renewed for November, people might start dropping CRT reservations. Be on the look out for whenever BOG breakfast opens up and see if you can snag a residual CRT breakfast. That way you can get prime Wishes viewing as well as the CRT meal. Plus breakfast is cheaper. :thumbsup2

I'm bummed I missed out on the BOG extravaganza the other day. I had even been on here and checked multiple times that day, but not at the right moment.

We are looking for lunch or dinner and hopeful something will open up. We've never been and were bummed that we couldn't find any options at 6 am at 180!

Hi there! You should remove your exact dates from your post - it could be interpreted as a "want" post, which is forbidden!

But definitely keep trying - I bet more things will open up as we get closer :)

That's exactly how it works! I've been successful a number of times. I usually choose an 'off' time to coordinate, not right on the hour or in the morning when people are actively searching.

I've successfully released a couple reservations to others in the morning at 9 ish and also picked one up from someone else :)

Just wanted to be sure =) Its tough stalking one thread, two threads for an ADR would kill my work day. LOL

Understand! I think everyone appreciates going to just 1 thread for actual cancellations and specific openings...and then over here just to chat!!

Hi fls! Sorry you weren't able to snag an elusive BOG yet! I am confident us planners will all be able to get something close to what we want as we have a few more months. I think we may see some more availability as breakfast at BOG is extended and people's plan change a lot between now and November.

Can you edit your post to remove your specific dates. As wmjeffer mentioned, we can't post wants/trades/transfers on the cancellation thread or here. We don't want the moderators to think we are circumventing rules and shut us down!

Thanks and good luck!
