Hi.again... I will be going during" Gay days" and there is a schedule for it. You just avoid the park they are at for that scheduled day. My feeling is the other parks might then be LESS crowded. Like the day we are going to MK all day the "Gay days" powers that be have scheduled Epcot I think so I then think that MK might be fine. KWIM?????

Yes, that's true....I *briefly* talked to DH about it when he called to tell me he's on his way home. He told me if I could do it IN CASH then we could go. He doesn't think I can do it -- Ha! He doesn't know what a little motivation (and knowing our expected tax refund $) can do. :rotfl2:

The only bad thing is he will want to go on the Premium plan again and I honestly don't think we NEED to do that plan. If you read my trip report we were going around like insane people (had a great time but we were still going around like insane people). IF we don't do that plan, I can easily do it cheap enough and probably still do everything he wants to do & come out ahead. Of course the plans for 2008 aren't out yet, so don't know if they will change them or ???

Thinking, thinking, figuring, plotting, planning -- ah I'm in my element -- more stuff to procrastinate cleaning.

OH SHOOT...I just realized DD's state meet will probably be that first Saturday/Sunday of June for gymnastics. I guess she could skip it (even though that's when they recognize the 8th graders) -- the mouse is calling, that's so much more important ;)

I can always tentatively plan and I will know the schedule in September.

Becky2005 maybe call the school and find out about any raduation type things for 2008. Eric is graduating 8th grade this year and then have a dance, fun day at GameWorks and then graduation on June 6th.

I'm so happy!!!! DH caved! He gave me my Mother's Day/Anniversary/Birthday surprise today.

That was, of course, after I reminded him on the phone that today was our anniversary. To which he replied -- It is? We didn't get married on a a Friday

Yes, I married a goof! But he's a good goof! After dinner, he gave me MY RING!!! He went and got the ring that I oh, so, not so subtly hinted at (hey, everything I have read said don't be subtle with guys, just flat out tell them...so I did!) I knew he would get it even though he tried to pretend he wouldn't!! (or was pretty sure anyway!) :goodvibes

I think I'll keep him for a few more years! ;)

Congrats! You deserve it! :yay: You're a good wife and Mom!!!!:cloud9:

Becky2005 :thumbsup2 On getting the ring. I agree you have to tell them straight out what you want. I used to drop hints around all the time my ex never picked up on them.

Evening and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!:yay: :yay:

It has been a busy week at work and haven't had a chance to hop online in the evening.

Tomorrow BACK to Milwaukee to pick up more off college DD STUFF:rotfl: :rotfl: The big move back is this coming Friday. Let the INVASION begin!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

What is everyone doing for Mother's Day? Both DDs will be gone:sad2: :sad2: My mother and MIL will come over for a bbq and it makes for a looooooooooong afternoon. I don't have a good relationship with my Mom - could write a book on it. And my MIL who is a very very good person will sit stone slient - that leaves me to play 20 questions and dodge my mother's criticism. Mother's Day has never been a great day.......will get through it with humor and ..............:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Becky2005 - Congrats on all the celebrating!!! Yes, I used to have to hit my DH on the head with hints. Now he has the DDs shop and that is GREAT:thumbsup2 Also regarding middle school........are you sure they don't have a graduation. The last week or so are filled with graduation festivites culminating in a graduation ceremony at the high school. Hope this all works out for you :goodvibes :goodvibes

Off to get ready for the weekend.........

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

I don't have any plans, since DH already told me to remember that this gift is Mother's day one. :rotfl2: The kids already gave me theirs that they do in school -- am I the only one who feels Father's get jipped on that? My kids always do stuff for Mother's day in school but since school isn't in session for Father's day, they get zilch! I will say when my 1st grader was in preschool was great, the last week of preschool, they had the kids make a Father's day craft. My kids already let me open my stuff too. I got a flower pot full of chocolate from my 4th grader, a flower pot of construction paper flowers from my 1st grader & DD was required to write me a letter that she mailed in Language Arts! It came in the mail today! Explains why she was required to bring in an envelope & stamp! The funniest part was when I checked the mail today I had no idea who was sending me this letter! I knew it was a younger handwriting but didn't recognize it. :scared1: until I opened it & saw the rest of the printing. Then I recognized the envelope since I had made a special trip to the post office & got an pre-stamped envelope. :lmao: It was a thank you for all you do type letter.

As for the graduation, my 4th grader's friend has an older brother who is in
9th grade so last year he was in 8th. I do remember asking his mom since we never had an 8th grade graduation, just a dance when I was in Junior High. Poohlovermom will know too for this year. ;)

Howdy all!!!

Hunter's graduation was short and sweet!!! :goodvibes
He was so cute!! They sang a few songs and he really sang loud and proud!! :goodvibes What a cutie he was!!

I bought him a cake today and got his favorite cookies from an awesome bakery near by. And dad brought home a few helium balloons for him.
I slipped Hunter a little $$ in a card we got him, which of course he thought was totally cool. But when he opened the card from his sister he said "Hey, no money in this card!". :lmao: :rotfl: Kids!!! :lmao: ;)

Debbie I liked your thread you started!! :teeth:
Back in the day, threads asked with those types of 'flammable questions' didn't get nearly such a beat down like they do know a days. :sad2:
But they are entertaining if nothing else!!! :dance3:

SamIAm Hunter just loves Haunted Mansion!!! And the cool Haunted Mansion cd I bought while at Disneyland is his favorite!!! We listened to it for days on end after we first bought it!!!

Tiggerrn Glad to hear Kellie did well in the ballet!! I'm sure all the kids at school enjoyed watching it too. :)

Chrismiss Have a safe trip up to Milwaukee!! ;)

Becky Congrats to you on getting the ring you wanted!!
Happy Anniversary too!! :yay:

Gotta run! Have a nice night all!!! :wave2:

Bunchkin, I'll bet Hunter was really cute!!! I loved those preschool graduations. The kids are so funny to watch.
I'm pooped so just catching up my reading. Night all.

I'm just stopping in to tuck everyone in :goodvibes

This is some serious late night posting for me - I'm rarely on this late:rolleyes:

I was checking my email, and I naturally had to stop in here :teeth:

But now I must say "goodnight!!"

Yeah! Good saturday morning. I'm the first to post.Don't know if it's go to be up this early on Saturday. I was up at 3:30am yesterday:scared1: This is a little better.I wanted to reply to some quotes be cann't figure it out:surfweb: Can anyone help?

Becky2005 Eighth grade graduation is a big deal. They have some sort of a ceremony a day or two before the last day. They allow each family TWO tickets so I guess I'll have to get a sitter for the little ones. The last day of school (only one hour ) they aren't required to go. Big deal right. We currently have FIVE dresses. I told dd that four will have to go back unless of course she wants to change every ten minutes during the ceremony:snooty: I think she is considering this:rolleyes:

I hit my garage sales yesterday. Only spent seven dollars. Not bad for what I got.

Thanks for the tuck ins last night. Its been a long time since I had one of those.

I want to wish everyone an early mother's day. I will be spending it with my kids and husband at a volleyball tournament:sad2: Whose idea was it to have it then. Anyway I will be missing my mother and mil as they have both passed on.:sad1: I miss my mother all of the time so enjoy the time you have with them because you never know how long you will have with them.

Gotta go. Dh is up for our coffee time:coffee: Will check in later.

To reply to quotes, in the bottom of every post you will see a "quote" button, click on that and it will do the quote for you. Then there is the one next to it, that is the multi-quote button (wonderful feature), click on that for every post that has something you want to quote, then when you get to the last one, it will quote all of them. You just go erase the parts you don't want.

You will see they all start with [ Quote= ] and end with [ /quote ]

Hmmm....interesting. I know when I talked to the other mom last year when I asked about a ceremony, I thought she said they didn't have one. I must have been confused (or not remembering correctly -- wouldn't be the first time! :rotfl2: ).

Yes, I *hate* that 1 hour of school the last day, it's really bad since DD spends about 20-30 minutes on a bus to get to school, attend for 1 hour then turn around and spend 20-30 minutes on a bus back home. They have already cleaned out their desks and things so it isn't like they can even use the hour to do that. I feel very sorry for the teachers that day...that hour must be torture -- NONE of the kids want to be there that day.

I'll have to ask DD which she would prefer to do (I guess it also depends on when they do it -- if it's a 1 or 2 days before the last day, it could still work out). I find this 8th grade graduation stuff foreign to me because we never did any of it, basically you were just moving up to 9th grade. Other than the dance, which I didn't even *know* was the graduation until they handed out pieces of paper at it, which I promptly forgot behind and was called to the office the next school day to pick it up along with all the other 8th graders that didn't attend the dance. All I remember about the dance was it was the most akward thing ever. ;)

I already asked her about her state gymnastics meet -- she looked at me like I had 2 heads and said informed me that "Duh, I'd rather go to Disney - the state meet is just another meet to me". It really is, it's not really like you EARN to go to this meet, basically as long as you have competed in 4 meets, you qualify. I'm hoping she moves to Level 6 next year & that's optionals. That might be a different ballgame though.

I have a hunch, she might be willing to skip her 8th grade graduation ceremony to go to Disney World. Did I hear correctly that the kids went to Six Flags yesterday? Gorgeous day for it as opposed to the previous year where you practically had to have winter clothes out. DD already informed me that it means it will rain next year because she's Eeyore. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We should be getting the middle school stuff soon, I wonder if the promotion thing is already marked on that calendar? I know the grade school's calendar already has events marked on it such as Grandparents day (which my parents always attend so I can have them put it on their calendar already), etc... Lots of "Save the dates" in there since they are now doing conferences before Thanksgiving.

Decisions, decisions -- we could leave right after that hour or skip it all together. I can't decide since DS will also be 5th grade, he might actually want to go for that last hour to say Good-bye to everyone or not. :lmao: As long as we can get to Disney by May 31, we are good. We would be driving though, so Hmmm...

I'm up early too but how much you guys want to bet the kids will sleep in tomorrow since we have church & Monday when it's time to go back to school? We were up until 11 pm last night playing Life, so I thought the kiddos would sleep in! NOPE...my 6 year old comes traipsing in my room a little before 6 AM!!! What IS this? It's Saturday people!!!!! Sleep in will ya! Not far behind him was the 10 year old, then the 3 year old. DD did get up too but she went back to her room. On school days they don't have to be up until 7 AM.

I bought my flats of flowers yesterday :flower: and now I have to get the energy to put them in the ground. I gotta tell ya - I'm not in the mood this year:sad2: But, once I start planting them, it won't be so bad:rolleyes: I bought half the amount I normally do, because I'm not going to be home much to enjoy them - I'm opening in about 3 weeks:scared1:

Kevin and his friend Tim are gone for the weekend down at Indianapolis - today is "Poll Day" :car: So Stephanie is looking forward to being able to stay up late, watch a movie, and then sleep in bed with me (it's something we've been doing for years when Kevin's gone). The movie we are watching is Charlotte's Web - I'm looking forward to seeing it :)

Crissup - Tell CarolAnn that I said "Happy Mother's Day!!!" :flower2:

geffric - How's your PT going? Is it helping?

piglet too - Sending lots of PD your sons way for a very successful lemonade stand today:wizard:

Bunchkin - I'm not preparing to much for Mother's Day. My mom is bringing the food (it's always KFC so no one has to cook) and I am preparing the house. But, there's going to be alot of preparing, because my living room and dining room look like someone dropped an A-Bomb on it with store stuff. I can hardly wait until Monday when my carpet goes in, so I can start taking this stuff to the shop.
**That's great about switching to the cabin - I know how much you enjoyed it there :goodvibes
**Congratulations to little Hunter for his graduation yesterday - give him a hug from me

Sam - :wave2:

Debbie - I"m glad you had a good time at the zoo!!! :)
**I will have to check out your thread.

Becky - That's great about getting your ring :woohoo: How nice that your DH gave it to you early :goodvibes

Tiggeernnnn - Good luck to Kellie tonight!!! :wizard:

HERSEY - :wave2:

Chis - I'm sorry your girls aren't going to be home tomorrow :guilty: I hope your mom and MIL don't ruin your day for you tomorrow

Kim - :wave2:

poohlovermom - If you want to do one quote, just hit the quote button in the person's post you want to quote (like if you wanted to quote me, you would hit the "quote" button in my post). If you want to multiple quotes, then you hit the " button in all the people's posts you want to quote, and then hit your normal "post" button. Am I making an sense? I feel like I'm making them more confusing.
**I think Becky explained it better than me ::yes::
**I'm sorry about your Mom and MIL :guilty: I understand your saddness because my Grandma passed March 2006, and I miss her so much too :sad1:

Well, I gotta run and get ready to go the cemetary with my mom. We are taking flowers and balloons for Mother's Day to my Grandma's grave - I really miss her:sad1:

Have a good day today!!!

Debbie -- Did you hear about the High School Musical on Broadway version that will be coming to Chicago soon? I believe it's at LaSalle? My DH showed me an article in the Trib about it, tickets go on sale May 18 and I guess August 1 is going to be considered the "grand opening night"

http://disney.go.com/theatre/index.html#highschoolmusical

I think I'm going to pass on this one considering I already have the on ice tickets and I think I've spend enough $$ on HSM for the time being (plus I am now in the save the $ for actual WDW mode now!).

Just wanted to pass the information on for anyone who is interested.

Crissup - Tell CarolAnn that I said "Happy Mother's Day!!!" :flower2:

Oh, I'm sure she'll appreciate that very much!! :)

And, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers on this thread (I don't have enough ink left in my monitor to list all of ya's... ;) ).

Good morning! I was up early today already cleaned the bathrooms, windows, a load of wash, vaccumed. All so I don't have to do it tomorrow, Plus I'm working today.

Slo Opening day is coming so fast. You must be getting very excited. I'm living vicariouly through you. :cool1:

Bunchkin Tell Hunter :thumbsup2 I loved Alex's preschool graduation. I had him singing that song over and over.

To everyone else:wave2:
