Anyone know how long the drive is from Ft Meyers to Orlando??

It's gonna be about three hours. Ft. Myers is about 75 miles south of Venice, and it takes me just under two hours from Venice to WDW and I'm not what anyone would consider a slow driver.

However, if you like to sit back and enjoy the scenery, avoid the Interstate and run up the center of the state then on over to WDW. I love driving through the orange groves and seeing the *real* Florida.

I usually take SR17 (probably the best route), but you could also cut across SR80 to US27 (there is a short highway to connect the two).

Stephanie came home from school yesterday with awesome news ---- SHE PASSED HER LEVEL 4 TIME TEST!!!!! This was such wonderful news because she has now met the goal for the year (imagine me wiping me brow with a towel). So, to congratulate her, we let her make a new Build-A-Bear at the mall, and she made a cute pink kitty.



Dinner at Joe's Crab Shack was very yummy I had my coconut shrimp and I was happy!!!!



Thanks to all those that continue to keep my DIS friend, Kathy, in your thoughts and prayers.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Today is the Fun Fair for our school district. So the kids and I will be heading there later this morning.
First I have to get some work done around the house. If I put it off till later I'll have no motivation!! I guess I'm a morning cleaner!


Good news: DH got transfered to a new job site. Which is a load off of my mind since I am the worry wort here. He on the other hand, actually wished he got laid off so he can have more time for our business which is really busy right now.

Bunchkin..Glad DH has work. Is he in a Union? Is it a good one? I have a friend who is in the Union for Elevator repair men and WOW do they get treated well! My DH is in the Carpenters Union. The benefits for our fam are pretty good except that I have to take my kids to the court house for free immunizations because they don't cover them! Made that mistake with my first born and probably paid almost 2 grand for her shots! My DH called in again to court and does NOT have to go in on Monday! Dodged another bullet there. With our luck he will get called in the last day of next week and then have to sit in on a trial!

Last night was our school fun fair. The kids had a great time, won little prizes, etc. Didn't win anything from the cake walk, unfortunately, maybe next yr.
This morning, Matthew had his dentist appt. No cavities!! Church tonight.
Tomorrow is Matthew's Blue and Gold Banquet (Cub Scouts).
Just a real busy weekend

Slo- I hope your county in Indiana is not doing the 2hr forward time change jump. I read some county in northwest Indiana is doing the 2 hrs forward time change I would not adjust well to that if I lived in an area that did a 2 hr time change foreward.Yikes!

i got stuck on the edens when the truck, cars had an accident today.
i was right past the touchy exit and had to stick it out for one hour 45 minutes
accident was near the dempster exit.

they will laid down the sand on that accident. fuel tank came off the truck during the accident.

what a waste of the afternoon...........sitting forever in the middle lane

Well, my good news for today is that I grabbed some airfare at Spirit airlines for $154.80 (round trip)for each of us including taxes and everything!!! I finally have a ticker! Debbie

Thanks to everyone for the concern over DH's job.
Construction can be such a fickle thing. One moment you're busier than a 3 legged pig at a bacon factory and then next.........well, you just ever know!


Something I wanted to bring up to ya'll...............
Has anyone have any experience with carpal tunnel?
I have been dealing with a lot of pain in my arm, from my elbow to my wrist and including my hand, the one I use to use the mouse.
I'm not sure if my desk set up is condusive to the correct postion for sitting and doing computer work & surfing the web.
But the longer I'm here at my desk, the worse my arm feels and I start to get all tingely and my hand goes cold.
My desk has a 2 level pull out section for the keyboard. So I moved the mouse to the upper section thinking that my arm was too low and I'm proping up my arm/resting it one of my Bibles I keep on my desk on this upper section and then putting my hand on the mouse. I'm hoping this helps...........maybe the good word of the Lord will comfort my wrist!!

Good Morning! Did everyone remember to change their clocks? I think I remembered to much cause I didn't change my clocks last night like I usually do.

It looks like we are in for another sunny day. Are you ready for that.

Go out and bask in the sun today. I may even do some cleaning today

It was so good to get the girls outside yesterday for some fresh air. They played all afternoon. Then my neighbor came over with her little 3yr old girl, and then all the girls played together. My neighbor also told me that she's expecting again, which is so exciting!!!! It's so nice that the 3 of us on this street all have young children (Stephanie being the oldest).


Does the time change affect any of you? It never affects me, but I know others that it does. I actually changed my clocks pretty early last night so the kids would go to bed earlier (especially Steph, because I always let her stay up till 10 on Friday and Saturday night). So, she thinks she went to bed at 10, but she really went to bed at 9


Thanks to everyone for continuing to pray for my friend Kathy. I haven't heard anything new about her. I"m hoping her DH will update sometime soon.

**My Grandma had a lot of trouble with carpotunnel, and even had her hands operated on a couple times. Her complaints were very similiar to yours. Helping prop up your arms is a good idea Sending lots of PD your way!!
