Hersey I haven" t seen HP yet and will wait until the crowds die down before I go..

MAC :grouphug:

Question of the day -

Isn't it time for a Chicago Meet? Maybe in August..

Michelle- I just noticed your due date. I'm quick like that, duh. 1) I hope that everything is going nice and easy so-far. 2) My wife's due date is the 18th. I thought that was pretty neat.

Everything this weekend around my house is turned upsidedown because of the :car: Nascar race. The track is only a mile from my house. traffic has been a nightmare at times.

good saturday morning chicagoland homies !!

becky, sorry to hear dd doesn't want to return to the camp next year.
but like sandy said, she might change her mind. a year is a long time for a child.

sandy, still crossing the fingers and eyes that you get the deal with the hospital.

bigben, congrats on becoming a daddy this fall. don't know if this is your first but either way you look at it, all new babies are exciting to have.
think we shoulld do a baby lottery and guess delievery date and gender?
that would be kewl..........

hey hersey:wave2:
hey geffric:wave2:
hey to anyone i missed.
hoping you all have a great weekend.

going to church tomorrow, i'll have your backs for the week...:)

HI everyone!
Just a quick fly by to let you know I am thinking about all of you. Summer brings very busy days with lots of time away from the computer. It's hard to keep up with the posts so I hope all is going well or getting better for everyone.
I am up for a meet IN the city but we are gone a lot on the weekends so during the week is better for me. If I plan something would you guys be OK with doing it during the day, during the week? I realize a lot of you work so that might not pan out will it. Let me look at the calendar and see if I can check out my weekend situation!
Again, I hope everyone is doing well!

Today is American Girl Doll Store day!!!!

We are taking Stephanie downtown to the AG Store for her birthday (her b-day is not until next Sunday though) to have lunch and to pick out a new doll with some clothes - she is so excited!!!! :yay: We are leaving Katie with my MIL so Stephanie can have us all to herself today:goodvibes If time permits, we are also going to take her on a carriage ride, and take her to Ghiradellis for some ice cream. We also have the FD picnic today that we didn't want to totally miss - so it's going to be a very jammed packed day :teeth:

HERSEY - I've actually never seen any HP movies (Stephanie doesn't like them - she says they are to scary). I would like to see them though - maybe when she's older (and doesn't scare so easily)

geffric - I need to clean too!! ::yes:: I'll do it at the end of the week right before Stephanie's family b-day party.

bigben - congrats on you and your wife expecting your new bundle of joy :goodvibes Do you know if you are having a boy or a girl? Keep us posted on how your wife is doing, and especially when the baby is born :)

DMM - I meant to ask you the same question - do you know if you are having a boy or a girl?

Mac - Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me:) I should hear sometime next week on if I get the job or not.
**How's the boys this today? I"m still sending lots of PD their way:wizard:

Debbie - Unfortunatly I can't do anything during the day Monday through Saturday (I"m always at the store until 5 or 7 at night).

Well, I gotta go get ready for my day :)
Later gaters!!!

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

For some reason I thought it might be a good day to have a migrane. :confused3 I think it seems to be winding down so maybe I can do some of what I had set out to do today. :laundy: and maybe lie around on the couch again.;)

Yesterday was such a wonderful day!!!!
Stephanie was in doll heaven!! :cloud9:

A mini trip report -

Our lunch reservation was at 12:30pm and when we got there, we got a table right away. Stephanie took her Samantha, and the doll naturally sat right next to Stephanie :) and the doll got her own dish and mug. Our lunch started out with cinnamon rolls that were delicious :goodvibes After that a nice plate of fruit came - Stephanie really enjoyed that Our main entree for me was the grilled chicken sandwich, for Kevin was the grilled chicken salad, and for STephanie was the picnic lunch :thumbsup2 Then came our dessert - my favorite part of the meal. The waitress put a candle in Stephanie's piece of cake, and we all sang happy birthday to her - she was grinning from ear to ear :teeth:

When lunch was over we headed for the Beauty Salon to help Samantha get her look back. The wait was very minimal and Samatha was in the beauty chair withing 15 minutes. I learned that we aren't suppossed to comb her hair w/o wetting it first (I comb it all the time w/o wetting it first - hence the frizzy hair  ). Samantha got a hair trim, her original style, and a facial :thumbsup2

Now we are off to find doll outfits - we told Stephanie she could get 3, but she ended up getting more. Not because she was begging for things, but because the big kid in me couldn't resist getting certain things:rolleyes: There's one dress that I LOVE, and I bought it for both Stephanie and her doll. We also told Stephanie she could get a new backpack for school - so she got one of those too ::yes::

After the outfits were picked out, and out basket was literally heeping with items, it was off to pay and get Stephanie's pick of a new doll - Nikki :goodvibes We got her Nikki's started kit, because we thought it was the best buy. When Kevin was paying and one of the employees was getting her doll, I asked the cashier if they could take it out of the box for Steph. She said no problem, and Stephanie was :goodvibes :yay: :woohoo: with anticipation. When the girl took her out of the box and handed her to STephanie, it was love at first sight  She was beaming with happiness!!!!

When the paying was done, and we had 2 large bags filled with things, I asked Stephanie if she would rather have a carriage ride, or go to the AG Photo Studio to have a picture taken with her and Nikki. She choose the Photo Studio, and I'm glad she did - she took a beautiful picture (something she'll treasure forever!!) I can hardly wait to show you this picture the next time I see you guys.

After we picked up our pictures, it was time to go.
Sad to leave because it was such a good time:guilty:
But happy because we spent way to much money
I told Stephanie she could have 1 outfit now for her new doll, but everything else is going to get wrapped up and given to her on Sunday (her actual birthday).

So that was our AG day - she wants to do it again next year :faint:
I need to start saving my money now :rotfl:

slo, have fun with dd at ag !

off to church.
i have your backs

Thanks Mac!!!! :goodvibes
I skipped church this weekend because Saturday a friend came over when I normally go, and then yesterday we left when I normally go. I could have gone earlier in the morning, but I felt God would understand that me and the girls need one day to not rush out of the house.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

For some reason I thought it might be a good day to have a migrane. :confused3 I think it seems to be winding down so maybe I can do some of what I had set out to do today. :laundy: and maybe lie around on the couch again.;)

I hate those!!!!
I hope your headache went away, and doesn't come back today:wizard:

Well, I gotta run and water my flowers :flower:
Have a good day today everyone!!

Morning..

SLO sounds like a wonderful birthday and AG trip. Please post pictures of Stephanie and Nikki. Did you take any pictures at lunch?

Hersey How are you feeling today?

We went to a wedding Saturday at the Oak Brook bath and tennis club. The ceremony was outside and very nice. It was set near a small lake and was just beautiful with the tress and the lake. When we walked in to the section that the ceremony was to be held, everyone got a little box. The box had a butterfly and at one point in the ceremony we all released our butterflys. It was amazing to see. The reception was inside the club house and was very nice. To start we had fruit on a skewer with a drizzle of a while creamy sauce. YUMMY!! Then came the salad and the entree was a chicken stuff with creamed spinach and a filet plus carrots and zucchini for veggies and a little pototo things. It was way too much food but very delicious. I gave my filet to Eric. He ate both filets and some of his checken. Geoff ate his dinner and some of Eric's chicken. Scott ate my pototos and I ate Eric's veggies.. The DJ was great and we danced and talked with Scott's family and had a wonderful time.

Yesterday, I did some errands. Went to Coldwater Creek for their 70% off sale but it didn't open til noon and so i went to Home Depot and got some LGMH for our trip.

Hi Geffric :wave2:
Did you go to the Coldwater Creek in Deer Park Town mall? I was at Biaggi's restaurant yest. from 11:15 am til 2:30 pm for a family(DH's family) wedding shower! That is so funny we may have been at the same mall yest! :rotfl2:
I have never been to Deer Park mall til yest. Well, I did take a trial drive there Friday afternoon so I can find the restaurant without any problems for Sunday. It takes me a half hour to get there. Not too far from Quentin and Dundee Rd(I know someone from my church that lives off of Dundee Rd by Quentin Rd.). My BIL and SIL live in Lake Zurich. SIL threw the wedding shower for her DD yest. at Biaggi's.

Glad you and your family had a great time at the wedding on Saturday in Oakbrook. :thumbsup2

Slo- sounded like Stephanie and you had a really nice time at AG place!

Hey DisneyMommyMichelle:wave: - Congrats on your pregnancy!
How are you feeling?

Good Morning everyone!!! And happy Monday!!! :hippie:

This past weekend was very busy for us. So busy I forgot to watch the race yesterday!!! Shucks!!! Well, at least my favorite driver won!!! Tony Stewart!
We always make sure to watch the Chicago race because the speed way is just a few miles down the road from our house. Makes us feel like we are there without spending $1,000 on tickets!!! :rotfl:

Saturday we had a party for Hunter's birthday. He turns 5 on Wednesday!!!!
I cannot believe it..... My baby is going to be 5!!! I swear it feels like I just had him!!.....literally!!!..... Maybe that's why my back has been hurting me the past 2 days!!! :rotfl:

I went ahead and bid (and won!!) on a 7am ticket for the American Girl Benefit sale for this weekend. This guarantees I'll be one of the first group to enter the sale!!! :yay: Then all of us will be back to enter the sale for the 11:45am tickets I have as well.
Lauren has a list of all the stuff she wants! :rotfl: I'm glad I got an early ticket to at least be able to get one or two of the historical dolls she wants.

Hersey I sure do hope your headache went away yesterday!! Maybe too much fun and sun for you on Saturday. :confused3
Did you get your plants in the ground??

slo I told Lauren all about your trip report to AG Place!!! She was so excited for Stephanie!!!! :yay: It sounds like you guys had a wonderful time there!!! Did you all enjoy the cafe??
Good luck on getting business with the hospital!!!! I hope it will bring more business for you as well!!!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes
I'm looking forward to seeing Lauren's picture finally framed!!! ::yes::

geffric Sounds like a wonderful wedding you went too!!!! My DD would have just loved the butterfly release!!!!!

Becky Sorry your DD didn't enjoy GS camp that much this year.
My DD is always interested in going but then kind of whips out right before registration is due. I think she is always apprehensive about meeting new friends and them all getting along.

MAC Thanks for the tv listings!!
I hope your 'at home' homies are all starting to feel better!! :goodvibes

Ben Congrats to you and your wife!!!! Please let us know when she has the baby!!!
Did you go to the races this weekend?

Debbie Glad you checked in!! :thumbsup2
A week day meet would be very hard for me too. Sorry!

Gotta run!! Lots to do today!
:wave2:

Holey Swiss Cheese!!!!!

I just looked at my ticker, which I haven't done in ages, and saw it's 65 days till we go to WDW!!! :cool1:

Also forgot to say:

Leigh Glad you checked in too!!! :) Congrats on going to DL!! I hope you have a great trip!! Make sure you come back with great memories to share with me!!! I'm hoping we just went at a bad time (Spring break) and that's the reason behind us having a bad trip!!!

Tiggerrn Glad you're still heading to DL!!!! :cool1: You're going to having a lot of fun!!!......bum foot and all!! ;) :rotfl:

Bunchin- We find out thursday wheither it's a boy or a girl. We went out to Qualifing on friday. My DS Cameron (7) wants to go next year. Going on friday just doesn't cut it anymore, he wants the race. I was bummed out that I didn't get to see Smoke win this year, But I'll see him win next year.

Ben Make sure you tell us all if it's a boy or girl!!! :goodvibes
We were supposed to go to the track on Friday too, but had a full schedule and couldn't make it! GRRR!!
We've promised the kids to take them next year-not sure if that will be qualifying day or race day. We'll see what happens! :)

Hey there all!!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Well, I was very disappointed with the housekeepers I had. After they left, I was checking out their job, and they dusted around stuff, but didn't move anything. The lady mopped in the bathroom but didn't sweep first so DD hair was just pushed off into corners, whatever cleaner they used didn't get the rust stains (from our lovely well water) off the tub. :sad2: I realize noone ever cleans the way you do yourself, but I was hoping for a little better. Thank goodness I didn't reschedule anything with them for a repeat. I guess I will have to muddle through and try to do what I can and just not worry about the rest until later.

This is going to be a busy week. DD has :dance3: tonight. Tomorrow we have to meet with my SIL in the afternoon. She is staying here while we are gone and she always wants the lowdown on what to do with the critters and how to work the TV. No matter how many times she is here, she never figures that out. I am hoping to change the kids pre-op testing to tomorrow morning. It is scheduled for Thurs. Too late in the week and DD has an AG mystery at the library that day as well as math tutoring.
We are going to friends house on Wed. in Frankfurt. Hope it doesn't rain. They have a nice inground pool. Her kids miss mine as much as mine miss hers. They moved last year. A bunch of us are getting together there that day. Margaritas and Dacquiris poolside.:beach: (watch it rain).
Friday kids are off to camp for the day so I can pack in peace. :thumbsup2

Only 5 days to CA. I sure hope this isn't a mistake.:rolleyes1

Slo, sounds like Steph had a great day!!! Kellie would love a bag stuffed full of AG items.:woohoo: Glad you enjoyed your lunch. Any word yet on the bid for the hospital framing?

Bunchkin, I hope you strike it rich at the AG sale!!! Did Hunter get some good loot for his birthday?

Hersey, hope you are feeling better and getting that :laundy: done. Hate headaches!!

Mac, how are you and the boys?

bigben, make sure you are taking care of your wife. Lots of fluids. Congrats and be sure to let us know all about the big event. You and DMM are in a race. We should place bets!!

Well, better hobble on with dinner. Market day marinated salmon, rice and carrots/broccolli for dinner tonight!!
