Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning all

Susan, how about a nice purple?
Tricia, good luck to Kelsie on her drivers test. :wizard:

What is the age in your state?
Ours is 17 but Valerie isn't taking drivers ed till Sept and will have to wait till January or so. She couldn't take it in thespring because of lacrosse and can't do the summer because we're going away.

It's sixteen here. You have to have a Driver's Ed class in order to get your permit (which you can take at fifteen). You have to have your permit for six months berfore you can get your license. Kelsie is 16 1/2 and we will make her drive for six months on her own before she is allowed to drive with any friends. Wish us luck because we are leaving now.

Morning!

How did Kelsie do? The age is 16 here in CA too. I actually failed my first test. I wasn't very confident in my driving so it was probably a good thing.

My new cast is a nice sky blue, although I've been compared to a smurf already. I have three more weeks to go! I can't wait.

New driver in the house! :moped:

Susan I think a nice shade of blue is just perfect for summer. Now you have to coordinate your outfits to match. :rotfl:

I've been up since 4 AM. That's right, 4 AM. One of our smoke detectors starting chirping because the battery was going dead. I tried to lay there after Mark took the battery out but no, my body was having no part of it. So after a pot of coffee here I sit. :hyper:

CONGRADULATIONS KELSIE!!

4 A.M??? :faint: take a nap before the kids wake up. ;)

Susan I like sky blue I bet it looks so purty! :yay:

Good morning! (Although it's almost afternoon here.)

So is having a new driver exciting or terrifying?

I woke up and though it was Friday. It's so disappointing when that happens. Our local symphony is playing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Sunday and we organized most of the tickets. We have 6 or 7 chartered buses going down full of supporters and the symphony members. We are so busy getting that coordinated. I have to fill about 300 goody bags this afternoon.

It's a scary thing but I haven't let her take my SUV by herself yet. She has to work from 5 to 9 tonight so I'm thinking I might let her drive herself. It's hard letting go. :worried:

Susan that's a lot of goody bags to fill one handed. Are you doing that by yourself? Good luck.

Good morning all

I hope everyone has a great weekend. :yay:
It's suppose in the 90's here. Too much of a shock for me, I'll take the 60's
anyday. :rotfl:

Morning. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

I'm really glad it's Friday.

Little thread? Seems like it got huge if they had to retire it.

Hey everyone - it's been almost a year now since we moved to Texas and I feel like I'm coming up for air.

Or maybe that's just because it summer. ;)

And yes, I do come back once in awhile. LOL - now that I've unpacked I'm going to be totally better about that. Except tomorrow, as it's Kaileys 7th birthday party. :cool1:

Welcome back FAB! We've missed you. I can't believe that Kailey is already seven. :faint: A big Happy Birthday to her.

Well, I survived Kelsie's first outting by herself. We get to do round two today as she works again today. I hope I won't be as nervous today but I think I'm just telling myself that. :confused3

Hey Fab! Welcome back!

I have to go to work pretty soon and help load buses for this big symphony thing. I was supposed to be escorting but they don't want me moving around a bus with my arm. Now I get to help people check in and wave goodbye.

Susan - how can you wave goodbye with that arm? :confused3

;)

Tricia - how was Kelsie's work today?

The birthday party went great today, but boy do they wipe me out. Madeleine's is in August and I'm trying to do pretty much nothing.

Do you think I'll get away with that? :rolleyes1

Muffycat... muffycat... I know you missed me.

Hey arkmom - no, I don't think I mentioned that I was moving.. well maybe I did - I sort of went through hell and back right around there, as our house flooded.

And in the end it's okay. But I wanted to duct tape my husband for awhile.

Good morning all

Hi Fab! It so nice to see you! :cool1: Of course I missed you!!

Happy Belated Birthday to Kailey!
She's getting so big! I remember the picture you use to have in your siggie after Madeleine was born. :goodvibes

Good afternoon chicks.

Not too much going on around here today. Went to church this morning, I made meat sauce and spaghetti for lunch and just now made a yummy batch of Rice Krispy Treats. Just hanging out and the the kids think that's boring. :confused3

Boring is good sometimes!

I spent the afternoon strolling around Wal-Mart trying to think of what I need for the trip. I loaded up on drink mixes (the stuff you mix in your water bottle), advil, a few extra t-shirts--they had some pretty cute ones, ziplocks, snacks, more snacks. This trip is going to be very different since we're driving (cause we're taking my parents and grandmother and my mom refuses to fly :headache: ). I've decided to mail down a package of stuff a week before to save room in the van. I've seen where a lot of DISers do that. Yeah. This trip is going to be different! :crowded: :drive: :hyper2: :car:

Arkmom - I think that would make me a little crazy if I had to drive. I mean, you don't even have to wait until you get into the parks to start bickering. Excellent!

Tricia - hanging out is good. Makes us work to entertain ourselves.

Joanne - I need to add a photo to my signature. Some people I know got fairly paranoid about posting anything on public boards maybe I'll post someone else's kid. ;)

I bought a new photo printer b/c mine isn't working very well. What I didn't take into account is that Kodak photo paper is fairly worthless and my old photo printer works just fine. What do you think the chance of me admitting this to my husband? :lmao:

Looking for goggles now.... sheesh never a break
