Katie's birthday party was a success, and she received a lot of nice presents We all went to bed with a stomachache though after eating to many snacks, then to much cake, and then greasy Pizza Hut pizza But the stomachache was worth it, because it all tasted so good


Now Katie is excited about having her birthday at school tomorrow (her actual birthday). We are buying Krispy Kreme donuts (her choice) and taking them to daycare for her to share with her friends Then tomorrow night, we are going to take her out for ice cream at Culvers. I'm feeling a little sad about working on her birthday, but I don't have a choice.

poohlovermom - The store is going well - thanks for asking!!! I'm having a good August there, and that makes me happy. I would still like to be busier, but that will come with time

Becky - Now I will have to watch HSM2 again to see that part you talked about (well I may not watch it again, but I know Stephanie will watch it again, and again, and again I'll have to have Steph call me when that part comes on). I will laugh so hard if I see hairy armpits

Bunchkin - We made some of our Tastefully Simple dips yesterday, and they were a big hit I didn't make the beer bread though, because I didn't have time - oh well, next time
**I can't believe Hunter will be starting kindergarten either. These kids are growing up so so fast. How does Lauren feel about turning 10? Stephanie cried on her birthday this year and said she is sad because next year she'll be double digits - she doesn't want to get older I'm sure that will change next year. Hugs to you for Hunter starting kindergarten I'm sure it will be hard for you.

Debbie - I always wanted to see The Wiggles (notice that I said "I" ) Seriously though, I think they are a great group of guys, that are great for children to watch. How is the guy that replaced Anthony? I haven't seen anything of theirs since he left. Have they made new shows w/o Anthony in them?

Good morning all!!


Did everyone get rain? Lots and lots of rain? And thunder???
Hunter came paying me a visit last night and ended up in our bed for a short while till I carried him back to his bed. At one point I had woken up with him lying next to me and he had his little hand on my face.


Lauren actually set her alarm clock last night and woke up at the new time she needs to be up for school. But because no one else was up she went back to sleep. At least she made the effort!!


slo Glad to hear that Katie's party went well!!! I bet she had a great time! I can't believe she is 4!!
I kind of feel like I don't want Hunter to go to school. He's my little man and I want him to stay home....forever!! But I know that's just not going to happen!
Lauren doesn't get sad about her b-days. In fact she's been counting down till she's 12 yrs old for when she can legally sit in the front seat of the car!!


Becky I just had to go back and reread what you said about the guy stunt double in HSM2 after slo mentioned it!! I'll have to keep an eye out for that!!!


mac I must have missed where you said it was your b-day yesterday!!

As for the stunt double in HSM2 -- I really couldn't tell it was a male. That's just what I read on another thread but you do need to *pause* it right at the scene where she's standing on the ledge right before jumping in otherwise the scene goes by really fast & it looks like Gabriella but on the pause you can definitely tell it's NOT her and it's a wig. I just thought "WHAT?" when someone has it on Tivo???? or something and they said they paused it/frame by frame and saw hairy armpits & such -- so ?? I had to go back and see if I could see what they were talking about. Nope...I couldn't see that type of thing on our VCR taped tape but DEFINITELY said "yep...that's not her", I went on IMBD to see if there was anything listed. The only thing listed is a "stand-in" which is for Ashley Tisdale, clicked on that link and said she was a body double for Ashley -- so I'm not sure what that person did. The definition of the stand-in is just someone who stood there during the set-up scenes so the actors didn't have to stand there for hours before ready to shoot. So, I don't think this person was actually in the film anywhere.

It's going to be a long week I have a feeling. I was trying to get the kids back into bedtime routines for school. Last night got all messed up because I got a call to go to a Cub Scout Pack committee meeting that I didn't even know I was on. I remember vaguely offering to help with awards last year at the end of the pack night but I got the impression I was just to be a fill-in because someone else had also volunteered. I never got the e-mail about the meeting either -- so a phone call at 5 pm for a 7 pm meeting and then didn't get done until 9, so the kids were up until 10 pm. NOT a good start to -- you need to get to bed early so we can start waking back up for school. I attempted to wake DD up but FINALLY at 9:30 she gets out of bed -- that's with me going in there and waking her up several times. Wednesday will NOT be a fun morning here.....

I hope all this rain is gone by then though!!! I hate, hate, hate driving to school the first day of school for the boys (DD takes the bus so no problems there). I always try to walk because it's basically pure chaos. When I looked last night at the weater it had rain, every day except Wed. was clear. I'll take that. Hee Hee. DH on the other hand said it's supposed to rain every day this week. I will have to leave extremely early if it's raining because most people are going to be bringing their kids & parking vs. just doing the drop-off line.

Yuck. We are supposed to have rain all day. I wanted to do something fun with the kids since they start back at school on Wed. Guess we will settle for swimming at the Y, the library, and lunch. They should be exhausted soon, though. I made them get up at the time they will need to for school. They (and I) are too used to sleeping in!

This rain is keeping the traffic down in the plaza.
Even the restaurant isn't having much business.
I've taken advantage of this dreary day to sew down a football jersey for a customer - that always takes alot of time.
Now, I'm finishing up some lunch, and then I have other things to get caught up on.


My mom and Stephanie are having a good day today. They went to the local fun center to play games, and now they are having lunch at Steak-n-Shake. I'm so glad that they've had this summer to have a lot of quality time together Stephanie will always have wonderful memories of spending time with Grandma, just like I have of my Grandma

bigben - Thanks for the reminder - I"ll set the DVR when I get home

Bunchkin - We did get tons and tons of rain Stephanie was in my room all night (she started out there from the beginning because the neighbors behind us had a loud party until 11pm, and she couldn't fall asleep). Katie came into my room at 5:30 am when the second round of storms came through. She's going to be tired, because I don't think she ever fell back asleep.
**I had to chuckle about what you said about Lauren and the front seat. Stephanie wants to sit in the front seat so badly too But for now, she's just glad to be out of a car seat (which she should still be in because of her weight - she's only 48lbs)

Becky - Stephanie wants me to take her the first day of school tomorrow too, and I know it'll be craziness If I could walk her I would, but her school is to far away. I can't believe these kids are going back to school - where did the summer go

paint - Your day still sounds like fun That's great about you reading about that game - I would say that still counts

Debbie - Yes about Greg!! As soon as I read your post, I realized that I mistyped and wrote Anthony So...you think Anthony is the hottest Wiggle. I gotta say, I have a little crush on Greg - I think he's pretty dreamy Was it ever released on what is wrong with him? I remember the press saying he was leaving for awhile, but I don't remember hearing why - do you know????

Glad everyone enjoyed the HSM party nights.

We had wicked storms here last night and the crick beside our house was full and flowing fast. The dog kept running over to try to greet the neighbor dog and would get stopped short. Didn't want to get his feet wet. Some retriever he is!! I ended up with both kids crawling into our room. DH went downstairs to try to get some sleep leaving me with both wigglies. And the dog. He wasn't happy about the storms either.

bigben, waiting up to watch the show. Not too tired.

Kids tonsils come out Wednesday. Went and picked up some good books for them to read and bought each a new Webkins to take along for comfort to the hospital. I hope all goes well.

Hope everyone does OK with their kids going back off to school. And getting up early again.
