What a soggy morning!!! :umbrella:
I'm so glad I can stay inside all day today :goodvibes

Last night it started sleeting when we left for church, and by the time church was over, it was really coming down. The pavement was so slick, but the roads weren't to bad yet. I was so glad to get home:goodvibes

Then last night Kevin and I watched Miami Vice (the movie) and it was so bad - we were so disappointed!!! :guilty: Both of us loved the tv show, and the movie was a poor comparison. So...I give it a big thumbs down.

Bunchkin - Thanks for the tips for Easter baskets (I always can use those). I actually still have stuff from WDW that are going into the baskets, because Santa couldn't fit them into the socks:santa: But, I will go check out the items you mentioned :thumbsup2
**I know about dates that won't work for me for The Meet
The first is March 17th (St. Patty's day) Stephanie is making her first reconciliation.
The second is the Saturday before Easter (I'm the host and I'll have a million things to do)
The third (this is a maybe) is the weekend after April 19th. I would like to have my mom and dad over for my mom's 60th birthday, but I have to check with her first on these dates. So I will get back to you on this one.
**Whatever I can help you with for this, please let me know :thumbsup2

macraven - how's the snow by you?

Becky - Have a nice time at your nephew's b-day party today :cool1:

Rose - continued hugs to you and your family
**I agree with what mac said about not going to the funeral. Your family should understand (at least I hope they would).

geffric - Did you watch the Robin Williams movie where he's president? I would like to see that ::yes::

Leigh - We did the same thing yesterday (but not to move) We went through our storage area and found boxes that we never unpacked from when we moved. We threw alot away and it felt really good :thumbsup2

Debbie - Thanks for sharing about The Bridge of Teribithia. I was thinking about taking Steph to see it, and she doesn't handle things like that well :sad2: So I think we will pass.

Jedi - I'm glad you told Toby how you feel ::yes:: You need to get that out of your system - keeping it inside isn't healthy.
**You are leaving in 8 days - how exciting!!!! :cool1:

Tiggerrnnn - Right now I just have rain here :umbrella: It looks more messy outside than treacherous.

Kim - Have a nice time at your dad's b-day party today :cool1:

Well, that's about it from me for now.
Kevin is making breakfast today, which is a nice break for me (he excels at breakfast!!! He is always a good cook (he taught me how to cook), but is the best at breakfast:goodvibes )
Have a good day today!!!

It's still kind of yucky here.

I'm being bad & skipping church. :sad2: I just don't feel like driving in it. I thought it was just rain but I saw the salt trucks go buy FOUR times in the short time I've been awake & looked like one of the times they were scrapping ice off the road.

Plus, since the end of my drive has all the snow from the road on it, I didn't feel like going out and shoveling this morning.

I'm thinking by the time it's time for my nephew's birthday party this afternoon, it will hopefully be better & we can get motivated to at least get the end of the drive shoveled out. I just know that's the heavy ice/snow combo and my shoulders just hurt thinking about it.

Leigh -- I'm not motivated to actually organize, however, I was up late last night folding clothes. I can actually see the bottom of "clean clothes" basket we have in the laundry room, instead of having clean clothes pile as tall as I am. Does that count? ;)

Becky - I don't blame ya for skipping church today. I think God will understand :) I'm so glad we went last night, because I would have skipped today too ::yes::

Morning.. Things are wet here.. Had snow and rain and snow... I shoveled this morning and it was heavy wet snow.. Now we have a mixure of snow and rain... turning to snow later on..

DH and Eric went skiing at Wilmot. They had free left tickets so they had to use them. Should be more snow up there.

SLO yes we saw the one when he was President.. very funny..

Becky and Kim have nice times at the B'day parties..

Hi to all.. gonna go off to the Y and work out..
see ya later

I found this thread about the Bridge to Teribithia......... Be careful though....if you are not familiar with the story line there are SPOILERS (mainly explaining why the movie is not for a younger audience).
This thread got all heated!!! Some people are so sensitive!!!! It cracks me up what people will argue about sometimes. really I found it so funny to watch people argue about a flippin movie!:rotfl2:

Hi all-
Sorry I haven't been able to catch up here,I guess I'll read up later when I have time.

My small vent. One of my neighbor's, her freind, came to our door at about 8:45 am this morning complaining to my dh that our children are too loud and he needs to discipline them!! Well, Don was disciplining Chrissy and gave Chrissy a time-out about 5 or 10 min before that, which is usual to give Chrissy a time-out. I guess we were disturbing this woman's "peace". Sounded like this woman was already up and walking our neighbor's dog. I had no clue this woman came to our door until Don told me, as I didin't hear a knock on our door. But Don answered the door and this woman(who is probably younger than me and Don) starting getting upset with my husband that we don't know how to discipline our chidlren
Yes, I realize the walls are thin here in our condo complex, but this woman doesn't even LIVE here. She is only here to stay a couple of nights here and there to do dog-walking for our upstairs neighbor. Our single neighbor upstairs(who is only in her late '20s) has an entourage of friends that help her out clean her condo, dog-walk. And they are drinking buddies, I suppose. This single neighbor is capable of doing her own stuff, she's not disabled as far as I know. She just has her "friends" hang out and do the dog-walking etc for her. It can be a revolving door in her condo, as I see different cars in her parking spot and different people come in and out of her door.
Anyhow, my dh did apologize to this woman at first, but she ripped into him about hte noise and disciplining skills :sad1:
A few minutes later, I saw her come in from outside with our neighbor's dog and I ripped into her. Tellling her she doens't know my kids, etc and kids are going to cry and make noises when they are upset and have a time-out. She didn't want any part of what I was trying to say to her and she started swearing at me. I told this lady to please move out and have our neighbor move out too if they don't like it here.
End of vent. Thanks for letting me vent.

Like DH and I don't have enough stress in our lives

Mac- don't worry about my aunt;'s funeral and Don not being htere. Don is so stressed out from work right now, that he would LOVE to take off of work and just call in sick. But he knows he can't do htat, as he is needed way too much at work right now :guilty: My parents more that understand he cannot be at hte funeral, as they told me he shouldn't go to hte funeral anyways. Not sure if I'm going to the funeral myself, as my parents don't want me there either. If it's in Berwyn tomorrow, I wouldn't get back in time when hte kids get home from school anyways. You're right, it's just best to go to hte wake and that's it :)

Ok, I gotta run and get going in the shower and get going to the wake.

Hope everyone is well and is doing ok with the ice/snow.

I hate winter. That was very heavy wet snow. Good thing Alex is big enough to shovel too. Now it's raining! I can't keep up first ice then snow then ice and snow. :confused3 Hope everyone is well.

Jedi Have a relaxing time on your trip. Sounds like you have a generous friend.:woohoo:

Alex's project is all done :woohoo: He present's it to the school this week.
I finally have my computer back.

It's still kind of yucky here.

I'm being bad & skipping church. :sad2:

does it count if you watch it on tv? :confused3 I do that on Christmas Eve sometimes, but always fall asleep :rolleyes1

Anyone watching the Oscars tonight? We have our annual program here at the library (my part time one) and we show it, afterhours (since the library closes at 5). So, I'm working 1-11pm (or whenever the Oscars end) but the neat thing is, it's Sunday, so it's time and a half! :cool1: :dance3: Plus, we dress up in formal gowns to make the occasion more festive. So watching the Oscars should be fun! popcorn::

Tell him to be careful. It's pretty icky. I cleaned the heavy wet snow off my car and I had back pain afterwards. I saw an elderly-ish woman shoveling on my way to work and I felt really bad. She probably shouldn't have been doing that :guilty:

I'm hoping to relax on my trip! It's not - well, Europe, but oh well. It's something. :goodvibes

I'm going through my college box now. I think I can get rid of a lot of that. I didn't really like college anyway. :rotfl:

Hey! 3 months from today I'll be at Epcot!!! :dance3: :woohoo:

don't fret, i have you all covered for the week, went to church this morning.

only about 40 people showed up as many of the streets are covered in ice.
we scraped the drive which took a long time this morning so i could get out.

church is cancelled for tonight due to the treacherious street conditions.
it has been snowing here since noon, all on top of the ice.
a few miles up the road in wisconsin is really having it bad. some accidents and one death early this morning.

son would not stay over last night.
he was still driving at midnight last night trying to get to milwaukee.
that 10 miles from our house to where he was took him 2 hours and he still had a way to go to get to mlk and home..........dumb kid. he thought it would be worse this morning to try to get home and he didn't want to miss church so he took the chance and drove it.

carmen, good for you!
you will have fun at DL

and, i LOVE watching the oscars !!

i have a date with the tv tonight. mr mac hates it so he will be upstairs and read and watch lifetime on tv.

we only received about 4-5 inches of snow from midnight to early morning on top of the ice but now i think we will get lots more on top of that.

all of a sudden i am craving a turtle sundae at culvers............

i was going to post more in reference to what you all have posted but i forgot everything.

i'll try again in a bit.

I am so embarrassed to say that I have been the worlds biggest BUM today  I sat down on my favorite part of the couch at 12 noon and read a couple of magazines. Then I decided to watch some tv. So I watched RV and then when that was over I watched Gone With the Wind (my favorite movie) until 5pm. Then I thought, "Hmmmmmm..............E! is on from the red carpet :scratchin" So I watched that :) Then after that The Academy Awards started, and that's where I'm at right now:rolleyes: I gotta tell ya, I really needed a lazy day like this today ::yes::

Now, Stephanie is messing with a loose tooth that she is determined to get out TONIGHT:eek: I make this face  because I don't know if I have any singles to give her from the tooth fairy. I think a $10 bill is a little much for a tooth:rolleyes:

geffric - I hope your DH and Eric had fun skiing

Debbie - Thanks for the link - I will have to check it out:thumbsup2

Leigh - :wave2:

Rose - What a horrible way to start your day today:mad: It always amazes me how people can't mind their own business:mad: I hope you have no more run-ins with that woman.

HERSEY - Tell Alex that I hope he gets an A+ on his project:wizard:

Jedi - That Oscar party sounds like fun - I hope you have a good time:cool1:

macraven - A turtle sundae at Culvers sounds sooo......good!!!!:goodvibes

I hope you all have a good rest of the night
See you when the sun shines :sunny:

My apologies for those of you trying to reach the site recently to find out
it was not working.
I was unaware of this myself until this evening.
I'm trying to redesign the site and apparently inadvertantly put a bad page
out last week.

The page I have out there now works, but does not have the functions I want
it to have.
I'll have a full site revamp in a few weeks.
Be patient and let me know if there are any issues with the page. Thanks.

Hey everyone - Good morning...what a cruddy weekend! We had a dinner for Home of the Sparrow on Saturday night..it was just in Woodstock...& we;re in Crystal Lake...took us an HOUR to get there! The roads were so awful! Then it took 40 minues to get home. They ended the night early, sent the band home...I felt so sorry for them, I'm sure they didn't raise the amount of money they wanted to .

We were bums yesterday too....played Wii most of the day, read a few travel magazines - I'm thinking we're going to do the Lake Michigan Crcle tour this summer - drive from here up the west coast of Michigan then around the UP then back down the east coast of Wisc. I dunno I just want to go SOMEWHERE

& where the heck is the sun?

is it ever going to be spring?

oh well, off to another day of stuff...

have a good monday everyone
