Chicks and Roosters...part 2

I've never been a fan of the Cadbury Cream Egg. I remember that being my sister's favorite when we were little. Maybe it reminds me of a hard boiled egg which I don't like by the way. :confused3

Kelsie's prom is this Saturday. She's got an appointment to get her hair done, I will tackle the makeup then it's off to take prom pictures before they go out to eat. I'm glad the weather should be nice because she informed me that after the official pictures with the photographer she wants me to go to the lakefront with her friends and take pictures there. I'll try to post a few over the weekend.

Good morning!

Prom??? Wow. It seems to early for prom. I hope Kelsie has a wonderful time. I'm sure you'll get wonderful pictures.

It's foggy here this morning but it should clear up. We should have a nice weekend and rain come Monday. My friends are coming into town and we are going to take their little girl to the Santa Barbara Zoo on Sunday. I think it's my favorite zoo ever.

Afternoon all

Tricia, I hope Kelsie enjoys her prom. :yay: Do they go out afterwards or something?

Susan, have fun at the zoo with your friends.

Good Morning.

Well today's the day~ Prom!

Exciting and busy day ahead of us. We are hosting a breakfast around midnight for her friends so I need to run out and buy everythng this morning when I pick up the boutonniere for her date. Yesterday she got her nails done and at 1:00 she has an appointment to get her hair fixed. She's still on the fence on how she wants it but she knows she wants it up. They are going before the prom to take pictures then to the lakefront and all the parents or at least the moms are meeting there to take fun pictures. Next it's out to dinner at Bonefish Grille then to Prom. Thank goodness the weather should be wonderful today.

I hope your daughter has a wonderful prom! Sounds like you have everything planned out well. My DD will have her first formal at the end of May, but it's only 8th grade so nothing too elaborate.

I hope she has a wonderful prom!! :goodvibes

good morning everyone!

Kelsie had a great time at Prom. She said they danced all night. They went to a resturant called Bonefish Grill before and came back to our house after for a late night breakfast. Mark and I cooked for the eight of them and it was so nice to see them all so excited. The hardest part of all was having me stay up till midnight. :rotfl: We had a nice little spred of bacon and eggs, sausage, biscuits, grits (yep, we're from the south), cinnamon rolls, donuts, fresh fruit, coffee and juices.

Here is a picture of Kelsie and her date and another of the group they went with.

Susan how was your weekend at the zoo?

Tricia, Kelsie look beatiful! :goodvibes I love her dress!
Did she do the make-up herself , it looks so good.

The whole group looks fantastic! I'm glad they had a wonderful time! :cool1:

Good morning all :hippie:

Tricis, have you rebounded from the busy, late eveing weekend? :)

Susan, I hope you had fun at zoo.

Good morning! Is it Monday already? Really? I'm so tired. . .

Tricia, Kelsie is so beautiful! What a gorgeous dress too. You are a good mom to cook her and her friends breakfast. I think that would have been so much fun.

The zoo was wonderful. The weather was perfect, it was warm but not hot and we had a great time until we had to get Alyssa to leave. She was having fun in the play area and we were starving. She's a stubborn little thing.

Morning Ladies.

It's Easter shopping day today. I've got all the candy bought already now I'm looking to buy some fun stuff to go with it. I have a Starbucks giftcard for Kelsie and that's about it. :confused3 I hope I can get everything else but the sad thing is I don't have a clue what I'm looking for. :confused3

Good morning!

Eventually I should go get my parents a little Easter something. Probably before Sunday huh? I'll have to go at lunch some day this week.

What about an iTunes certificate or something like that? Jewelry, nail polish, other girly stuff? I'm sure you'll come up with something. Have fun shopping!

Good morning!

It's raining today and I'm not quite prepared for rain. No surprise there.

Tricia, did you get your Easter goodies? Are your kids home this week?

How are things going with you Joanne? Any big Easter/Spring Break plans?

I finally watched Twilight today. Kelsie rented it yesterday and I wasn't home when she watched it. I popped it in as soon as the kiddies were off to school. I didn't read the book but did enjoy the movie.

My kids are off this Friday and all next week. The only thing we have planned so far is a trip to the dentist on Tuesday. Fun times.

Oh, I love Twilight! I read the books and saw the movie in the theater. I also made my friends watch it last weekend. After watching, I had to explain the whole story after the movie to them. I suppose I ruined it for them if they ever decide to read the books!

My dad is currently suffering from kidney stones, poor guy. He's pretty miserable so Easter celebrations are kind of up in the air. If he doesn't pass the stone by then, we might not do much.

Susan so sorry your dad is going through that. They say it's very painful. I've never had it before but no several people who have.

I made my kids Easter Baskets today. :confused3 I pulled everything out to see if I had enough stuff so I just decided to make them right then and there. Good news is that I did have enough stuff. I hid them in Mark's closet so hopefully they won't see them.

Good morning!

Tricia, kids are sneaky, they'll find them! I was such a snooper when I was young.

It's finally Friday! Tomorrow morning I'm going to a library book sale in the hopes of getting some really cheap books. I have to take Daisy to school tomorrow afternoon. I suppose the rest of it will be Easter prep.

Afternoon all

I'm off today and running errands, off to drive Danielle to mall shortly.

Susan, I hope your dad passes the stones soon.

be back later

Good afternoon all and Happy Good Friday!

Two of my three are dying eggs right now. I know I've mentioned it before but here goes again. We dye raw eggs. No one likes the hard boiled variety in this house so we dye them raw and put them back into the carton. Now when you want scrambled eggs you get to pick a pretty color. Kelsie is at work and I'm making goodies for tomorrow and Sunday. I'm just waiting for the oven to beep. It it smelling good so any minute now it will go off.

Susan how's your dad feeling today?

Joanne how far is the mall from where you live?

My kids are off today and all next week for Spring Break.

Happy Easter Saturday. We'll be heading to the inlaws for a crawfish boil. Mark has such a large family (eight brothers and sisters) that today and Christmas Eve are the only two days that everyone gets together. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of times when most of us are together but never all. Something always comes up and one or two families can't make it to whatever function there is.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend.
