NO he isn't an Eagle scout YET.. starting on doing his project and then the write up and all it entails.. He prob won't make Eagle until 1 year from now.. but I'll invite you all to come to the ceremony.. ( it is not a present event)

Wow I know only one other Eagle scout. That looks nice on a resume by the way.

It always amazes me how Katie sleeps in during the week, but on the weekends she wakes up early :faint: Luckily, she will lay in bed with us, but she figets so much that I never go back to sleep  I guess I shouldn't complain, because I know I will be sad someday when she doesn't climb in bed with us anymore:guilty:

I watch Memoirs of a Geisha last night, and it was really good :thumbsup2 There are no subtitles, which I was really happy about :thumbsup2

macraven - :wave2:

Donna - How was your veggie pizza? I love them :goodvibes

geffric - A friend of mine through my church (he also lived in my neighborhood) made it to Eagle Scout. I remember how proud his family was of him. That's so exciting that your son will become one soon:cool1: Sending lots of PD to him to do well with whatever it takes to become one:wizard:

HERSEY - I've only watched a couple of Greys Anatomys, but I mostly follow it through the commercials. So....did Meredith live?

Well, I gotta go exercise - I'm not in the mood, but I take Sundays off, so I can look forward to that :teeth:

Have a good day today everyone!!

Good Saturday Morning!

Donna The Addison Marcus theatre is out of the way for me. There is a much closer one in Orland Park. And I'm not sure if we are going yet!;) We might go see Bridge to Tarebithia!
Have fun at the movie!! And I hope you get to see the King & I, what a wonder play that is!! I saw it when I was little and loved it!! :goodvibes

geffric That's great that your son is working his way to becoming an Eagle Scout!! :wizard:

I went to the Disney Store last night and found some great deals there, so I thought I'd share!! :cool1:
They had the cutest Easter bunny Mickey head antenna toppers there! And lots of clothes were 50% already reduced prices.
And for anyone who has little girls, they have THE cutest princess spring dresses!! They were so adorable!! :cutie: There were 3 dresses, one with Cindy, one with Aurora and one with Belle. I couldn't make up my mind so I need to go back with Lauren and she can pick! :cutie:

ALSO..... in the Dollar Spot section of Target is Disney Cars stuff and POTC movie stuff. I grabbed some of this for the Easter baskets!!

I have to get all our Easter basket stuff together early and mail it to my mother in-law's house since we will be by them for Easter! :yay:

Have a great day everyone!!!

good morning chicagoland homies.........

did you hear the weather prediction?
blizzard like conditions could start this afternoon.

i'm close to the wisconsin line so maybe this new forecast will stay north of all of you. had to shovel the drive this morning to get out, it snowed here last night.

i think being an eagle scout is fantastic geffric. i know you said he is still working on it but he will finish and earn it.
i am always impressed when i hear of a young man being or working on the eagle scout. congrats to him and you and the fam on this accomplishment.

if we have sickies, hope you all feel better real soon.
i know, you'll probably be well enough to go to work on monday morning.

catch you later.
hope you all have a great day.
enjoy the movies for those that are going.

QUIT talking about snowstorms will ya'!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I'm hoping if I just ignore the weather reports, it won't happen.

Tomorrow is my nephew's birthday party & I still haven't gotten him anything.

I will have to hit the Target dollar spot for CARS stuff. Nephew likes those & so does my littliest guy.

I have to take DD to open gym for gymnastics today & then she has cheerleading. I would prefer to not be driving in a blizzard.

My poor 3 year old, he was all upset because our cat had to go to the vet today. I'm not sure which he was more upset about that he didn't get to go or that he thought the cat isn't coming back (since the last time a cat went out of the house, it didn't come back. ) He was yelling I want Milkshake & I want Bandit (our deceased cat). I was trying to tell him she was only going for a check-up and will be back. He did get fine in a bit though. I really think he just wanted to go with Daddy & sister.

Hi all-
Thank you all for your condolences and well wishes :goodvibes

I, dh, and the kids will be at the wake tomorrow- at least for part of the time.
Not sure what's going on with the funeral, as my other cousin(my aunt's son) wants the funeral in Berwyn- where they lived and grew up. But they are having issues of getting a hold of the priest of that certain church. I don't know the whole story on that- I'm guessing my cousin has been having difficulties with scheduling the funeral with the church he wanted. I guess we may know more tomorrow at the wake.
I know my dh cannot take off on Monday or anytime this week for the funeral, as he is very, very busy at work and work really needs him, being the end of the month and the situation he's in at work, unfortunately.

Chrissy and I went to her Girl Scout dance party at school last night. All the girl scout/brownie troops at our school hold a big dance party once a yr. We had a good time. Actually, Chrissy wanted her dad to take her and she was not happy I was taking her, as she wants her daddy. Dh would be the only guy there and he would feel pretty uncomfortable with all those moms. Dh took her two yrs ago, and that's what happened ;) So I have been taking her, with her fighting for dear life that she wants her dad to take her

Geffric- Congrats on Geoff or Eric going for Eagle Scouts :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Debbie- enjoyed your pics!

Hi to all

Ok, gotta get of the computer

Hi just got back from errands.. I am amazed that on one of my journeys one day that I'll see some one.from the chciago thread... Like I drive past Rose's house all the time to go to play it again sports and had to run to near Randhurst this am to go to the scout shop etc.. Maybe one day ...

anyway on to do laundry and make dinner... last night I didn't crop but watch the Robin Wiliams movie that Eric got at blockbuster's yesterday. It was funny..

Thanks for the nice thought on Geoff's eagle project ... he thinks he is going to do it on MArch 17th.. but I think it is 2 cold .. but we will see..

be back later.. stay dry and warm..

miss rose, if you can only do the wake then that should be sufficient.
don't worry if the funeral is postponed and done during the week. if dh can't get off work, then he can't get off work.....that's how i see it.

there have been times due to scheduling problems where i have only been able to go to the wake and not the church funeral services. don't worry what anyone would say about that. you loved your aunt and was there for her while she was still with us

just saw that milwaukee has 12 inches of the white stuff and the storm is coming my way. be very glad you live in cook county at this point.
i'm a couple of miles from ws line so we get the best of both worlds when it comes to bad weather..............lol

at least it's not single digit temps now....

I just heard on the weather that downtown ad southern city and 'burbs are gonna get an ice storm not snow...

i hate hearing that geffric.
son came down to visit and then went to chgo to see a concert tonight.

we told him chgo would get snow now he'll be stuck in ice.

i shouldn't be surprised. we get the most snow in late february each year.
i guess i just need something to whine about...........:rolleyes1

Eric said it is snowing here.. looks like it will snow . the sky is grayish.. hope your DS is okay..

Hi Everyone,

No terrible weather here yet (NW Chicago). We ventured out to Old Orchard today (outdoor mall) because there was a huge Gymboree sale! I spent way too much money there but SAVED a ridiculous amount too (plus I had a gift card).
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Of course I had to go to the Disneystore and saw all the stuff you mentioned Bunchkin! It is all really cute but I held myself back and just got a few clearance items. The clearance stuff ended up being next to nothing! I got a couple toys, a DH shirt, and a DD shirt! I also went to Pottery Barn. I LOVE those Chamois sheets they have for babies, well I just found out they make them in all sizes (Queen, King, Twin, etc). Best of all they had it in a duvet cover too! I was so.....tempted to get it for our bed but they are a fortune!!!!!!!! I did end up with a pillowcase for DD and one for DS. I used a $50 gift card too so it wasn't bad at all.

Bunchkin...I don't know if you went to see Bridge to Tarebithia, and I am NOT familiar with the story but I heard it could be really traumatic at a certain part. Don't know what that's all about but thought I saw Roper saying that. Just an FYI.

Hang in there everyone and hope for the best with the weather!!!!

hi, everyone

It's icky-poo out there! I'm staying in the burbs to housesit and even the dog I'm sitting for was reluctant to go out! I had to stand with her in the backyard until she "went". I think the wind scared her.

Donna - I'm a Grey's fan! I was a little disappointed with the episode. Not that I'm upset about the outcome, but it wasn't as intense and I thought it would be. And I agree with hersey - I think you're talking about Izzie? She's kinda annoying. But I'm wondering if they'll address the issue that Meredith "let" herself drown! I kept telling everyone that that's what I figured she did but no one believed me! But she only told Denny, so maybe that won't come up anymore.

Well, DH came back from Italy. I met up with him yesterday to give him a piece of my mind or two over lunch :sad2: Afterwards, I treated myself to a movie and saw Night at the Museum, which I really enjoyed. I was the only one in the theater

I have to start getting ready for my CA trip! A friend is treating me to both lunch, at the Blue Bayou and dinner, at Napa Rose at the Grand Californian! Cool!! :thumbsup2

BYW...I love Greys and I balled when Denny went next to Izzie at the end!!!!!!

Donna...I have a Sony Cybershot 7.2 Megapixels.....

I'm glad you guys like my pics. I love sharing them with you guys if you don't mind. I love looking at your guys pics too. I love putting a face with a name!

WHOA>> It is really coming down outside.. sounds like some ice with the snow as you can hear it hit the house plus the wind is strong..

Good evening all. I had a few pages to catch up on since I was not on the computer at all yesterday.
The house is looking a little better. Still have some more painting to be done in the kitchen and trim work, but it really looks different around here without the wallpaper.
Worked 12 hours today and got to drive home in the not so nice weather. Roads aren't too nice here in the south burbs. Has been sleeting and icing. Should be an absolute bear to drive to work in the morning. Not looking forward to that at all. Didn't even see one truck out salting the road my whole way home. But I'm glad I don't live by Mac. Would hate to be looking at more snow. Seems to be raining now. Go figure.
Bunchkin - As far as good dates for bowling, I have March 17, 18, 31st or April 15, 28 or 29.
Debbie- I love looking at your pix. I just wish I could figure out how to do it. I have my WDW pix loading at photobucket. But don't know how to cross them over to here.
Rose, sorry for your loss. Hope you and your family are doing OK.
Sandy, hope you are not getting too bad weather your way. DD is supposed to have ballet rehearsal for the Peter Pan show, and I have to work so she will be riding with the other girls. Makes me nervous when I'm not the one driving her places. Especially when the roads aren't good.
Well, hello to everyone else, hope you are all warm and dry and in a safe place. Have a good rest of your weekend. Heading to bed early so I can get up earlier. Afraid I will have a slow drive in tomorrow.
:wave2:

TiggerRN it is so easy once you upload them to photobucket! All you do at that point is copy and paste the IMG Code they give you! It's the third one down. It's that easy!

Hi all!

I think we've gotten about an inch of snow, or whatever it is. There must be some sleet, too, since I've been able to hear it.

I've been so productive today (for a change! :rotfl: ). I've been going through stuff to get rid of, for my move. I had 3 boxes of school stuff, one for 6-8 grades, one for 9-10, and one for 11-12. I got rid of a ton of stuff, and now it all fits in one bin! :cool1: :yay: I still have a ton of stuff to go through, but at least it's a great start!

So I'm throwing down the gauntlet to my fellow packrats. Debbie, Hersey? Time to get moving and join me. ;) :rotfl2:

I found things I wrote back then about going to WDW, and I was using Disney World for the Magic Kingdom. (ie, I went to Disney World and Epcot. :rotfl2: ) I still say that sometimes, although it makes even less sense now.

I hope most of you can stay inside for the rest of the weekend, with this weather. I plan to! I don't plan to leave the house this entire weekend, which is nice after going to buy house stuff so much lately.

WHOA>> It is really coming down outside.. sounds like some ice with the snow as you can hear it hit the house plus the wind is strong..
For about the last 6 hours, it's been freezing rain/snow from what I can see and, that's not seeing good as my front windows (facing East) are covered with ice! They look like bathroom 'privacy windows' but, they aren't! Dh got called in about 12:30 in the morning (for nothing) and came home about 5:30 AM only to go back out at 4:30 today. TODAY was something tho. Assuming DH gets off at 4:30 AM, he'll be sleeping while the kids & I go to my parents for my Dad's 63rd BD tomorrow. :goodvibes

Stay safe everyone! :grouphug:
