morning chicagoland homies.

not much happening here. rejoined curves........oh how i hate to exercise.
i was doing so well until i went to the motherland last september and had free dining. have been eating "well" every since.

dieting again but will still do the blue resturant.

geffric, i bought tickets for art garfunkel show at the gennessee for friday a few months ago. he is not the performer i would want to see but mr mac likes him. i guess this is how we have stayed married so long. i give in...
and, by us going there on friday, it helps pave the way for my motherland/darkside trip. i'll briefly mention that in the note i leave for him..:rotfl:

saturday, we will go out to eat. and hit the blue resturant for the turtle sundae

kimraye, hope things are better for your loved ones at home.

slo, glad you are glad you don't have to do jury duty.

tot all the other homies:

Slo, for getting out of jury duty. We are all such wonderful citizens.:rotfl:
It doesn't sound like many are going to the bowling meet.:confused3 I was really hoping to meet up with a few new people, too.
Well, I am pooped out after a long day of sitting at Maggiano's and listening to speaker after speaker!!!:faint: The food was great, though. It'll probably still be sitting in my stomach tomorrow morning.:sad2:
Then we went over to Oakbrook Mall to browse around. Found a pink pair of Disney Crocs for DD. She was so excited tonight to get them. (just a little something special from mom.:ssst: )Then wandered in to the Disney Store. They had a couple of racks 50% off clearance. Got DS a pair of spring pjs for $8. I know, not exactly a fair trade, but have to save a $ whereever. I should have saved all items and wrapped for their family birthday party in a couple weeks, but I just could not wait for DD to see those.
I would be broke clothing children if I was forced to shop there. Saw a little spring terry cloth jacket for DD priced at $92:scared1: Jeans on the clearance rack for $104!! :scared1:  :crazy2: :faint: What are they thinking!!!!!? Hence the reason TARGET is my #1 store.
Well, better run. Hope you all had a good day.
Good to hear from you, Tracy. Good luck with the move. Hope you can catch up with us again.

Geffric- Bloomington/Normal area...we actually lived there up until a year ago. We are now moving back!
Tiggerrn2- Gotta love Target! I hit the jackpot yesterday. I got dd a bunch of summer clothes for 75% off!
Hersey- We aren't going to the meet. The kids will be with their dad that weekend! I will, however, be enjoying my peace and quiet! Ahh...
So, as much as I enjoy being done with school, I am kind of bored. I know, I am a complainer. Two of my four grades have been posted, though, and they are both "A"s. From complainer to bragger...thanks for putting up with me!:rotfl:

Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day!!! :umbrella:
Actually, it's kinda nice to have the rain - it will make everything so green :)
I'm just glad that I don't have anywhere I need to go today ;)

**Thanks to everyone for being happy about me being dismissed. I'm still so relieved about it!!! :goodvibes

paint - Hi there, we missed you!!! :wave2: Don't worry about catching up, we know you've been busy with school. We are just glad to see you!!! When are you moving?

geffric - I was out by 11:30am :thumbsup2 Which was great, because I had an appointment that I was going to miss, but Kevin was still able to go. So I was able to meet him there, and then we went out to lunch, before he went back to work :)

mac - Even though you don't want to see Art Garfunkel, it will still be a nice evening :goodvibes Where are you going to eat on Saturday? Do you have any reservations for anywhere?
**Happy early anniversary!!! :)

Tigggernnnn - Mmmmmmm..........Maggiano's!!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes I love it there!!!! I can taste their stuffed mushrooms right now!!!!
**Another good place to shop for kids clothes is Sears. I buy alot of my girls clothes there, especially when they are having a sale. JCPenney is also good when they are having their buy 1 get one for a $1 sale :thumbsup2

HERSEY - Stephanie and I will be there Saturday!!! :thumbsup2

Kim - thanks!!! :teeth:

Well, I gotta run and start thinking about getting Steph up for school:teacher:
Have a good day today everyone!!!

good morning chicagoland homies.

rain here also, maybe if slo sang loudly the clouds were go west....

thanks sandy. probably the blue resturant for ice cream......but that won't work as they close at 10pm. we will eat after the show, dont know where yet

hope you all have a great day.
take the umbrella with you!

Good morning everyone!

Tony is following up with his surgeon later this morning.
Not sure if the doctor will release him back to work yet as he is still not fully recovered.
He tried doing some work last night and it was light work, but he was in slight pain afterwards.

Right now I'm trying to get Hunter to take a nap!!
He was up in the middle of the night because of all the rain pounding down on his window. And then he was up at around 6:20 and never went back to sleep.
If I don't get him to sleep he's going to be super crabby later at school!!! :sad2:

slo Glad you beat the system and got out of jury duty!! ;)

Hersey Well, you know I'll be at the meet! :) And the kids too! No DH this time.

paintnolish Glad to see you stop by! Good luck with your move and continued success with school!! :thumbsup2

macraven I hope you and Mr. Mac have a great anniversary!
What's Art without Simon???? :confused3 It's like macaroni without the cheese!!

Tiggerrn I haven't been to Maggiano's in years!! YUM-OOOO!!! :goodvibes
The Disney Store ain't what it used to be!! I loved that store when Lauren was a baby!! Such cute things for the WHOLE family!!!!

Kim You never know when we'll actually get lanes on Sat. Maybe you can come after Brownies end! You could give me a jingle on the cell to see what's up. ;)

Hi Everyone.

I wish it would not rain between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and definitely not between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. That goes for snow too!

Okay, so I'm asking a bit much. But, I got pixie dusted this morning by Bunchkin who was kind enough to loan me an umbrella for my commute in this morning. Without her, I'd be a very soggy mess right now!! Thanks Bunchy! My umbrella was sitting in my desk here at work all nice and dry. It will be put to use this afternoon, if this mess keeps up!

I will return it tomorrow a.m.

I can't wait to see everyone at Bowling on Saturday! Sounds like a good time! I'm sure it will all work out well.

Well, back to work. It's a busy week here this week!!

Macraven - Happy Anniversary! 28 years! Now that's committment!!

Hey all.
Spent the day doing a scrapbooking project for DD teacher for her class. I was creating the covers for their scrapbooks. She will then have the kids pick out pictures from the year to build a scrapbook for their 3rd grade year. So while I was sitting there doing that I decided to combine all my old home movies from WDW and DL onto one DVD. That was fun seeing some of those old movies when the kids were really little at WDW. Then it was all about meeting and greeting the characters. Now, it's the rides!!!!
Mac, have a happy anniversary. Enjoy dinner out with Mr. Mac.
Rose and KimRaye, hope your DD are feeling better in the morning.
Leigh and Jedi, hope you're out there lurking and doing OK.

Well, time to crash. I had planned to type up PTO minutes tonight, but too tired. There's always tomorrow.
Later everyone.
Green lights out.

I got so much cleaning done around here - it was great!!!! :thumbsup2
You would never know it if you came into the house though, because it was cleaning that you don't notice. I vaccuumeed everything upstairs, from the floor, to the mattresses, to the furniture, to the curtains, blinds, and screens, just every nook and cranny. It took all day!!!! I'm glad I don't have to do that again until the fall (well, I'll of course vaccuum the floor and furniture, all the time :) )

For all Chicago DISers, please keep Dan Murphy and Marie in your thoughts and prayers. He just PM'd me telling me that his dog Doc is on his last days, and won't be coming to the Meet on Saturday because of that. His dog has been battling Lymphoma for quite awhile now, and the treatments are no longer working:guilty: This subject touches very close to my heart, because I had to put my beloved dog to sleep because of Lymphoma at the age of 5 years old. So please say a prayer for Doc, that his last days are peaceful ones - thanks!!!!

macraven - I love the blue restaurant for ice cream:goodvibes We used to only have a DQ around here, and now we have DQ, Cold Stone, and Culvers. Out of the three, I would pick Culvers and day:goodvibes

Bunchkin - How did Tony's doctor appt go?
**I'm sorry you had a sleepless night the other night (I know how that goes) I hope you and Hunter slept better last night.

Sam - I hope you didn't get to wet yesterday :umbrella: My SIL used to work downtown, and she hated days like yesterday too
**I'm looking forward to Saturday too - it will be fun!!

Rose - Congrats on getting the project done!!! :)
**I hope you and Chrissy feel better soon!!! :wizard:

Tigggernnnn - That's so nice of you to do that for Kelllies teacher :) Those scrapbooks sound like they'll be great!!!! :goodvibes

Well, I must go get ready for my day - I have many appointments again:rolleyes:

Have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo I'm so sorry to hear about Doc I know Dan and Marie really care about that dog.

Another soggy day I took avantage of the free water and put down grass seed, I hope it takes.

I've been really busy lately doing my spring cleaning and doing paper work at home. That fun fair put me behind in everything. The kids all had fun and the PTO made a good amount of $$ so that's a good thing.

Bunchkin Hope Tony takes it easy so he gets better so he can bring in those $$ again, unless Hunter wants to wear daddies shoes for a while ;)

Alex's dad is helping him with his Castle I can hardly wait to see it.

Sorry to hear about Doc. I know Dan and Marie did everything they could for him. Thanks for letting us know Slo. :goodvibes

Hello!!

Anyone looking for flights this fall should check out Southwest this morning!
Flights through to Nov 2 open up for sale this morning at 10am our time!!

slo Tony's appt went well. The doctor is releasing him back to work on May 7th. He doesn't need to follow up with the doctor, unless something comes up of course.
Thanks for letting us know about Dan! I'm so sorry to hear about their dog. :(

Hersey If anyone is looking forward to Tony to return to work it's ME!!! Hunter already says he wants to help dad out when he's older.

Tiggerrn Where do you find the time for all that volunteering?? :faint:

Good morning everyone.
So sad to hear about Doc. I know exactly how Dan is feeling right now since we just went through it twice in the last year. It's hard to lose those four-legged family members. Sometimes they know you better than you know yourself. I will keep him in my thoughts.:grouphug:
Bunchkin, sometimes I feel like I burn the candles at all ends.:rotfl: That is why my house is always looking like a tornado ripped through it!!:lmao: I figure, it will still be here to clean tomorrow and the kids will be grown too soon. Plus, I like keeping an eye on what goes on in that school. The more those teachers associate my face with my children and what I do at the school, the better for them. I know, brown nose!!
Looking forward to bowling this Saturday. Hopefully, we won't be too late. DH may come along. I think he is getting curious about all of you.:rotfl2:
Sandy, happy meetings today. You can come to my house your next do nothing day and vacuum all of my furniture!! I'll take Katy and go play.
Well, I better get my volunteering self in gear. Helping to set up today for the used book sale. At least that is a quick project. Next week is Grandparents Day and the sale and then we are done with PTO projects for the year. (Unless the VP gets her way and talks some people into Field Day-I said I will not deal with one more thing!):rolleyes1
Later all.

Slo- We are moving at the end of June! I can't wait!
Rose- Thanks for the congrats on my grades! I will be enjoying my little break before attending a REAL college (ISU).
Mac- Happy Anniversay! Enjoy the show!
Tiggerrn2- Enjoy the scrapping. I made an album last year for ds' K teacher. It made her eyes tear up. Now that is the sign of a scrapbook well done!
Hersey and Slo- Please feel free to come by and do any additional spring cleaning here. You are also free to start packing. Thanks!
Almost TGIF! The kiddos will be with their dad this weekend, so I will get to relax and hang out with dbf. He is going to teach me to play tennis. This could be pretty sad. I haven't ever really played. Oh well. At least I will get to enjoy the nice weather!
Time to shower. DS and I have a date before scouts. McDonald's here we come!

Paint I wouldn't want to interfier with the "fun" to be had packing. Maybe you can come to the movie meet which I'm sure we will have hopefully before you go.

maiziezoe Come and chat with us. We don't bite
