Praying for everyone in Florida (like my parents!) and in the path of Irma. I'm sure the guys on the team with family in the way are slightly preoccupied with real-life right now.

The last two games were given up by the bullpen~ CJ on Tues and last night Hudson for the Pirate's. See? It happen's to other teams! I don't know how any of them could focus with Irma wreaking havoc. STL won as they are now in 2nd , 4 games back and Brewers currently 4.5 (their next game is against us tomorrow, and STL goes to Pittsburgh and doesn't see Cole ) Brewers putting all thier focus on us with their pitching may have cost them in the sweep by the Red's. Cubs just have to keep taking care of business the best they can and Git'er done this weekend. Brewer's Nelson is due for a bad game, right? They acquired Walker from the Mets and he has been doing some major damage with the bat, but we will be ready. Willy plays his rehab game today..4 inning's catching and then to PH Fri. Finger's crossed all goes smoothly. (at least smoother than his Twitter game~ saw he posted a pic of him with his obv very loyal GF yesterday on damage control.) Willy...learn from Addie!!!! Willy needs to play..get rid of all that pent up, ummmm, energy, lol

was just coming to post no BP for the guys today. Schwarb's, Rizzo (and I think KB) were sending the ball into the Alegheny Monday at BP and then fell flat suring the game, so I'm good with this.

Also (and not that I am a fan of injuries) IF for any reason the Red's series come's into play..Billy Hamilton's broken thumb/DL could be a big break (no pun intended). Hoping like heck that we have both Willy and Addie for the 2nd sets of STL/Brewers series this month. I would also appreciate TB being as lousy as they were when they played the Brewers, for us. STL picking up Nicasio was a pretty slick move tho~Pirate's not real happy about that one. Move let's the dirty bird's rest their pen a bit even tho he isn't eligible for the play-off if they get in.

Here is tonight's lineup~ and before anyone starts saying where's AAJ , and move Zobie from the 4...Jay has better number's against Nelson so far , as does Zobie, making Nelson have to think about it. AAJ will be in thre PDQ if needed.
On the flip side, Braun, Santana, Thames and Walker hit Lackey really well. Going to need DEFENSE & the DP tonight. Raining there right now tho...bet the Brewer's are extra thrilled about that

Just want to mention that CC of the Brewers lined it up for his top pitcher's to go this series....which may not leave them in the best shape to face the Pirate's. Cincy didn't go so well for them due to his looking ahead to us.

Addie was jogging today, said no pain, good sign. Time against him tho. Even if he healed, would have to hit fall ball to try and see some form of pitching. Willy clocked a line drive single at 110 mph, heading back to Chicago for further evaluation this weekend.

Well, the night game didn't bring it, and usually a day game after a night one is a crap shoot~ Monty on the bump tomorrow. Let's not have a repeat from 7/6. Still up 4 on both STL (who won) and the Brewers
