OOO! I love those parties! I have too much of that stuff in my house. Hope you have fun.:thumbsup2

Debbie So how is 40 treating you. I thought 40 was definitely easier than 30. Use sunscreen if your going to be out.

Slo How was day three at your store? I wish you much success.

Hi Everyone,
I have started to finally upload all my pix. Geez it takes a lot of time.. What a great couple of days in WDW! I will be back with a full mini TR when I have time to sit and type. I have decided I am going to get a laptop so I can bring my computer outside. I have been so busy! I feel like I was gone for a month but already feel like I have been back for a month! It’s crazy!
To be honest 40 is fine. Not bothering me at all but I guess it's cause I am in a happy place in my life right now. I am a very like girl!

My favorite place in the whole world!!!

Me too. ;)

Kim - Thanks for the PD for more orders:) I did take one order yesterday, and someone came in inquiring if I could fix his picture with broken glass - so I'm hoping he brings that in this week (fingers crossed)
**If it makes you feel any better, Stephanie is constantly telling me "I"m bored" all the time too:headache: It does get really annoying!! ::yes::
YES, thank you! Sorry also that YOU'RE hearing it as well tho! :headache: She is CONSUMED now with finding Father's Day projects and crafts and I just want to clean house, go grocery shopping, etc. She IS quite independent with this stuff tho, IF I log her on to 'friendly' websites. ;) But then, the ACTUAL crafts/meals/cupcakes she wants to create - :scared1: NOT gonna happen!!!!!!! :guilty:

Editing this to say -- figured out what the news was all about here in Geneva.

I've also decided I *really, really, really* live under a rock. It was for the fake notice about a guy being a sex offender. The thing is we never got that in the mail, so apparently all of us on "this" side of the road didn't need the information if it had been true. Probably just cost too much postage to someone who has a grudge since there are a lot more houses on this side than the area he lives on.

It's quite scary what people can do to ruin people's lives though doesn't take much.
It's HORRIBLE, DEPLORABLE what happened to that man!

I hope you ALL have a GREAT rest-of-the-week!!! Sounds like everything's the same, weather-wise around here, for several days to come! :thumbsup2 We could USE some rain tho - overnight of course. ;)

 ALL!!!!!!!!!

Day 3 at the store went well. I had only one order, but that's okay. I had 2 walk-ins, so that was good. One came with her picture and said that she was "almost postive" that she will be bringing it back. So, I'll keep my fingers crossed for that. Kevin and I had a bet about how many customers I'll have this week. I said zero (I know, not very postitive of me) and he said 10. I am so far at 5, so I'm almost half-way to what Kevin said. I had a coupon in the paper yesterday, today, and then again on Saturday and Wednesday - so I'm hoping to see some of those trickle in soon.

Bunchkin - How was the Rat???:rotfl: (I laughed when I saw you call it that). Stephanie's been wanting to go back there, but it's no where close to our house, so it's never convienent for us.
**I'm glad Lauren is feeling better after getting kicked in the chest. Does she have a bruise?
**How was the Tastfully Simple Party? I've never been to one, but I do have some of their items in my cabinet - like Bacon Bacon, we love that stuff!!!

Becky - Congrats on the new tag!!!! :cheer2: That's awesome!!! :yay:
**I can't believe someone would do that to someone:eek: How how sad!!!

Sam - :wave2:

HERSEY - Thanks!!! :goodvibes

Debbie - I'm glad that 40 isn't feeling to bad :) I love your castle picture - I have one taken in about the same location. Did you take that from the Crystal Palace?

Kim - Are there any summer programs in your town that you could sign Kelly up for? That's the one nice thing about daycare (summercamp is what the daycare calls the program for older kids) is that they do all those craft projects with the kids there. I'm not real crafty, so I don't do many projects at home. If there are some programs in your town, like my town, Kelly may really enjoy them (then she'll be bored when she gets home like Stephanie  but at least she won't be bored for a couple of hours).

Well, I gotta run and get some things done before I go
Have a good day today everyone!!

Good thursday morning. We're keeping busy this summer. My son started t-ball on monday. It's so much fun to watch the little guys. We signed up at the library for the reading program. Our neighbors have a pool. That has been great.Well my husband has been so busy at work. As it stands now he is going to miss the first four days of our disney trip and may have to miss it all together. I pray not because he really needs this.:wizard: :wizard: Well youngest is up so check in later.:laundy:

Becky - Congrats on the new tag!!!! :cheer2: That's awesome!!! :yay:
**I can't believe someone would do that to someone:eek: How how sad!!!

I know & the sad part is, I'm sure even with the police, everyone saying it's not true, he has no record, nothing. Now that it's been out on a piece of paper, there will be people who believe it no matter what.

Here's my "hunch" on who did it but have absolutely no proof, just with my guess of human nature. He's a realtor, so, my guess is someone had a closing/real estate deal/got into a house & found something they didn't like, etc... got ticked off and decided to do a smear campaign.

Nothing surprises me anymore though on what people are willing to do.

We are off to the Museum of Science & Industry this morning.

I have decided I am going to get a laptop so I can bring my computer outside.

Unfortunately, I find that I can never see my laptop screen when I'm out in the sun. In fact, the last time I tried, I wasn't even sure the laptop had booted. I had to carry it into the house to see if it had or not.

I sometimes have this same problem with the little LCD displays on cameras in the sun (which is one reason I prefer optical view finders).

Glad that i am not the only one who can't see screens in the sunlight.. I watch people view their screens on the camera and have always figured that i was doing somthing wrong.

Morning... I am back.. and Star Wars Weekend was super..

It started off as a reward trip for my oldest son. he has really worked very hard in school this year. School is always a struggle for him and he really studied, focused, and studied all year. Plus he finished his Eagle project.. not an Eagle yet.as he has to write up his project and get it approved which will take him about a year or more.... Anyway I wanted to do something special for him.. he turned down lots of times when he could go with the other guys 'cause he needed to keep studying. His brother tormented him all year 'cause he studied all the time anyway, whatever his grades, he gave it his best plus some;; so i wanted to take him away after finals and do something special for him..

so we went to STAR WARS WEEKEND.

We left on Friday as soon as he got home from his last final.. I had cashed in frequent flyer miles for free tickets so we were going from Chicago to NY to Tampa to Orlando.. a bit of a long way around but we were going to get to go to STAR Wars Weekend..

We tried to get on an earlier flight but they were all full.. we were waiting for our NY flight when they announced that our flight was canceled.. WHAT?? So I called the 800 # they were giving out and they got us on a flight to St Louis to Orlando.. Pixie Dust was flying.. we were to arrive at MCO 3 hours sooner than originally planned..

Well the event was well worth it.. We really enjoyed the special star wars stuff.. We saw the actor that played Darth Maul.. he was super..

the Legends of the Force was okay.. but the Star War Talk at 1:00 was great and the storm trooper opening skit was FUNNY.. At Six pm, we saw the Dart Maul talk and demo.. was great and at 7:00 pm the Star Wars Hoopla was wonderful the characters were so close ... Sad that we weren't into autographs..

The parade was wonderful and lots of star wars characters.. we didn't see more than a dozen people or so dressed up.. once I unload my pic I post some pictures..

We didn't eat anywhere WoNDERFUL but we did go to Beaches and Cream twice.. both times we talked about eating food there but at the last minute decided to eat dessert first. .. 3 scoops of ice cream later we never did eat food...

this is definetley something that is worth doing and I will go again..

Morning all. Have caught up on the posts. Still in PJs here. DD in her swim suit and ready to head out after I get the cover off the pool and put the ladder in. We also need to get to the library and sign up for the summer read.
Bunchkin, I didn't check the computer before we left, so wasn't sure if you were there or not and then didn't bring purse which had #s in it. Kept checking my phone  By 2 I figured you hadn't made it. We had a beautiful day!!! First time I actually made it all around the zoo. Stingrays were neat. Although my kids had "done that better" in Sea World. My 2 great nieces thought it was neat. (They've never been to Sea World.) The walls are up a little tall for the smaller kids however, making it difficult for them to actually get to touch one of the stingrays. The cicadas are all over the zoo area. The noise was incredible. There is a building in the African Savannah called something BOMA, and we went in there to see what it was. It smelled exactly like the AKL. When we walked in I asked DD "What do you smell?" Right away she said "Our Lodge!!!" And just out the windows you could see all the giraffes. Pretty cool! We closed the zoo. I was hoping traffic home would be cleared somewhat by then. NOT!! Still a long drive home in traffic. At least there were no accidents.
Becky, have fun at the museum today. We are going to the Shedd tomorrow and then taking the trolley to Navy Pier. Glad these days have all been so nice and sunny. My niece and her husband are getting a nice visit here.
Slo, :wizard: hoping you get some more orders soon.
Welcome back Deb and geffric. Looking forward to seeing those pix.
Sam, happy packing. Enjoy your vacation.
Everyone else  Need to catch up :laundy: today and clean up some of the stuff kids brought home last day of school. So many wasted trees. DH birthday was the 12th, so have that mess to pick up as well. Wish he'd tried on those summer clothes so I knew if I could wash them or not.:rolleyes1 He needed a new summer wardrobe as badly as I did.:scared1: Gonna hate to see this cc bill. Has our plane tickets on it too.:scared1: :scared1:
Later

Howdy!! :wave2:

Tastefully Simple party was excellent! YUM-O!!! Not a lot of people showed up but it was still a fun time!!
Bought waaayyyy too much!! ;) :rotfl:

slo I hope you get those 5 more customers this week!!!
The "RAT" was a hit with the kids, but I hate that place!! Too noisy for me!!
I don't think Lauren has a mark on her chest, or at least she's not showing it to me. She's at that age where she "needs her privacy"!!

Hersey Didn't get the Bacon, Bacon yet!!! They didn't serve it at the party so I just HAD to buy some to finally taste it!!
If I remember right you didn't use it, you had some other brand??

Tiggerrn I should have called you. Sorry!!!!!!! We'll have to meet up another time! Glad you had a good time! Have fun at the Shedd & Navy Pier tomorrow!!!

Becky That's just the craziest story I've heard!! How horrible!!

Debbie Great picture!!!

Geffric Sounds like you lucked out on the flight down to MCO!!!
Glad you had a great time!!

Kim Lauren is a craft junky too!!!! :rotfl:

Gotta run!!!
TTFN!!!:tigger:

Megan went to the zoo today and she is PETRIFIED by cicadas. She is not going to have a good day! I almost feel like hopping in a cab and going out there to rescue her. I know she's going to be a basket case! I knew the cicadas were there, I hoped it wouldn't be too bad!

This is going to be a long difficult evening, I can see it coming!

Did you warn Megan about the cicadas??
Maybe she'll see other kids reacting fine to them and she'll be ok!!! :goodvibes

Actually, seeing how she reacts to them, I thought it might be best not to tell her otherwise she would OBSESS about it until she actually got there and possibly make it worse than it really is. But, a counselor at school mentioned it as we walked in this morning and Megan promptly started crying. We had seen a dead one in the parking lot this morning and she freaked at that! There are plenty of cicadas around LW Central!: sad2:

Bunchkin- I love Tastefully Simple parties. It is fun to sample all of their yummy stuff. How is the CEC in Joliet? We haven't been there yet. DD is terrified on the rat! Mickey is okay, though!
Tiggerrn- Enjoy the pool! We had one growing up and I remember sleeping in my suit! We got a simple set pool for the kids at the new house. Nothing major, but they'll enjoy it. We also have one of those huge water slides. Lots of things to kill the grass, much to the dismay of dbf!
Sam- The cicadas are horrible out there. We were in Orland yesterday and they were divebombing us. I put my hood up (I get cold in the mall!) and my mom said I looked like the unabomber!
Slo- I think we are going to go to Dixie Kitchen in Lansing for lunch, go to the outlet mall, and then meet back in Merrillville/Scherriville. I know they have every chain place known to man out there. Is there anything particularly good?
Well, today is dd's actual bday, although she has had several celebrations and is having yet another party at her dad's this weekend. Her birthday is lasting over a week!
I did a little more packing, but I am a total last minute packer. I can't help it!

For all you cicada lovers, I just read my email from Brookfield zoo. The cicada's are coming to a peak this weekend. Oh, so soon :rotfl2: I personally wish they were already gone.;)

Paint water slides are fun,but they are not grass friendly.

SUPER COOL move!!!!!!

I was hoping traffic home would be cleared somewhat by then. NOT!! Still a long drive home in traffic. At least there were no accidents.

Tell me about the traffic. I know Chicago traffic is bad normally but this was just crazy today. We left the Museum at about 3:30ish and we did finally made it to the Cracker Barrel in Naperville at about 5!!! We pretty much went 30 mph the entire way and that was when we could actually get some speed. :scared1: Although watching the traffic headed into the city at that time was just as backed up!!! Huh? What in the world is this traffic with both sides being jammed packed. I know it's was probably rush hour time but WOW! I don't think I've ever had it where it doesn't seem to open up once we get farther away from the city.

We did hear the cicada's since we had our windows open and saw some flying around actually (at least we *think* that was what those big bugs were that we would see occasionally fly around! :lmao: From the pictures I saw and the what I could tell it appeared to be them.) I've never actually SEEN one up close & personal though.

It was a long day though but the kids had fun, I think anyway. Going with some friends we had a few fights between the kids and some melt-downs but I think overall they had fun.
