Child friendly restaurants in World Showcase?

We've got two small boys (under 4) and want to eat in World Showcase. We considered Via Napoli, but we're eating at Tony's Town Square earlier in week and don't want two Italian meals. Any suggestions (other than Coral Reef or character meals)? How is Nine Dragons these days? Okay for small children?

Biergarten is great if you like German food because they invite the children to the main floor when the band is playing.

How about San Angel Inn in Mexico. The atmosphere is really cool in there. I have also heard that the hibachi in Japan is really neat.

Any restaurant except for Bistro de Paris (upstairs, France) is child friendly. I'd pick whichever menu appeals to you the most. We like Biergarten the best but it is a buffet so you might not want to hassle with a buffet since your children are so young.

We have dined at all of them except Nine Dragons. I think they are all okay, my least favorite is San Angel.

that most of the restaurants are kid friendly. Biergarten has been mentoned and is one of my favorites. Restaurant Marakesh has belly dancer that invites kids to learn. Teppan Edo has hibachi style. It is good just more expensive and slightly less entertaining than the one we go to locally. San Angel has the interesting setting in tbe Mexican pavilion.

I think you have gotten sound advice so far but let me say this - as the female part of a couple whose only son has left the nest so we don't have a tolerance for kids on a daily basis, as long as your kids don't run around the restaurant and reek havoc on the staff, it's fine. It's Disney World! I want to see kids there having a good time. I want to see them and their parents enjoying a good meal.

Don't worry about it.

With the exception of Bistro de Paris, every single restaurant in Epcot caters to families with small children and is packed with kids, all day long. No worries.

We ate at Marrakesh and San Angel Inn and did desserts in France -- DD loved it all! She danced with the belly dancer in Morocco, watched the boats in Mexico, and loved eating 'fancy chocolate' in France. A few years ago I took my cousins (age 3 and 9) to Biergarten and they both loved the music and were more adventurous with the food than I expected... it's a fun atmosphere.

The best thing, IMO to make the dining experience good despite the age is to not push the time. We planned on eating earlier than DH and I would've done on our own to make sure DD wasn't past her breaking point. We found going right at 1130 when most places opened was good -- we usually were moving into World Showcase about that time anyway. For dinner, around 430 seemed good -- before the dinner rush and a good break if the day was REALLY hot.

Again, just my $.02, but we found DD was so caught up in the atmosphere she did better than we expected!

Biergarten! My kids LOOOOOVE the oompah band, they can get up and dance and run around and it's actually encouraged!

We have eaten at Teppan Edo and the Biergarten. My boys liked them both very much. I think overall the Biergarten would be your best choice because it is loud, lively and fun! There are also many food choices that younger kids would like at the Biergarten. Have fun!

Oh dear, I would ditch Tony's for Via Napoli to be honest. Tony's has the worst food i've ever had in my whole life. Disgusting. I complained and actually got my money back. Lol. I think something is seriously wrong with their marinara/tomato sauce. its awful.

I also agree with the others about biergarten & teppan edo. Its a lot of fun for kids.

Just to balance off the last post...we LOVE Tony's. It is one of our favorite meals. Our kids love the that they are able to eat in "Lady and the Tramp's" restaurant. Also, if you can get a table on the patio, overlooking Main Street, you might be able to watch a parade if timing is right. In our opinion the food is great! As far as the World Showcase goes, you have been given great information. Have a great vacation!!
