Summer must be around the corner :sunny:

I went to Kohls today and all the spring/summer clothes are out. Just seeing them made me happy to know that winter isn't forever (because sometimes it feels like forever:rolleyes: )

I bought myself a new pair of jeans in a size smaller than what I currently have. I guess all this exercising and retraining my healthy eating habits is paying off :woohoo: The scale says I only lost 5lbs, but I can see myself getting more toned up, and that's more important to me than actual weight :teeth:

Well, I'm off to make supper so Kevin can put it in the oven while I"m running errands later on.

Later gaters!!!

Have you ever seen this before?? I haven't!!
A cool map of MK tunnels!! :3dglasses

We watched a Modern Marvels show recently that was about WDW and they talked about these tunnels - it's amazing, isn't it?! When the girls are older, I really want to do the underground tour at the MK. My in-laws have done it and they really enjoyed it.:thumbsup2

How are you feeling today?

I'm starting to feel a little better. Of course, Tony was starting to feel fine yesterday. I think his cold is entirely gone now.
I don't have a spleen, so I don't have a good immune system. It takes me a little longer to get over colds.

Congrats to you!! :cool1: You must be proud of yourself!! :thumbsup2

I'm glad Tony is better and you are on the road to getting better.

I didn't know that your spleen interacted with the bodies immune system - I learn something new everyday here on The DIS:)

How did you lose your spleen?
Or is that a story for another day?

Congrats to you!! :cool1: You must be proud of yourself!! :thumbsup2
Thanks!!!
I was pretty darn excited!!! :woohoo:

Well, I better go make my Tater Tot Casserole (one of Stephanie's all time favorite meals). Talk to ya later!!!

How did you lose your spleen?
Or is that a story for another day?

I'll share my story of woe!! ;)

It was the summer of 1982. I was on my bike. I took off from a steep hill in a parking lot, cut across another parking lot of a condo complex and then down what looked like a grassy hill. I was slowing down from a good speed. I had a friend to my left that was slightly ahead of me, she went over and down this grassy hill first. But directly in front of me was a different story! The grass was actually covering wood and an opening where a dumpster should have been. So I went up the hill but at the top I flew off the hill, did a sumersault in the air while hitting the handle bars into my stomach and then landed on my stomach with my arm under my head. I had ruptured my spleen. They thought for sure I had to have broken my arm too because of landing on it, but I didn't.
My docotor was on vacation. I laid in the hospital for hours before they figured out what was wrong and I went into surgery. Recovery was HORRIBLE!!! I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. And then still recovering at home.
We found out later on a follow up visit that I had hemmoraged so much blood that I was very close to death. They didn't tell my parents this though in hopes that the surgery was a success. My parents were furious to find out that they kept this info from them regardless of the outcome.
I have a nice two foot scar on my stomach from the surgery! :)

OUCH!! Bunchkin, that sounds like a horrible accident! Seriously!! YOUCH!!!

:scared1:

Hey, does everyone like the new music for the YOAMD promotions on TV. You can get the full song pretty easily. The song is called Flying and it's from the movie Peter Pan (non-Disney). Well, the song is called Flying and it is composed by James Newton Howard. Oddly, Disney is using a song from a non-Disney production of Peter Pan as its music for YOAMD? Oh well, it's still very pretty to listen to. It's actually a great musical score.

Carmen... yeah kick his **** GIRL!! Sometimes, they need it!!

Debbie, your daughter looks adorable with that Mickey snowman!

Yes, it was quite painful.

And the movie with Robin Williams and Julia Roberts is 'Hook', not 'Peter Pan'. ;) It's still a really cool score though, nice song! :)

Oh my, I got my movies mixed up. This score is definitely from a non-Disney version of Peter Pan. Definitely not Hook. Sorry folks!

Hi Everyone,
I have just been doing the day-to-day stuff per usual. Glad everyone sounds like they are pretty much OK. Sorry you are having troubles Jedi! I feel for you. Bunchkin..glad you are feeling better. Sorry for your missing spleen.... Slo...congrats on the pants. I have been eating like a pig...I feel hungry all the time these days. I swear it started when the temperatures dropped and my body wanted to bulk up! As to the cleaners...I hate you (not really...Disney people don't hate anyone, right)! You make me feel guilty!!!!!!!!!!!

We made another cool snowman. I will have to download pix. Now the snow is melting…which is kind of sad. Once the sidewalks and streets are clean I really do like the snow if it’s going to be cold anyway!

Today I spent the afternoon at Go Bananas. DD had a blast! I have come to the conclusion that Go Bananas and Dinorex are just the original Jeepers, which were originally Jungle Jim’s! My friend and I said that if they could just combine one of those kinds of places with better coffee or salads then it would be a slam-dunk!

My Mom and I decided that we need to figure out our Fall Disney plans before we hit the 180 mark so again I am trying to decide either October or November and am leaning towards November because we have never done that and would love to try and go to the MVMCP (even though I will really miss the MNSSP)
Thanks for the compliments on my siggie. I like playing around with it. Do you guys like my weather report in my siggie?
Have a good night!
Thanks for listening.

Thought I would take a peek and see who's out to play for a minute. :lmao:
I'm taking a short break helping Alex put the finishing touches? on his World fair project. I bought a new software for my computer but the blasted thing won't open. The goof's at Staples said for 29.95 they can upload it. I can do it myself for free if only it opens. I have to be missing something but I'm to busy to sit and figure it out, so back it goes.

Ok back to the grind stone. Maybe this weekend I can come out to play again.;)

Good evening everyone.
Bunchkin, glad you are starting to feel better. I wish I could say the same. I need some good cold drugs. Sorry to hear about your accident. That must have been awful. Do you catch things easier as well as hold on to them longer?

I spent the day stripping wallpaper paste/glue from my dining room walls. Absolute YUCK!!! Tough job. The painter finished DH and my bedroom completely and started the trim in the hall and did all the patching. DS drove a big whell tire through the end of the hallway. OOPS! He was 2. He's now 6. I was always going to get around to fixing that, but figured what's the rush?:lmao:
I hope after all work I'm doing preparing the walls, they paint nice. We were torn between painting and repapering. Since we really didn't know who to ask about paper, we just decided to try to paint them. Hope we don't regret it.

Deb, I'm not seeing your pix. Did you switch them out yet or is it still the first one? All I see is a red x. in the box.

Well, I guess I'll say good-night to you all and get ready for bed. Maybe a good sleep will do me some good.
Hello to everyone and hope you are all doing well. Have a good night.

Tiggernn Sounds like you have your hands full with home repairs.

I do catch colds and the like much easier than a "normal" person would.
It's a real pain.
And I was reading up about what other things can happen medically to people with no spleen, and I read that one symptom can cause irregular arrhythmias!!!!!! Can you believe it?? I wonder if this why my heart has been going crazy? I need to bring this up to my cardio dr.

I bought myself a new pair of jeans in a size smaller than what I currently have.
That is FAB!!! :thumbsup2 Congrats Sandy!!!!!! :woohoo:

Hi Everyone,
I have just been doing the day-to-day stuff per usual.
I think I saw your DD at school today. You must have been gone already tho. :guilty:

We bought new living room furniture Sunday, at DHs request!!!!!! Here's a link (I hope): http://jcpenney.shoplocal.com/jcpen...number=3&rapid=365369&prvid=JCPenney-070218A4 Only differences are, we traded the chaise for another love seat on the right hand side and, we chose blue. 6-8 weeks for delivery!

Today is Ash Wednesday - is anyone else Catholic here?
If so...what are you giving up for Lent?
Stephanie and I are doing one together - we are giving up music in the car. This will be a real sacrifice for both of us - but we'll be alright. The way time flies for me lately, Easter will be here before I know it

How's the fog by all of you?
I'm assuming it's not very good here, because Stephanie has a 2 hour delay today. To bad I didn't know that before I camped out here on the kitchen table with my cup of coffee :surfweb: Oh well, I have a 9:15am doctors appt today so I guess I will stay up

Bunchkin - Yikes, that's a scary story!!!! What a horrible childhood memory for you:eek: I'm sorry you had to go through that  I had my share of stitches, sprains, and broken bones, but nothing compares to that :sad2:

Sam - :wave2:

Debbie - Thanks for the congrats :goodvibes I always like to eat more in the winter too ::yes:: so I've been buying a ton of grapes and I snack on those off and on all day.

HERSEY - Good luck to you and Alex with his project :wizard: I'm sure it will come out great!!!

Tiggerrnnn - Wow, you got alot going on at your house - good luck with all that:wizard: I'm also sending you some get well pd:wizard: It's no fun being sick when you have alot to do. I hope you feel better soon.

Kim - Thanks for the congrats!!! :goodvibes

Well, I guess I should get myself going
Have a great day today everyone!!!

Good foggy morning!!

Lots of errands to run here today. I don't want to do any of them. :)

slo We are not Catholic. So we don't follow Lent traditions.
But if I was, I would give up DH!!! ::yes::
I could easily live without him for a few weeks or MORE. He's getting on my nerves lately!!! :)
Good luck at the doctor and drive safely in all this fog! ;)

Kim That's a nice sectional set! Isn't it a bummer on how long it takes to get furniture! I hope all is going well for you!

Hersey I hope you can come out to play with us soon. :rotfl: How is Alex's project going?

Question of the Day for Everyone!!!
What do you all think of having a bowling meet in March or April?
