Childfree Disney fans?

no kids, no husband, but I do have one raging Disney buddy with whom I plan all my disney trips!!! Thank god for her!

We're also DINKs, and enjoy annual WDW trips, though we occasionaly take others with us. We're getting set now for our first double-DINK trip, with another DINK couple.

I am child free and DH is kid free. DH has two daughters, 31 & 29. There are six grandsons between the two of them. I prefer my two dogs and two cats. They still need a sitter when we are gone for more than 6 hours. I'll admit my furry children and I are all spoiled.

Child free except for my 39 year old husband and two dogs.......

We don't have any children at all. I am obsessed with WDW, and my DH is only so-so for Disney. We have had 4 trips together to WDW. He is sick of it. ( boo-hoo )
And DH really hates to travel.

So now I have had 4 trips solo, for one week each time.

This works out well. I don't mind going alone at all, actually I now prefer going alone. He gets to stay home, and we don't have to worry about who will be watching our two precious cats.

P.S. This July I will turn 50 , and I am not too old for Disney.

Claudia,
I am 58 and a Disney Vacation Club owner. I also love Disney World and my DH is also sick to death of Disney. We have made so many trips I have lost count. Our last trip was last week when DH and I hosted his sister for a week at Old Key West. We paid for EVERYTHING and all she did was complain. I was ready to shoot her and him. NAG, complain, NAG, complain. NAG etc etc.
To my way of thinking going by myself sounds like a terrific idea.

We are child free also( I'm 39 and DW 36).... however, I think if you asked my DW, she'd tell ya that her hands are full dealing me (Baby Sugums .. as she calls me).

We do have two cool cats (Greta & Jedi).

Hi

DH and I are kid-free (other than the double-digit number of neices and nephews) and travel to Disney often!

No bicycle motors here either. :)

Wife and I had our honeymoon at WDW and have been back for a land/sea package and working on our 2nd cruise.

I'm 27 and my GF is 29. We will be kid-free forever (and ever and ever and ever). We made our first trip last year, in May/June 2003, and we're going back this June also!

Thirty-five and happy to be kid free! I do have a 10 month old puppy though that I adore.

wow, there's so many of you that are childfree!

dbf and i are in our mid-20s and childless for now.
if/when we ever get married (we've sure been together long enough...) that might change... but i just don't know if/when we'll ever be ready for kids! we've had many discussions about being childfree, and they always progress towards the whole obligation thing.
i mean, dbf doesn't even like kids!

if we don't ever have kids, we'll sure have a lot of explaining to do as we get older and continue to travel to WDW on vacation! :p

btw, that BON link is an interesting article. gives me some things to think about.

We are 29 (that's me) and 25 (that's DH). We have no bambinos (yet) although we've been trying for a long time. I was the one who got DH into Disney. He had never been before marrying me. Can you imagine? Now he loves it and talks about our trips just as much as I do. Glad to see there are other Disney lovers out there without kids.

We were there in December (6 adults) and it seemed to all of us that too many of the people with kids acted like they have "more rights to the place" than someone w/out kids. We were standing in line (my sister and myself) to get our picture taken with Buzz Lightyear and this woman and her kids blatantly butted right in front of us. There was no denying what she had done. Just because we do not have children does not mean, if we stand in line with everyone else, we don't have the same privelage to meet and greet the characters as someone with kids!

Sorry for venting on the thread just wanted to be counted in the ranks.

Wow - to think I started this thread about a year ago...and it remains active. :D

ForTheLoveofDisney, sadly, I have heard your complaint shared by others. WDW is for *everyone*, which means even grown-ups should get their turn with the characters, fair and square!

DH and I are at Disney right now (well, actually in our hotel room at Comfort Suites--the parks are all closed at 9:30 PM during low season!). Today we rode the TriceraTop Spin at the Animal Kingdom twice in a row--the guy operating the ride got a kick out of us two late-forties-ish kids on the kiddie ride and waved to us while we rode :-).

We are having a complete blast, as usual--tomorrow we will be back at Epcot to see the Living Seas (how come we never got around to seeing it before??) and to listen to Alberta Bound (bluegrass group) at Canada, among other things.

Today Orlando had a record high temperature of 85! It was absolutely gorgeous and breezy. Suposed to get cold and rainy tomorrow.

Kid free here as well. I think of myself as a big kid, especially since I am such a big Pooh fan....spent over 2 hours in the Crystal Palace 2 years ago for dinner. I didn't want to leave!! We do have a 2 1/2 year old dog, though, that we consider to be our daughter! DH is 31, I am 32. Been to WDW many, many times both with my parents and with DH. Honeymooned in WDW and are planning a trip there in September to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

Wow... I'm really shocked at all the childfree disney fans out there. What a great topic!! I love it... I'm 34 and DH is 35 and we've been married 9 1/2 yrs and don't want kids. We enjoy our life traveling and especially can be big kids in Disney. We both love the disney park. Been there several times since we've been married.

Childfree FOREVER!! Yippee :Pinkbounc I'm 39 and my SO is 45. Just got back from my first trip to WDW and I got to be the kid I've always wanted to be..... It was a great X-Mas present from my SO. My spoiled rotten dog and 4 cats weren't too happy they didn't get to go though. How will I explain the next trip???

"Creatures Like Me!" Ohhh I'm so happy to hear about other kid-free Disney fans! I am young, 22 but have decided not to have children, never been to keen on it. Just need to find the guy who is agrees with me, and likes Disney. I went to WDW lots and lots when I was growing up but it is so much better now that I'm an adult. And I've always said that Fantasy Land at 1 (naptime) is the best birth control.
