Chicks and Roosters...part 2

I'm back!

Ok, I didn't go anywhere but I'm still back.

My friends left this morning and I am currently cuddled under a blanket with the heater on and a cup of coffee. Even though it's almost two in the afternoon. I'm exhausted! We had a great time and it was kind of nice to play tourist in my own area. On Saturday we did get to the wineries and did a couple of tours. I didn't do any tasting, I spent time with Madeline (almost 4) outside while her parents did the tasting. We did the Elephant Seal thing on Sunday but it was so cold and windy that it wasn't as exciting as I would have liked. There also weren't that many on the beach that day. Monday Tom took a hummer ride on the sand dunes while Allison and I shopped with the kids. We tried to hit the beach and were slightly successful but it was still very windy and while the kids had fun we were a little uncomfortable. Yesterday we had another few hours at the beach and it was much better. Adam (17 months) ate quite a bit of sand (yummy!) and had a great time. It was so nice to have them here but I have to say I was ready to have my house back. The kids were sooooo good, but still the quiet is kind of nice.

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! I've got to get back to work tomorrow so I'll be back on schedule.

Good Morning.

Susan it sounds like you and your friends had a wonderful time. I would so love to do a winery tour. Even though I don't like wine.

I'm thinking maybe I just haven't tried the expensive stuff yet.

Good Morning!

Gosh it's hard to be back at work after 3 days off. :guilty:

Tricia, I'm not a huge fan of wine either but there are a few that I really like. In fact sometimes I like it too much. :rolleyes1

TGIF! :cool1:

Susan this must really feel like a short week for you.

I need to go out and hunt for a costume for Kendall today. Her school is having a Renaissance Festival and the kids are expected to dress the part. I'll head over to Party City this morning and hope they have something. If not I may need some help.

Good morning all
Susan, sounds like you had a great time with your friends. :thumbsup2

Tricia, good luck on getting a costume now for a teen size?

Good morning! It's Friday! I shouldn't be so happy after only working two days but I am.

Good luck on finding a costume Tricia. I can't help much. Do you sew? A simple long dress with long flowing sleeves would be pretty easy to make. With a little embellishment it could be very pretty.

She'll be 12 this month but she only wears a girls size 7. I had no luck at Party City but I did find one online. :thumbsup2

I can sew a mean button or a girl scout patch but that's where my talents stop in that department. When she gets home from school I'll show her what I found online then order something today to be sure we have it for the Festival.

Just wanted to say  to Trisha :lmao: :rotfl2: Have a great weekend....Miss you

ETA: Do you feel like you are being stalked now :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl2:

Hi Kristi. You don't have to stalk, just jump right in and post. The girls over here are so nice.................oh, and they don't bite. :lmao:

Your daughter must be petite. My 4 year old neice wears a size 7!

She is very tiny. A long, long time ago I was that way too.

Hey girls and to our lost boys! I am so glad it's FRIDAY!! :worship:

What's up for your weekend?

Mine's pretty tied up. We had a girl at work leave so we're having her a BIG goodbye party tomorrow night. That's gonna be a blast. Then Sunday we have a b-day party to go to. Hope the next couple of weeks go by fast.

Sounds like you won't have much of a weekend! I hope you enjoy it though. I can't believe your trip is coming up so fast! I remember when you were still over a year out.

Good Morning Chicks!

I can't believe it will be here either. I hope vacation doesn't go by that fast though. Ethan wakes up every morning wanting to go see the power rangers and get on a plane.

:yay:

Happy Monday................I think. :upsidedow

I ordered the costume on Friday so hopefully it will be here within a week or two. Kendall has three weeks until the festival so I think that should work out fine.

I hope all you ladies had a good and fun weekend. I don't think I got on the computer once over the past few days. Time to make up for lost time.

Good morning all

Had a busy and fun weekend too. Unfortunetly Monday came.
