Thanks for the congrats for Eric. this weekend he has lots of parties.. and no schoolwork.. Geoff on the other hand has tons to do for his AP euro class..including a take home test and a paper..It really concerns me that he has signed up for 4 AP classes for next year.. I don't know where he will get all this time to do a good job in each..

I am working on the kitchen remodel and I have been looking at solid surface countertops. Lowe's has a big sale on them wher you get a free integrated sink. Does anyone have these and what do you think about them? DH is concerned about the spills of coffee or pasta sauce being permanent stains.

Hi to everyone else for now!!


I need to run to the mall with Hunter before he goes to school. He got the St. Pats Build A Bear last weekend and the elastic in the shorts the bear was wearing broke. So now the bear looks as if he's a rapper. His drawers are hangin' looooww! So we're off in a bit to get a new pair.


And I'm a little stressed today. Things are starting to slow down at the job site DH is working at (not 'our' business/company ) so today he either finds out if he is getting moved to a new job site OR getting laid off!!
This happens every spring. And it's sooo stressful for me. I don't like stress!!! Luckily, 'our' business is booming so we are lucky in that aspect. But it still stresses me out!!! I hate worrying!!

Jedi....welcome home. I always hated travel day. I have STILL been known to cry on the plane when I am on my way home.
Bunchkin...good luck with DH's work situation. I know where you are at. I always feel my DHs work slows down at the worst times like around Christmas or after vacation. My DH is in commercial flooring, fortunately...it has been busy lately.
BTW... he is STILL calling in every day for jury duty. He only missed Monday to go down so far. When he told them his work situation he said they laughed at him. One more week of calling!

The weather girl said "it looks like a great 7 days ahead" . That was nice to hear!

I can't believe your DH still has to call in for jury duty!

Hmmm..I've never heard of that place, Bunchkin....

I bought lots of goodies - for ME! I got myself a Pirates headband (which I'm wearing in some of the pics), a Dumbo plush, a Nightmare Before Christmas hat (CUTE!!), pirate keychain, a "The Beatings will continue until Morale improves" pirate shirt and at Universal I got myself a cool Spiderman shirt. Oh, and I got the Pirates of the Caribbean music for the ride. It has EVERYTHING!!!!

The Jedi training academy did look fun. It was so cute to see these tiny kids, looking so cute, trying to defeat Vader who was like 5 times taller than them

slo - the thing I like about Lent is eating seafood on Fridays!! Though, I've stuck to the no meat thing now - except for one slipup when my mom made me sandwich a couple of weeks ago - she asked me what I wanted on it and I said I didn't care. Hours later I realized I ate ham. But other than that one time, it's only been seafood or vegetarian. No meat. It sure makes it easier to choose something to eat when I go out (unless I go to a seafood restaurant )

So, my Dad (my real dad, not my stepdad), saw my CA pics and called me and asked me where Toby was in all the pics. So I told him (I hadn't told my dad- we haven't spoken in months) He did the dad thing and said something like "Good riddance! You deserve better and you'll FIND better"

We're chatting right now, talking politics and stuff, like we always do (luckily we agree on the same things)

I heard that for the Jedi training, if you wear Star Wars clothing or a costume you will have a better chance at being picked to participate. I told Hunter this and he wants to bring his Darth costume!!

I have heard nothing but good things. I tried to go there a few weeks ago but it was a 2 hour wait. I would call ahead and make reservations if you can.

Well, my good news for today is that I grabbed some airfare at Spirit airlines for $154.80 (round trip)for each of us including taxes and everything!!! My Mom and I couldn’t believe it! We have been calling and surfing the web for awhile now and prices we were quoted were ridiculous!! BUT today this great fare came up and we took it!
So….
I finally have a ticker! We will be flying into Ft. Meyers and staying in Naples but for the first 3 days we are thinking about driving to and staying in WDW for my 40th! I would need a room June 2, 3 and 4th and then we would just drive back to Naples. Anyone know how long the drive is from Ft Meyers to Orlando?? Anyone know if there are any promotions out there for that time? I am already excited! Just the thought of being in a sunny, hot, climate makes me very happy!
