Bunchkin- Congrats on the new car! Those are really nice!
Ms. Grumpy- Good luck with school! I am studying to teach HS English.
DMM- Pregnancy...if you can't reach your toes, how can you paint them? Good excuse for a pedi!
Hersey- Our school supply list was not too bad. The kids need to bring a few bucks on the first day to cover things the teacher will provide, like folders, notebooks, and binders. Saves me time and money!
Jedi- Wow! What an amzing trip that will be!
Tiggerrn- Hope tomorrow is better. If not, you still have HSM 2 to look forward to, right?
Not much going on here. DD had a friend over this afternoon. They watched HSM, of course. Then, dd had to spend some time in her room, due to her sassy mouth. I am sooo ready for school to start, but it doesn't start until Thursday. I'm not sure I can make it!
HSM 2 partiers- Have fun. Bf and ds want no part. They are going to do "guy stuff"!

 Happy High School Musical 2 Day!!!!!!!!!!
I'm really looking forward to watching this tonight.
I'm so glad that I work so close to home so I won't miss any of it :thumbsup2

The pictures yesterday went well :thumbsup2
I never did find anything great to wear, so I did the best I can. I have decided that I don't own any nice clothes:sad2: I own alot of nice casual clothes, but not any nice clothes - does that make any sense? I need to go shopping and get something.

I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to come back yesterday.
I'm just going to pick up from my last post.

Well, I gotta run
Have a good day today everyone!!

Morning..

Bunchy - congrats on the car. I love the color and it looks like a great car. I am partial to Dodge/Chrysler too.

John I go to Webb Dodge on Roosevelt Road.

Jedi tell us more about the trip.. sounds wonderful.

Ms. Grumpy WOW those classes made my eyes glaze over. Good Luck. sounds very interesting.

Tiggerrn PD for your car problems. Hope it gets fixed fast. sounds like you had to waste a lot of time running around to get the paperwork done.

Like Tigerrn said " Hersey, don't you love how the teachers wait til all the sales are over to tell you they want more supplies than what was originally on the list?" Oh that is so true... just when they are off sale .. the teachers send home a note that they need one more thing..

gotta work for a bit.. be back..

Slo Alex will miss a week of school and school pictures. Hopefully given advance notice he can make up what he misses.

Tig The service station should pay up

The "stuff" on Alex's list has cost me so far around $70.00 and I had some of the stuff leftover from last year. I haven't even gone clothes shopping yet.

Morning! Tig, that really stinks!! I hope they get everything squared away!! Sal is giving me the eye to start helping him in the garage, so I better go....soon ;)

Sals been painting my toes lately and I think i'm ready for the real thing! :lmao:

Morning all. Day is brighter already. Nice outside and the sun is shining. Cleaning house and picking up and :laundy: . Getting things ready for tonight.

DMM good luck with the garage sale. I hope you make lots of $$$ and get rid of all your stuff.

Just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello. I really need to get my buns moving. Have a great day all.

Just got back from the library, where we returned the most annoying movie ever! ELMO in grouchland!! AUGHH!! i wanted to reach through the TV and throttle half the characters in that movie!! :sad2: :lmao:

Have a good one everyone!

Hi all!!!

Busy, busy day here today!! Left early am and just came back a while ago. Need to do some quick cleaning before we need to leave again. Hunter has his Kindergarten check up today at the pediatrician. He's so not going to be happy later after he gets his shots!!! :sad1:

Got the new car pimped some more this morning.

Picked up one of those giant cookies from Jewel this morning too. We special ordered it the other day. It says HSM2 on it!!! It came out great!! They put little decorative HSM picks on it that have pictures of the cast on them! A cool surprise!! :thumbsup2

Crissup The Pacifica does have a lot of room in it! I love all these crossover cars they have out now! I really like how the Pacifica is higher off the ground then a normal car and much more roomier too.
Glad to see there are other Mopar lover here! :thumbsup2

DMM My kids love Elmo in Grouchland!!!! :rotfl:

tiggerrn Sorry to hear your minivan got scratched!!! :sad2: Let's hope the shop quits trying to place the blame elsewhere!!!

slo I have nice clothes.....that I just don't wear!!!

Sam So now we can drag race down Rt 6!!!! VROOOMMM!!!
J/K!!! ;) It was a hard choice to make between the cars I liked, but the Pacifica won out!! :goodvibes
I have to remember and learn that the Pacifica is much peppier and lighter than my conversion van!!! So far today I 'burned rubber' 3 times!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: Of course the kids love it when that happens!! :rolleyes1

Geffric Another Dodge lover....YAY!! :yay:

Everyone having an HSM2 party tonight, I hope you all have a great time!!! :woohoo: :cheer2:

Gotta run!!!! Next up, the speed cleaning event!! :)

Thanks, everyone :goodvibes

Well, my friend and I are flying into Marrakech, Morocco and then making our way up to Madrid via train, with stops in Grenada and Seville, Spain. Then we'll fly home from Madrid to Chicago. It's a 12 day trip. So far we have NO hotels or anything booked :scared1: So I need to get a move on that. My friend and I went to a nice little Moroccan restaurant here in the city and the owner was awesome. He sat with us while we ate and had lots of advice and tips! I think I may go back there before we leave - get some contact info or something, for family he has there - hey, you never know if we may need it!

Thanks, everyone :goodvibes

I am so envious right now.:lmao:

Hope you have a wonderful time, filled with beautiful memories.:flower3:
:cheer2:

Jedi, sounds like so much fun!!!

WE did great at our sale today, can't wait for tomorrow, which is a huge sale day!!! :yay:

OK. My 2 cents, HSM 2 was good, but I think I enjoyed the first one better. I still have a few girls here watching Hannah Montana. Party was fun, but I think the girls had more fun dancing and singing than watching the show.
Later

I'll take your 2 cents Tiggerrn and add mine to it!! :)

HSM2 was good, but HSM1 was better IMO.
As soon as it ended 2 girls here said it was boring and at the same time the other 2 said they liked the first one better. The most exciting part for the girls here was waiting for Troy and Gabriella to kiss!

The girls had more fun dancing and singing with the blow up microphones we gave them and getting HSM tattoos and playing games during the movie.
And they ate a ton of food all night long.
They had Pizza Hut pizza and bread sticks. Then mixed up their own trail mix with popcorn, pretzels and M & M's. Then later they had the giant cookie we ordered, chocolate cake and ice cream!!!!! :faint:

I cut them short on watching 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'.
Right now I'm waiting for the last of them to fall asleep......so then I can crash too!! :)

Tomorrow morning I am making them Mickey Waffles, bacon, sausage and strawberries and grapes.

I cut them short on watching 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'.
Right now I'm waiting for the last of them to fall asleep......so then I can crash too!! :)

Good Luck with that! I just went and checked on my sleep-over crew and they are still up.

I'll add the same 2 cents. I liked the first one better. DD liked this one though & so did her friend. I'm sure we will be getting the DVD & CD eventually but I'm not compelled to watch it again.

We don't have a whole lot for breakfast here for tomorrow. :scared1: We ran out of time today so we have bagels & I think I have eggs. Then again, DD's friend is going home at 10:30 and I'm not 100% convinced they are even going to be UP for breakfast before that time since DD told me "we don't plan on sleeping" -- my hunch is they will eventually fall over (or at least DD will since we had to get up early today).

Here's my opinion on HSM2........
I liked the story of the 1st one better, but I really enjoyed the coreography (sp?) of this one more - I thought the dancing was great!!!!!:thumbsup2 As a whole, I like the music in the first one more, but I really like that song "What Time is it?" from the 2nd one. They've been playing the HSM2 songs on Radio Disney for quite some time now, and I often have a hard time getting that one song out of my head

Question.......
Did and of you see Miley Cyrus at the end of the movie? She was on the mountain by the pool dancing. Stephanie noticed her right away, and then we watched the credits to see if she was right, and sure enough, there was her name. What good eyes she has :3dglasses

geffric - Have a great dinner at Weber Grill tomorrow - I love it there!!! :goodvibes

HERSEY - Stephanie always missed a week in September too, but from now on we can't go in September because she has state testing that they do, and prepare for ahead of time. It bums me out, because we really like September. I'm sure Alex will have no problem making up work, and hopefully some of his teachers will give him some work to take with. :teacher:

DMM - That's great about having a successful garage sale yesterday. Here's some PD for continued business today:wizard:

Tiggerrrnnnnn - I'm glad you were having a better day yesterday :) How long will it be until you get your van back?

Bunchkin - How did Hunter do with his shots? Many hugs to him
**Sounds like you had an awesome menu for those girls last night - I bet they loved it!!! :goodvibes

Jedi - Your trip sounds like it's going to be so much fun:cool1: I can hardly wait to see your pictures when you come back.

Becky - Did your DD and her friend ever fall asleep?

I"m glad that all of you had successful HSM2 parties :cool1: I'm sure you made some wonderful memories for your girls and their friends :goodvibes

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Are any of you going to the Air and Water Show today or tomorrow? We've never gone, but I would like to someday.
Have a good day today!!!

Good saturday morning all. Just trying to get inthe swing of posting on the chicago dis. A few asked about our disney trip we had two weeks ago. It was good, hot, but good. Crowds were at mk heavy but not bad in epcot. We would go later in the am and stay for a while then come back at night. Wasn't bad. Stayed up to 1 at mk. They were open to 3 but too tired. We were upgraded to ssr for a 2 bedroom villa with kitchen family room and washer and dryer. Very nice. The res. lady gave it to us for 120 a night. I thought that was great. We did this vacation very relaxed instead of trying to run around doing everything. Much better. Hope everyone is well. Is everyone getting ready for school? Us too.

Good morning everyone! I looks like it's going to be cloudy today.

I didn't watch HM last night I'll wait for Alex to get home to watch it. He is on a road trip with his dad. They went to a state fair the other day and Alex thought he saw the coolest thing, pork chop on a stick.:rotfl: That kid really needs to get out more.

Slo I've been to the Air and Water show it's pretty crowded but cool. The jets my fav.

Bunchkin you throw quite an slumber party. Except I'm not crazy about pizza hut. I had not mickey, waffles this morning.

Who said they bought those mickey hamburgers? Were they good?

Morning all.
Slo, Kellie and I both saw Miley Cyrus at the end. Her friends were too busy jumping and dancing and when Kellie said there's Miley Cyrus they were all screaming and then looking for her, but didn't see her again.
I was looking to call Ticketmaster this morning for the Hannah Montana tickets, but it doesn't look like the Dec. tickets will be on sale yet. I saw the ones listed for October in Moline, but they stop before getting to the Allstate Arena concert.
The van isn't at the shop yet. Waiting for parts for the body work to be done. And for the check engine light, one of our friends that is a mechanic, promised he would look at it for me this week.
Hope everyone survived their sleepovers last night. Well, better get the day started. Have a good weekend everyone.

"Crissup, now that you've caught up on all the posts on the Chicago thread, what are you gonna do now?"

I'm going to Disneyland!!

I've got a business trip to California for next week, through the weekend. So, we booked Carol a last minute trip on the same place using AA miles and we're going to stay three extra nights afterwards in Disneyland!

Our trips to Disneyland tend to be short, so we've really yet to spend "quality" time in the park and really enjoy things. I mean, we have a great time there, we just haven't done many of the rides yet. So, I'm hoping this trip, we'll catch more of the rides. Otherwise, it's always great just sitting around and taking in the surroundings. And, of course, a few very good friends from the DIS live out that way, so we usually try and hook up for lunch or something.
