Today is Stephanie's first day of school, which means I start getting up earlier  I was really dreading this day - I was really enjoying Stephanie being off school. The thought about fighting to study and do homework doesn't do much for me :sad2: Hopefully, since she'll be at the store after school everyday, she'll do her homework easier than if she was at home.

Today is also Katie's 4th birthday :goodvibes I feel sad that I can't take her out to lunch today (I've always taken the kids out to lunch on their birthday), but we'll take her out for ice cream tonight instead:) My mom got her donuts yesterday (so I didn't have to go last night) for her to take to school today - she is excited about that!!!! Then I also have some more presents to give her tonight.
She should have a good day today!!! :dance3:

I fell asleep in front of the tv last night, and when I got up, I forgot to set the DVR for Fat March. For anyone that watched it, would you please sum up last nights show so I'm caught up on what is going on - thanks!!!!!!

Leigh - I love Dole Whips :goodvibes That pin though is costly

Debbie - You wouldn't want any computer help from me :scared1: Kevin says I'm a human magnet, and I eventually destroy all computers I come in contact with. Normally that would hurt my feelings - but he's right!!!:rotfl2:

Tttigernn - Thanks for Katie's birthday wish!! :goodvibes
**Good luck tomorrow with getting the kids tonsils out (that luck is for them and you :wizard: :wizard: ). What time do you go in? When Stephanie had her surgeries, they were very very early in the morning - like 6am:eek: What hospital are you going to be at? I'm sure everything will go well, it did for Steph, but please please keep us posted so we know how they are doing. Hugs to both Kellie and Kyle

Bunchkin - Does Lauren have her first day of school outfit picked out yet? Stephanie didn't until yesterday - she's wearing a dress today :cutie:

Well, I gotta start thinking about getting Stephanie up for school :teacher: Today will be easy, tomorrow may still be easy, but Thursday she'll be tired of getting up and won't want to do it anymore:rolleyes: Oh the joys of school starting :sad2:

Have a good day today!!!

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY KATIE!!! HOPE YOU HAVE A MAGICAL DAY!!

Good rainy morning everyone!!

slo Good luck to Steph on her first day of school! It's no fun trying to get the kids back into the groove of going back to school. Lauren has to get up a lot earlier this year as the middle schools start an hour earlier than the elementary. I can't wait to see how she manages after a couple days.
I'm not sure if Lauren has an outfit in mind to wear tomorrow. I will be asking her though shortly what she plans of wearing. Probably a dress or skirt I'm guessing. Hunter on the other hand is much easier. He's wearing a new Little Einstein outfit I bought him.
My big problem for tomorrow morning is getting Hunter up early enough to take Lauren to school on her first day, which is a tradition for us. I help her bring all her stuff in. Then I have to be at Hunter's school within the hour for his orientation.
I hope Katie enjoys sharing Krispy Kremes with her class!! :thumbsup2

Fat March:
They walked through part of CT and on to NY. Went to Times Square. Lots of angst between Matt and Will and Anthony. Wendy quit and walked off. She was complaining the whole show of wanting to quit and so she did. She had also collapsed earlier in the show from dehydration and needed medical help. She was fine the day after that, but the following day she quit. It made everyone mad. Matt was having problems with his knee. Not sure how long he'll be able to continue. And he only lost 1 pound.
No one was voted off!

:sad1: Good Morning all,

Well, I am back from WDW and I am sorry to report the trip did not go as well as it normally does.

I had issues with the dining plan, bad transportation service and even having my foot run over by a ECV.

The best was the pirate and princess party. I have not uploaded my pictures yet but will post as soon as I do.

It was very hot and very crowded. I know never to go in August again and I'm looking forward to November. I will be staying in the Animal Kingdom Villas for my birthday and finally I will be able to see the Christmas party and all the lights.

DS stated Junior High yesterday. I can remember when he started Kindergarden and now he is in Jr high. I got a little teary eyed. He looked so little walking into that big school.

I need to get some work done.

Happy Birthday to those I missed.

Happy Birthday Katie!! The Big 4!!

Well, it's the last day of summer break and Megan is here with me downtown today. I think we may grab a cab up to the AG Place after work and get a back to school outfit for Nicki. We'll see ;)

Megan is happy about going back to school, not overjoyed, but she's okay with it. She's going to take the bus tomorrow and then it's off to Ivy League for another try at that this year.

Tiggerrn: I hope the kids recover quickly from their surgeries. I know you are fully stocked on freeze pops and ice cream right. Lots of comic books and some good movies will also be necessary. I'm sure they are not looking forward to this at all huh, but in the long they will be better off.

I'm really getting sick of this rainy HUMID weather! I can't stand it! If I wanted to live in New Orleans or Florida, I would!! I can't believe I have to put up with this frizzy hair and sticky skin for the next five days! I feel like I'm in Florida!! And the fog... sheesh, thick as pea soup!

Have a good day everyone!

:surfweb:

Good evening everyone. Thanks for all the well wishes for the kids from all of you. We all apprecieate you thinking of us. We have to be at the hospital by 6:30AM.

Sam, I have a freezer full. Off to the video store when DH returns from his run to get some new movies, and then to the store quick for some Jell-O. Thought I had a few boxes, but can't find them in the pantry now. :confused3
Good luck to all the kids heading off to school tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day!!!:wizard: Learn lots. :teacher:

Bunchkin and Hersey, love your birthday wishes. Some of you are very talented with your graphics. Not me.:rolleyes1

Well, better run. Need to get to the stores quick.

Will check in tomorrow night if all goes well and we get home early.

Tiggerrn Don't you love those early times they make you come in for surgery!! You know you'll be there a while before anything really happens! But like I really need to tell YOU that!!! :rotfl:
Keeping good thoughts for both the kids!!! :goodvibes

Question for everyone:

Are your kids like this??

So the past few nights when the kids were put to bed early in preparing them for the start of school tomorrow, eventually they each come out of their rooms asking for this and that. And it's usually the same this or that each night. All summer long we don't have this problem. It's only when school starts back up. And actually this will go on sporadically through out the year. But as soon as it's a weekend, holiday breaks or summer vacation they have no problem staying in their beds.

Right now it's appox. 15 minutes and counting since they were tucked in.

I'm just sitting here waiting to see who will be the first to appear!! :rolleyes1

Tony took the day off of work tomorrow so he can help get the kids to school. :smooth:
We both took Lauren to her first day of Kindergarten. And we will both take Hunter tomorrow. It is orientation day and the parents get to stay. It's only for an hour or so. And then Thurs will be the actual first full day.
I will take Lauren to school tomorrow and help bring all her stuff in for her. She has tons!!! The only thing I am actually worried about is the parking!! This is our first time at this school building and you know how people freak out if you don't follow the drop off/ pick up routes correctly!!! :rotfl2:

Ok the winner is..........................

Hunter!

He just came out a bit ago and asked me to sing him a lullaby!

:rotfl:

tiiggeerrrnnnnnn, wishing you a smooth day tomorrow and a speedy recovery for the kids.

you're in my prayers and thoughts.

Bunchkin Tell Hunter Happy first day of school

Thanks Hersey!! I think he is a bit nervous. I just cannot believe he's going to kindergarten tomorrow. :sad1:
What am I going to do with myself now?? :rotfl:

(I like that school smiley. I don't think I've seen that one before.)

Hunter also loaded his bed with stuffed buddies tonight.
There is a Woody & Buzz, a Webkinz polar bear, a penguin, Cookie Monster, a bear from IKEA, a Guido from the Cars movie. I think that's all of them!!!

Came back to edit: There is a Mickey Mouse in the bed too!

Bunchkin- I out the kids in bed early on Sun., in preparation for Wed.'s early wake up. He got out of bed so many times! He was a horrible grouch the next day! Last night, he was exhausted, so he fell right asleep!
Tiggerrn2- Hope all goes well and the kids are on their feet soon.
Disneynut- Too bad your trip was not so great. we went this time last year, and did not find it too crowded, but it was beyond hot...like walking on the surface of the sun!

School tomorrow!!!!:cool1: The kids are excited, especially dd! Ds wanted to wear a shirt with a desk on the front that says "Ancient Torture Device". I told him not on the first day! It is only a few hours, which I will fill with errands. Fun!
My exciting news of the day is that I am getting a new car! It is an older, used Saturn, but in great condition with low miles. I am getting Monday!

Thanks to all that gave happy birthday wishes to Katie yesterday. I showed them to her and she did this :goodvibes :teeth:. She was really really into her birthday this year.

Stephanie's first day went well, and she really loves her new teacher :goodvibes Apparently this teacher told the kids she doesn't give a lot of homework - we'll see about that  I don't know if I believe it - but I could be proven wrong

Bunchkin - Thanks for the recap on Fat March, now I'm all caught up :thumbsup2
**To answer your question about kids going to bed. Katie is great, she goes in, and she stays in :thumbsup2 Stephanie, on the other hand, can be terrible:mad: I told her 2 nights ago that for every time she gets out of bed, I'm taking a ticket (a chore she did to earn money) out of her envelope, and she won't get paid for it. I told her "don't test me!!!!" So far, we've gone 2 nights now w/o her getting out of bed for ridiculous reasons, and I'm hoping this continues (fingers crossed).
**Good luck to both Lauren and Hunter today :wizard: :wizard: I'm sure they'll have a great first day of school. Good luck to you too  I'm sure watching Hunter start kindergarten will be a very bittersweet moment for both you and Tony :grouphug:

Disneynut - I"m so sorry your trip was a bummer:guilty: I hope you were able to have some good times, and were able to take some great pictures.

Sam - Good luck to Megan starting school today :wizard: I'm sure she'll have a great first day too. Did you get to AG Place yesterday? If so, what did Megan get??

Tigggggggern - I"m thinking of you  It's 6:21am and you are on your way to the hospital or already there. This is really bringing back some memories for when Stephanie had her tonsils out, and luckily, none of them are bad. She had a smooth surgery, and a smooth recovery. Please please let us know how the kids are doing later - many hugs to them!!!:grouphug:

paint - Congrats on the new car :car: How exciting!!!! :woohoo:

Mac and HERSEY - :wave2:

Well, I'm off to get into the shower and start my day
I have a lot to do at work, and I'm starting to feel the pressure of not having an experienced hand to help me with it. But, I'm not complaining, because I'm so grateful to be having a good August at the store :thumbsup2

Have a good day today everyone!!!
