It's a gift from my mom. I've done a lot lately to help my family and she loved the magazine I bought in March. So I will let her borrow them too hehe

I decided to check out "Living with the land". There was no line there. Or the line was very short. I got on right away.

It was nice. Dunno if I'd ride it again though. Maybe if I had extra time.

After that I got in line for Soarin'. That is when I got a call from mom saying she wasn't feeling that well and to take my time. She would not be joining me.

The line for Soarin' was 30 min long. But I don't remember waiting that long. I was seated in the first row. Awesome as always.

After that, I decided to go around the World. It was a bit passed 11am.

Even though the "Flowers and Garden" festival wasn't open yet, they had topiaries out. They were so neat!

My first stop was Norway. I wanted to have a Baileys coffee. But I thought it was a bit too expensive. So I decided to skip it.

Then I went to the China pavillion. I checked out the quick service restaurant. Some items seems tempting, but I didn't know if I wanted to eat there. I decided to check out the store, and decide after that.

In the store I got 2 wash clothes that had panda faces on them. So cute!

I decided against eating in China. I wanted to see what the Japan restaurant had to offer.

Thanks for the good wishes... we leave in the morning. I'm so excited. Love your pictures of Flower & Garden. Its always my favorite time.

I do like my new ticker. I love riding the water taxi from Saratoga to Key West or to DTD.

I'm planning to ask for D23 for Mother's Day! :cool1: Do you have Mother's Day in Canada and the UK? in 2007 we were in Disney in April and my sweet sister took my little Heidi who was 4 at the time to the shop at the Pop Century when I wasn't looking (I swear they did this under my nose) and bought me the plush Mother's Day Minnie. I keep her on my dresser next to pin trading Mickey. They're the same size. I'd post a pic, but I've already packed my camera. Gotta run..... bed time. I'll post from Disney. If I can figure out how to do my own trip report and post the link, I will. I'll check in with facebook too.

Yep, mother's day in May. Same as you.

Hope you are having a great trip!

Our Mother's Day is in March :goodvibes .. I've never understood why we have a different one in the UK and USA! Whereas Father's Day seems to be the same.. middle of June?

My parents are normally in Florida during May .. so my Mum gets two Mother's Days!! :cutie:

Emma princess: xx

That's so great that you got to see the topiaries for the Flower and Garden Festival. Great pictures! How was wandering WS on your own? If I ever had to spend a day alone in WDW, that's exactly where I'd want to go.

Lucky mom!

It was fun. Though I think that I like it better with someone hehe

Sorry to hear mom wasn't feeling well, BUT some nice solo time. Even the way you are describing your tour seems relaxed, but like you said in another post to me...we were on vacation!!!!:thumbsup2

I was looking at our schedule for July. And I have 2 questions for you guys. Yep, not sleeping at 2am lol Got a cold. And maybe a sinusitis. I get one every year. But now my throat is acting up.

1) Does tea at the Grand Floridian get booked up? Or can I wait for us to be in Fl in July to book it?

2) How long in advance to book Wishes dessert party?

Thanks. She was mostly very tired from the flights coming in. She didn't mind staying at the hotel. She was happy just being in Florida and WDW, you know.

I totally understand your mom! I usually feel the same way :thumbsup2

I am of the thinking that you book stuff and cancel when you figure you aren't going. Better than getting there and REALLY wanting to do something only to find it booked.

You're right. I should call and book both at the same time. Plus I need to call to request a building that is not too secluded.

I agree with Jordan.

Book you ressies and cancel if you have to. The Wishes dessert party has turned out to be very popular and I think has been sold out (or close to) each night. :)

Hope you start feeling better.

Does anyone know where to call to book the tea and the wishes dessert party?

Thanks. I keep sleeping from time to time, and then hopefully it'll go away.

After that, it was Japan time. My fave place in World Showcase.

Near the pavillion, I took the small staircase on the left. That is where I discovered Teppan Edo. I had never been there. I ordered chicken teriyaki and iced green tea. It was a levely meal. I could not believe how small the dining room was. But it was so nice. It was lovely to be in such an intimate environment at Disney.

Then it was time to browse the store.

I bought Hello Kitty paper, and post-its. And hesitated to get one of these.

IMG_2937.jpg

But I didn't.

I walked around the World Showcase. Just enjoying the environment. Not going in anywhere.

I went to browse the store in France, but didn'T buy anything. I almost went to the bakery to get something to eat, but there were soooooooooo many people. The line was long. I decided to keep walking.

Then it was UK time. I bought a few chocolate bars. True they were expensive at 2.50 a pop. But they were really good. I bought a Galaxy ripple, and a Twirl for me. Yummy! And my mom's fave: Flakes. We used to have a Cadbury store near here, but it's closed now. I miss it.

My last stop in Epcot was Mousegears. I don't know why, but I love that store. I bought a Donald that is dressed as a viking for dad, 2 postcards, and a hat.

I saw these t-shirts and really wanted to buy my dad one, but I didn't know which size would fit it.

I went back to the hotel, and napped.

For dinner we had a chicken ceasar salad, and a cheeseburger. I don't remember who ate what though.

I wandered and took pics of the hotel. And saw that little guy.

IMG_2952.jpg

When I got back to the room, we watched Desperate Housewives. I read a bit. And it was bedtime.

March 1

68F. Warm and sunny

I woke up early, and decided to go to DHS by myself. My mom doesn't really like that park.

Amazingly, I made it to ropde drop. It wasn't my intention, but I did.

I went to see what the fuss what about regarding "Starring Rolls". I was the first person in hehe

I looked around and all these people came stumbling in and were so stressed. I let some people go in front of me. And I set my sight on the gorgeous white chocolate cupcake.

As I got to the cash register, the lady was like: there you are. You are the first one in, and all these people go in front of you. I was wondering where you were.

Hehe She was nice.

IMG_2969.jpg

That was awesome!! I didn't eat it all though. To keep all the white chocolate on top, there was all this frosting. I didn't eat all the frosting. I sat outside. And just was there in the sun. Eating my cupcake, and drinking my coffee. I felt amazing! It was so calm, and relaxing.
