Childfree Disney fans?

I guess I must be a NINK...No income, No Kids....Thank goodness I can still squeeze 18 days visiting the mouse out of somewhere....Gotta find SOME pleasure in this blasted economy! Bless this board and the people who contribute their money-saving tips and hilarious tnip reports!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Child free and getting married on V-day. Plan on taking many many trips alone before we start a family.

Wow! I just found this website today and never expected to see a childfree thread! DH and I are in our mid 40s and childfree. We are Floridians and have never really taken advantage of our proximity to the theme parks (we are 2 hours away), but this year we're determined to go to Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival. We just came back from Sea World (celebrating our 7the wedding anniversary) yesterday.

We have a wonderful pet sitter who takes care of our muttly dog and Big Yellow Cat while we travel.

Welcome to the Adult/Solo Board, floridagirrl2 The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is a lot of fun (and food). Have a great trip

I'm 32 and love everything Disney! No husband, no kids and no pets, but I do have about 20 second graders at school every day-- so that's enough!

My sister and I are both single and child free. She is also a 2nd grade teacher,( like MissDisneyTeach) and presently I am a college student.
We both enjoy Disney. We just came back from a week long trip there and loved it. We had not been there since 1988, so there had been a lot of changes. One thing we both noticed was that this time we seemed to be more interested in what to eat than in what to ride. lol
Although I do not have any children I do have 3 dogs and a cat. I should say 2 dogs since one of them is my mothers.
I just wanted to contribute to the thread.
Thanks.

NKNP = No Kids and Never Planning on it. I love kids and so does my DBF but neither of us have ever had any desire for our own. We do have a wonderful dog though, we are sad about leaving behind when we WDW. It will be his first trip to a kennel :(

The only time I went to WDW with a kid was when my niece was 5. It was not the best trip I ever had because there was alot I wanted to see and do that I couldn't. Now she's almost 11 and I want to take her again. I think it will be better this time 'round.

Going in 192 days with DBF for the first time and his first visit since he was 11.

:)

2 Kids here, as in me and DBF!! We are forever children. We probably won't have any kids (other than furkids) We have 2 cats and a dog! It is so funny to see others DH's who ask why people take kids to WDW!!! DBF and I go every year and we BOTH LOVE DISNEY! Our house is pathetic, you would think a 10 year old boy & girl live there! It's good to see how many adults enjoy WDW!

Have kids but took 2 trips BK (before kids) and had a BLAST both times. Did Typhoon Lagoon, Discovery Island (before it closed), dined, Pleasure Island ... a lot of thngs I miss now that I have kids.

None here. But I would like to borrow one someday to take with us on a trip to WDW.

Wow! this board's for me! We love kids, but are childfree by choice (although our cats think they really are our kids). We've done Disney both with (nieces & nephews) and without kids. It's a totally different experience without - not necessarily better, but in no way worse! You definitely see things in a new light when you bring kids with, but there are so many things that are easier to do with no kids. I'm new to message boards - does this board do the green ribbon thing as an identifier too? It would be great to connect with other childfree's when we're in WDW.

Child free here(not by choice, but things happen).
I must admit though that afer all these years(i'm 36) i don't think it could be any other way. I don't have to work and my husband spoils me rotton. :)

I think those of us who are childfree by choice or childless by chance often have a lot in common! (One of the things we have in common is how spoiled we are ;-)).

I think a CF meet is a great idea!! Our next trip is the end of December (see counter below), and we're also going in May. Anybody want to try it?!

The green ribbon, or Green Mickey Paint chip from Home Depot are all used to signify DIS. As far as I know there is not another color for those of us without kids. There is a thread on either the community board, or maybe the trip board about DIS get together's. You can post when you are going.
I just moved to Florida, and am looking forward to when the nieces and nephews come for a visit so I see it through their eyes. Altho I still like doing Solo.
Welcome to Dis.
Lynn

DH and I are BLISSFULLY child free and are happily spending our 2nd wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World in December!

Don't forget us, that have children who are grown and gone.

Not to get picky, and I definitely want to keep this great thread going with its intended tone, but technically you are not childfree. The term very specifically refers to those who do not want children and have chosen not to have them. If you read further up in the thread, I posted a pretty specific definition... and the difference between the terms childless and childfree.

Now please don't take this as a bash at others posting to this thread! It's been a fantastic (and long) one thus far. I think the spirit remains intact, but the original purpose was to find other childfree (by definition) folks on the DIS. It is often difficult to meet others in real life or to know for sure someone's status unless you outright ask.

My husband and I have been married for over 4 years. We just got back from a Disney vacation and signed up with the Vacation club. We plan to be at the opening of Satatoga Springs next year(for our 5th anniv.).

Disney Honeymoon: 1999 - Carribean Beach
Disney vacation 2002 - Port O'rleans Riverside
Disney vacation 2003 - Port O'rleans Riverside

It is great with no kids!!!!

Oh, but we do have 1 dog (Shiba Inu) and 1 rabbit.
