Good late evening all!
Not sure if we can make the meet now. DS came home after school today not feeling well. He wants to go so bad. I thought about just going with DD but that would make him really feel bad, so we'll see how things are in the morning.
Supposed to be nice weather for the weekend. Hope so. We sure could use it.

geffric - That awful weather was south of us (thank God!!) We had some heavy rain, and a little thunder and lightening, but that was it.

Debbie - I have to declutter Stephanie's room all the time too I always manage to come out of there with 1 to 2 bags of garbage:thumbsup

Bunchkin - It's good you told the principal about that teacher. I know how much you don't care for her. Stephanie and I are looking forward to see you guys today. Keep your cell phone on incase I need to call you because I'm lost (it doesn't take much for me to get lost )

Leigh - That's great that you are coming today It'll be good to see you!!

paint - Enjoy your tennis lesson today

Rose - I love DQ too because I love Blizzards My favorite Blizzard is chocolate chip cookie dough w/ chocolate ice cream and extra cookie dough - YUMMY!!!!!!

Mac - I'm so sorry to hear about your DH not feeling well I'll send tons of get well PD his way to feel better soon!!!!

Remember I told you guys how the other night I had a meeting and this one person was just taking over the whole meeting and making it about her!!
And then I got in her face!!
Well, last night at an event I went to, one of the other people there at the meeting came up to me and THANKED me for doing what I did. That she was so frustrated but couldn't find the words to speak, and that I did it for her!!
I'm glad I could represent the people!!!



Tiggerrn I hope your son feels better soon!! Hopefully we'll see you later.

That bad weather the other day was right over our house!! We had severe thunder and lightening here!!!! And hail too!!

Hi, Chicago! hope you all have a great time at the meet today...and I hope someone can take pix to share...

We are getting ready to head to Chicago on the train to spend the day with Mark's brother & his wife. I am hoping the weather is as nice as it's advertised to be, as I would like to try to go to Navy Pier, as they have never been there. Or, if it gets yucky out, maybe Water Tower and the Mag Mile.

Morning all.
DS is still sick this AM. So no bowling for us unfortunately. If I could convince DD to keep it to herself, we could sneak away, but she is an insufferable tell-all!!!
We'll see. MAYBE we will sneak off. I need to go to Orland with her anyway to get dance stuff for Peter Pan, so we would be close.
Going to go jump in the shower while she is at soccer. DS is eating breakfast, but not his usual self. Temp 100.2 so just figure he doesn't need to go get anyone else ill. I hate when people do that.
If I don't make it, have a great time!!!!

I want to thank Bunchkin for arranging a great meet this morning. We all really had a good time with our bowling meet. It was great to meet Sk8leigh, Crissup and CarolAnnC. The rest of y'all I met before. Nice to see TiggerRn, Slo, and Hersey again. I'll just give a big shout out to the KIDS in the group!

For those of you who have never been to this bowling alley, it was really nice, clean, comfortable, non-smoking throughout the whole facility (which is pretty different for a bowling alley). The arcade was BIG fun! Megan loved that especially. Although the bumper cars were over her head!

Great to see everyone again! Can't wait til next time?? Shall we say Ratatouille in Slo's neck of the woods again??

Good evening all.
DD and I made it to the bowling meet, unbeknownst to DS. It was great to meet a few new people (the Crissups and Hersey) and great to see the ones I already knew once again (Leigh, Bunchkin, and SamIAm and Slo). We had fun. DD loved those bumper cars. Thanks Nicole for organizing this meet. That is a really cool bowling alley!!!
Stopped in Orland on the way home and found 1/2 of the ballet stuff DD needs. Now need to find the tights with the seam up the back. Must not be too popular for the kiddies.
DS is feeling better this evening and running about once again. I think it is just the Motrin DH gave him. We'll see if he has a fever in the morning or not.
Home to do . DH was so great and got a good jump on the for me. What a wonderful guy!!
Well, better run. Have a nice evening all!!

Hey SamIAm guess we were posting around the same time. Does Ratatoille come out before Pirates? I know Pirates will probably need to be adults only. I've read it is a little darker than the other two. Well better run.

didn't do anything today.
mr mac slept and then this afternoon he started watching the draft on tv. he is slowly recovering so we didn't do anything.

i did errands for about an hour.
just playing around on the computer to pass time. finally caught up on all my emails and newsletters. some of them were a month old.

Maybe whoever plans the next few dismeets, maybe the meets can be more centralized? Maybe Yorktown Mall in Lombard or western suburbs, so it won't be so far of a drive for us northerners here... just a real small suggestion
I cannot plan a meet, sorry, but just a suggestion, so everyone or most everyone can show up. I really enjoyed last yrs Cars dismeet at Yorktown Mall
Looking forward if we ever have a Great America dismeet in the summer

Got alot done today. DH went to buy a new bedframe and boxspring mattress for DS this morning, as DS is kinda growing out of his old bed. Matthew had a race car bed for about 5 yrs and he was outgrowing it.
DH put together a new bed for Matt. Took awhile to take apart his race car bed.
Tomorrow is Matthew's swimming class and then run a couple errands in the afternoon.


Mac- my DH gets into the NFL draft also

I would 2nd the Pirates meet over Ratatouille only because Kelly won a free movie party (for her & 9 friends) and we're hoping to do Ratatouille in July. Not that we can't see it again but, the chances are, my luck, the Meet and her party would be the same day.

As for Pirates being adult only, I brought Kelly to Pirates 2 and, the length of the movie was the only drawback. Other than that, she was fine with it. Fun time!!!

As for location, it isn't AS important but, if it's farther away, the time of day would be more important to us. KWIM??

Please, no flaming me either. Just my 2 cents, as I hate missing DIS Meets!!!

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was fun, always nice to see old friends and meet new ones.

John and Carol Great to put a face or faces with the posts Your daughter too So nice to see you both.

Tiggerrn2 Nice to meet you and your daughter also too bad your son was under the weather.

Ok here is my 2 cents I think we were the farthest northwest peeps it took only 35 minutes of highway driving 45 minutes going through Napeville traffic on the way home. Ginos is about a good 45 minutes from me on a good day.
