to the OP...sorry, i didnt have my date book handy ...YES May 30th is a Tuesday. However, you may be ok taking the Dan Ryan at that time of day...traffic heading into the city and exiting before hitting the Kennedy may not be all that bad.

No, DO NOT take the Dan Ryan heading North ANYTIME of the day. Dh works 3rd shift downtown, and at 10:30pm the Dan Ryan is still awful. He says coming home (going South) isn't bad. Just make sure it's not during rush hour.

Anyway, if you do take 294 and get off at Cicero, it won't be too bad that time of the day. Just don't take 294 to 95th street. Because of the toll booth at 95th street, 294 seems always backed up from Cicero to the 95th street exit.

I live near the Cicero exit (Palos area), and I would estimate that it will take you around 1/2 hour or less to get to Midway from the Cicero exit. But then, you still have to park, walk through the airport, etc. Just give yourself plenty of time. If it was me driving to Midway from my house, I would leave about 2 hours before my flight (just to give myself plenty of time in case there was unexpected traffic or road construction, and getting through the airport).
