My Mom and I decided that we need to figure out our Fall Disney plans before we hit the 180 mark so again I am trying to decide either October or November and am leaning towards November because we have never done that and would love to try and go to the MVMCP (even though I will really miss the MNSSP)

You have to try MVMCP at least once!! We enjoyed it!! :) :)

I'm up for a bowling meet! :goodvibes

I think I'm going to give up meat. I've been considering becoming a vegetarian for some time now and this could be a good opportunity to see how I'd do :rolleyes1

DH comes home from Italy tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'm going to talk to him. Yeah. Italy. I found out he'd been there since 2 weeks ago. He never even told me. I found out on my own :guilty:

HEY! I can give up talking to him, for lent :rotfl:

:sad2:

jedi Oh you poor thing! No wonder why you're so upset! I would flaming mad myself!!

You are allowed to give up meat and the meat head for Lent!!! :lmao:

(Don't forget to supplement with vitamins if you are going to give up meat! :thumbsup2 )

Ok that's one vote for bowling!! YAY!!! :cool1:

Jedi, did that DH of yours win the Lotto or rob a bank or something? He's doing a lot of great traveling lately?

I'm not Catholic, but I often try to give things up just as a way to torture myself for the next 6 1/2 weeks!!

The fog was very thick this morning out my way. Lots of slick spots on the wet roads too! Sheesh! Someone had a bad accident near the new 355 construction zone and I ended up taking the long way to drop Megan off at Bunchkin's this morning. I missed my usual train, but managed to catch the next and last "express" train into the city. I can't wait for good sustained weather just for the driving aspect alone!! Of course, now it's all beautiful and sunny outside! Sheesh!

:beach:

Well, it's going to be a light day here I can tell already! That's good, it'll give me some time to play on Google Maps. I found an orange grove last night cut into the perfect Mickey Head shape. I found it just south of Clermont, FL on Rte 27. If I can, I'll post a link, it's really cute. It's not a natural thing, you can tell it's been purposely groomed that way. It must be a big grove too because the Mickey head would be visible from an airplane!

I am trying to find some back roads into WDW rather than taking the main highways, which were really crowded last year when I drove there.

Sam

Hi all-
Well.... I have had alot going on the past 24 hrs or so. I tried to post here about 3:30pm yest, but I lost my post before I finished, and then my internet cut me off all together for a few minutes. Then I didn't have time to re-post after that.
Got a call Tues morning from my cousin, that my aunt(same woman is my godmother) had a massive stroke Mon night at home. It was very unexpected :sad2: :sad1: .Many phone calls back and forth to my mom, dad during hte day. My aunt that had the massive stroke is my dad's sister. My dad went to visit her yest morning in CCU after he got hte news. We were told yest afternoon my aunt may not make it during the night last night, so my mom, dad, and I went to the hosp to visit with her last night. My aunt is on a ventilator, lots of IV meds, is very sedated. Had 2 priests do the last rites. One of the preists was the hospital chaplain and the other preist was a preist my dad knew. It was pretty sad. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen my aunt/ godmother in 3 yrs, until now. That part is a long story for another time.
So far this morning, haven't gotten a phone call yet that she died, so kinda waiting for that phone call :sad1: I guess the blood clot she had in her brain(that caused the stroke) didin't dissolve with heavy duty IV blood thinners. Her carotid artery was totally blocked, too. My aunt also had an internal pacemaker put in when she got to the hosp Mon night, as I heard from my cousin, my aunt's heart stopped about 7 times on Monday night!
So I have been praying for a miracle she can get better or God takes her.

Totally unrelated, but got a phone call Monday morning that another cousin called- on my mom's side. My cousin's dad isn't doing too well and had been in and out of the hosp.

Bunchkin- QOTD- whatever you guys want to do is fine. Not sure if I can make it yet, alot going on in March and April for me.

Good morning everyone.
Rose.:grouphug: Seems like you could really use one of these. You will be in all our thoughts and prayers. Sick family members is so hard.
Bunchkin, I would love to do a bowling meet if I am not working. Used to bowl on a league, but haven't in a longggg time. Count me in if I'm off.
Kim-love the furniture. Bet you wish you had it this minute.
Jedi-:grouphug: Don't you wonder how he can do all that now? Seems you have to be the responsible one and stay home with your child(bird)while he goes off gallavanting around. Typical. We're here for you.
Sam, where are you seeing sun? Still foggy/frosty here in the south suburbs.
Well, I'd better run to the store quick. Painter will be back this afternoon, so I need to run a few quick errands before he arrives.
Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning everyone.

Thanks, tiggerrn :goodvibes
Sounds like they will be turning off the ventilator and off any life-saving measures :sad1:

Jedi -- :grouphug:

Rose -- :grouphug:

You both could use some big ones right now!!

Hugs to anyone else that I missed that could use them.

The bowling meet sounds fun, not sure if I could make it but if I can would be fun. I used to bowl on the High School team & then once on mixed leagues at work. I was the lonely female on the team of 3 guys who could bowl about 1,000 times better than I could. I *was* better but then somehow as I got older got worse. :rotfl:

I've decided it's not a good thing to take your child to a park district class while you have an hour to sit there & do nothing. Your mind wanders -- we have to stay there though because it's for 3 year olds & we have to be available to take them to the restroom. I was looking at my calendar and saw that my kids get an awfully long Christmas break this year...hmmm....you know Disney is calling our name. I wonder.....is it too late to think of a Christmas trip? Hmm...so I'm pondering that as their last day is Dec. 21 and they don't have to go back until Jan. 7.

I know it's THE most crowded time of the year but I'm not worried about that, I can manuver around crowds as I'm not going blindly into it. I haven't run this by DH yet though and will have to wait & see. He's going for a job interview today and that can change things all around too.

TiggerRN. The sun is still shining brightly downtown. Is it still frosty and foggy back out south?

It's pretty unusual that the sun is out in the Loop and it's blah down south!

roseprincess - Sorry to hear about your godmother. I'll keep your family in my thoughts! I'm hoping for the best!

What wonderful sunshine :sunny: after such a foggy morning :upsidedow

I just got done feeding Katie and I lunch, and now she is down for nap :teeth: I have some things to do around the house, and then I have to start thinking about making an early meal, because we have church tonight at 7pm. For dinner tonight I am making Market Days Crispy Crunchy Cod and twice baked pototoes (I've never made twice baked potatoes so I'm hoping I do it right (fingers crossed) ) and corn. :)

I went to the doctor this morning so he could check me out after that sore throat I had, and to give me the script to go get the MRI done on my knees. There was a student doctor there (a lady) and he had her come look at my hands (because I have Raynauds which some of you heard me talk about) and this week has been a really bad week for my hands. She came and looked at them and talked with me about them for about 15 minutes. She said that she learned about this in school, but never talked to a patient about it, and she wanted to kinda interview me about them (she was so sweet - she will make a great doctor). She then gave me a little heat pack that she carries around with her and told me to keep it. She said you can buy them at Sams Club by the camping items. So when I left I put it inside me glove, and it really did keep my hand toasty warm. I'm going to take a drive to Sam's Club soon to get some more so I can put them in my gloves on super cold days, like the ones we just had (even though I wear my gloves until temps reach over 55-60 degrees, but a heat pack will only be necessary on super cold days). So that was my morning :teeth:

Bunchkin - Sorry Tony is bugging you lately:guilty: This time of year I think we all get on each others nerves easier because we are couped up in the house. I know Kevin gets very antsy (which is very annoying to me) this time of year because he's not outside working on a project. Once it's warmer out and we get outside, we'll all breath a little easier ::yes::
**To answer your QOTD - I would love to do a bowling meet!!!!:cool1: But there's a couple of dates in both of those months I couldn't do it on, but we can worry about that later.

Debbie - When you do move stuff in Photobucket, it does mess things up ::yes:: I can hardly wait to see your new picture:goodvibes

Kim - I forgot to tell you that I looked at your new furniture and I love it. But I"m pretty partial, because I have almost the exact same thing, and I love it :goodvibes

Jedi - Good luck with giving up meat for Lent. That would be a hard one for me to do
**Toby sure is traveling alot lately - what's the deal??
I would be fighting mad too if I were you
Tell him to watch out, because you have alot of friends in alot of places:grouphug:

Sam - Sounds like you had a stressful morning:headache: Where do you work in the city - I can't remember

Rosemarie - I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt  I will keep her in my prayers for a peaceful passing  Please keep us posted!!

Tiggerrnn - How's the painting looking?
How are you feeling today??

Becky - I hope your DH's job interview goes well :wizard: WDW at Christmas sounds like alot of fun :santa:

Well, I gotta get my rear in gear :upsidedow
Have a good rest of the day everyone!!

Hey all!!

Well, I had to go and pick up Hunter early from school. His teacher called while I was at the grocery store saying that he had a bad stomach ache and was crying. He seemed ok when I picked him up but later on the way home he got a stomach crap. I think it was what he ate for lunch. Right now he is resting and watching tv in the playroom.

rosemarie Sorry to her about your aunt. It's so hard loosing a loved one.

I'm sorry to hear about your second warning :guilty:
What did they say was the problem?
Who sent it to you?

I'm getting a little nervous about my double baked potatoes.
They've been in the oven for an hour now and they are still feeling hard
If they don't soften up in about 15 minutes, then I'm SOL

Later gaters!!!

I'm sorry  , but I knew you were going to. That picture of your daughter, while ADORABLE princess: , is huge. If you shrunk it down you'd be fine, I think. Have you seen the sig guidelines? I can help you if you need it.

(And I know that some people get away with it.)

yeah... yeah ....200 X 200 but I guess the reason I get mad is take a look at everyone's sigs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on! I have friend who's sig is as big as the pictures I post and she hasn't gotten a boo! Just look at the sigs out there and then you see one violation posted????????? Come on...Yell at everyone or no one! I know I am being a big baby about this but for some reason it really bugs me!!!!!!!

SLO......Congrats on over 9,000 Wow!!

Debbie! Don't be mad about a large siggie. I know it seems like they might be singling you out, but they have to try to curb the amount of large pictures they have in signature lines. Those things eat up major amounts of bandwidth and other computer terms that I forget right off my head right now. It costs them more money to expand their "databases" and buy more bandwidth, so I'm sure they try to keep costs within a certain amount. You know it costs money to host these boards right. They are not free, that's why you see people who sponsor the DIS and I'm sure Dreams Unlimited kicks in a big chunk.

Also, if everyone had a signature as big as yours, it would slow down the board to a snails' pace. You'll be doing DIS a favor by reducing the size of your siggie. Notice how we don't get as many of those "boards too busy, try back later notices, it's because they have already expanded the boards once over the holidays. They can only handle so much in terms of capacity. It's really up to everyone to cooperate so the board runs within budget and at a nice speed.

:hippie:

Good evening everyone. Busy day today. Finished up :laundy:
With the painting going on, I've been taking down curtains and doing all kinds of spring cleaning early. I need to get the drapes to the cleaners tomorrow. Darn things. Wish they were machine wash. I hate taking things to the cleaners. Guess I'll bring in the rest of the dry clean only junk too while I'm at it.
Sandy, the painting is coming along. He finished halls today and started wall repairs in the bathroom. I finished the glue removal and wall scraping in the dining room today, on to the kitchen tomorrow. Only one big wall in there as the rest of the papering was done directly on drywall board with little glue and not much damage. Paper came off easily, too.:thumbsup2
And my cold is still hanging on. Sneezing fits and half stuffed one minute and draining the next. But I am hopeful it is going away and won't get any worse now.
And Congrats on your 9000. Wow!!! I don't think I'll ever get that far. I've not been on here all that long though.
Rosemarie, how are you this evening? Thinking of you.
Bunchkin, how is Hunter feeling tonight? pixiedust: so he'll be good to go tomorrow.
Well, better run. Still have to do a few things before the sun comes up and brings the painter back in the morning.:rotfl:

Carmen - Did you get your cookies??? The lady I left them with wanted your thin mints! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for the furniture comments. :thumbsup2 Sandy, do you like your sectional? We've never had one before. Does it shift a lot? Ours is in 5 pieces and, I wondered about that.

Congrats on your DISiversary! :thumbsup2 And on 9,000!!! :cheer2:

Rose, sorry to hear about your Aunt. :sad1:

Nicole, how's Hunter (and that DH)? ;) Bowling?? Absolutely, if the date/time works!! :thumbsup2 Maybe a 'fun' bowling, like they do at Candelight ones or, scotch doubles, where one game is 'silly'? :confused3

Debbie, DEEP Breaths! :rotfl:

 & :grouphug: everyone!!
