i don't see a problem with them...
only if theyre used correctly, tho.
that being said, what the woman in the vid was doing was unacceptable.
I feel terrible to say that I laughed freaking hard at that. Wow, that was funny. Anyway, I'm neutral on it. Some kids probably do need one or they'd run off or get into something they shouldn't. Dragging your kid like that is pretty ridiculous and shouldn't happen. But, just having a leash or backpack or whatever on them is fine by me.
I hope I'm reading this wrong, but were you laughing at the mom's anger or the kid being dragged by the neck? I can kinda see the hilarity as far as the mom acting in "desperate times call for desperate measures". (Okay, that probably wasn't a well versed sentence but I have no idea how to put that thought into words, sorry)
But the child being dragged by the neck is absolutely disgusting. You do NOT drag your child (especially by the neck) when they won't co-operate, you pick them up and take them outside.
I was laughing how the mom went about dragging her kid. She was walking like no one even noticed her and she was doing nothing wrong.. It was funny.
Jenny, the problem is you and I are a little bit more mature than a few and see things outside the box.
Kids don't need the kind of discipline some are saying. Children have their own personalities too, and quite frankly would you like having to sit in a stroller for hours upon hours? No.
If you think getting aggressive and scaring your child from running away again will help, and qualifies as disipline - think again.
thats just mean and the kids dont need to be treated that way why not just put them in a basket or something
yes cause argueing with people over the internet is so mature![]()
Uhm, I hope she gets more than fined. She was dragging her kid around the neck for goodness sakes!

Actually, they're two of the more mature people on the TB. Especially for being, like what, 15?
Calling them out is quite mature of you...
Yeah but can CPS take the child away for that one isolated incident (that we know of)? I don't think they can but I really don't know.

What a hypocritical statement, as you've argued with plenty of other
posters here as well.![]()
I just dont appreciate people talking down to other people thats all
This is true, but like i said above, i dont appreciate people talking down to others

Well they can, but I don't think in this situation they will. Like Shelby said, they like to give the parents a chance.Yeah but can CPS take the child away for that one isolated incident (that we know of)? I don't think they can but I really don't know.

16. Thank you.
Exactly.I wasn't talking down to others. I was talking to another poster, who happens to be my friend. We both see things from a different standpoint (an adults) and we understand the purpose for a child leash better. I wasn't talking down to anyone, just stating something that most people would consider true, but not everyone.
Let me first off, and say that there is nothing scarier than having a little kid run off, and having some sort of creeper kidnapping them.
Parents around here, use them all the time. It keeps the kid safe. As long as they're used appropriately, I see nothing wrong with them.
They sure do! And an 'Amber Alert' is issued. Its happened around here more times than once. When the real thing happens nobody will take it seriously. Not even the creeper kidnapper, now it's the good Samaritans! You can't help a child anymore, not because of this stupid PC thing now. If a parent finds their child while you were trying to help the lost child, they'll call the cops on you and press charges. It's disgusting.
