I'm back!
Ok, I didn't go anywhere but I'm still back.
My friends left this morning and I am currently cuddled under a blanket with the heater on and a cup of coffee. Even though it's almost two in the afternoon. I'm exhausted! We had a great time and it was kind of nice to play tourist in my own area. On Saturday we did get to the wineries and did a couple of tours. I didn't do any tasting, I spent time with Madeline (almost 4) outside while her parents did the tasting. We did the Elephant Seal thing on Sunday but it was so cold and windy that it wasn't as exciting as I would have liked. There also weren't that many on the beach that day. Monday Tom took a hummer ride on the sand dunes while Allison and I shopped with the kids. We tried to hit the beach and were slightly successful but it was still very windy and while the kids had fun we were a little uncomfortable. Yesterday we had another few hours at the beach and it was much better. Adam (17 months) ate quite a bit of sand (yummy!) and had a great time. It was so nice to have them here but I have to say I was ready to have my house back. The kids were sooooo good, but still the quiet is kind of nice.
Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! I've got to get back to work tomorrow so I'll be back on schedule.
