i have been doing the late sept, early to mid october trips for the past years.
i love that time period down there.

i get F & W, mnsshp, good weather, and hhn .
all my fun rolled into one trip!

Waiting to see if any discounts show up for late October. Being unemployed last year for 9 months put a damper on the funds. Having done Halloween 3x now, I wouldn't mind seeing all the Christmas decor so I am flexible.

I'm from Park Ridge--a small town that many drive through and little people know little about. But here are some tidbits of information: Hillary Rodham Clinton and Harrison Ford grew up here.

And finally, for a "visual" reference...PR is stuck between Rosemont/O'Hare and the NW Chicago/Edison Park area.

DH & I are near Lafayette, Indiana (Boiler Up). We love getting up to the Chicago area when we can. We'll be at the Illinois Marathon in Champaign this Saturday @ mile 9 water stop.

I ran the half marathon - were you with the group that were dressed as 60's "flower children"?

Also from Bolingbrook, IL - and an annual Disney pass holder for 3 years (renewing this year again) and Universal annual pass holder for 2 years. We go Disney 4-5 times a year - most of the time driving down.
Grew up in Berwyn and lived in the Chicago burbs just about all my life (except for 6 months in Colorado)
Missed the April snow while we were on our triangle trip (TX and FL) to visit the grandkids and Disney. Got back in May and are leaving again for Disney and FL in June.

Darien, IL for me! We usually get down to WDW at least once a year.... missed the big blizzard in February and flew down to Disney the day before! Now Im trying to plan a visit for mid November, will be my 1st Xmas trip in at least 20 years!! I hope it happens!!! Im going through serious Disney withdrawals looking at all the disboard posts.....
