Childs Pass for a 10 year old?

How strict are they at the gate if a 10 year old tries to enter on a childs pass? If it is a problem, will they allow me to upgrade to an adult pass at the park?

If you already have partially used child's pass they will not charge extra for it to be upgraded to an adult pass. However, I believe if the pass has never been used you will need to pay for the upgrade. Regarding how strict they are, I guess it all depends how old your child looks. My son just turned 10 and is on the small side but I'll be buying an adult pass for him in April...I know he would not be happy knowing he was going in on a pass for a nine year old!

We are going next week and have 2 days left on a 5 day PHP. Our twin DDs were 9 when we got them in March, but now they are 10 (and 3 months).

We are going to use up our 2 days next week and would like to just 'use' the passes without having to exchange them (if WDW is going to just upgrade them without charge anyway). I would hate to use up park time at the customer service desk if we don't really need to.

So is it really important to 'upgrade' the passes, or could we just use them?

You can just use them. In your case, no one will question their ages.

Last January 03 I handed out the tickets to the family and had a child ticket in my hand and used a different line to enter the park and nothing was ever said. They hardly ever look. The CM are trying to just get you in.

Since you asked.... go ahead and get the right ticket before you enter the park and then you won't have to worry.

If used, upgrade, no problem. If not used, use your own concious.
