Child Swap questions

I have a few questions about the child swap for rides. Can one parent go on and basically try it out to see if it is okay for the child to ride and then decide if the child can ride with the waiting parent? My other question about this is in regards to the Haunted Mansion. We do not plan on taking our 3yo on this ride but would like to take advantage of the child swap. However, I do not even want to take him through the introduction part of it. Is it possible to get to the ride itself without going in to room first?

T do no think they will let you get on with your child at the child swap, and I do not believe you can go on Haunted Manision without the pre-reide, if there is I'd like to know because that is the part trhat scared the Bejesus out of my son.

You can definitely have the first parent come off the ride and say "no way is my child going on this thing".

At Haunted Mansion, I don't think there's anyway to opt out of the opening sequence. But I advise getting two FastPasses and then have each of the adults separately ride it.

I don't see why they wouldn't let one parent on to check out the ride and then swap the child. They probably wouldn't allow the first parent to ride a second time, but I don't see why they wouldn't let the second parent on with the child.

If anyone knows a way to skip the HM pre ride, I'd love to know it also. That is what freaks out my children and we haven't gotten past it yet.

Lisa :)
