Becky2005 are you going to hit the Mill Creek sales this week?

No, I didn't know about them. Saturday is a gymnastics meet for DD, it's a home meet so I'll be at the High School. It will be in the smaller gym & then I'm assuming upstairs in the gymnastics gym for 2 events. She doesn't have to show up until noon! Woo Hoo!!! Level 4's go earlier but I'm supposed to do admissions and no one has called me to tell me what time I'm supposed to be there. I don't know if I'm doing admissions for all levels, just our levels or ???????

I know that will pretty much take up all of Saturday because we have to get her ready for the meet and then the meet will be several hours (I think it actually begins at 1:00?). Feel free to stop by.

Becky2005 Glad to hear about dd braces coming off, at least for a while. Cann't make the gymnastic meet Emily has volleyball both Saturday and Sunday and it's her last tournament. I'm planning on going to the garage sales on friday morning. Let me know if you want to come along.:goodvibes

Hi Chicagoland…

I have been MIA. Went out of town and then lost Internet service after that. :surfweb: Figured it all out with SBC and have been trying to skim through all the posts. Hope everyone is doing well. WOW! It is getting harder to keep up with what's going on in everyone's lives! I guess that's because this is such a warm friendly place to chat!

Paintnolish…We have the Hawaiian pie tradition too:goodvibes !
Also, after one year of marriage my DH and I moved back home. I have the two kids now and I of course love it (it's my parents). Also, it's an in-law house so we have privacy and our own space! If anyone wants to start a thread or talk to me about living with their parents after marriage. Go for it! PM me too if you want. It is a VERY different dynamic that I think is making a come back.

Becky...so happy your DD is getting braces off! That is an exciting time!

Made all our ADR's today!!!!!! Note my November ticker. We hit the 180 mark and wanted to make sure DD would get to eat in the castle on her 5th birthday!!! We also booked GF for half the trip and are trying to decide where to stay for the second part since we can't afford to stay at GF the whole time. We will be going for 8 nights!

Take care everyone!

Deb,
AKL is awesome place for kids if you can afford it. If you are looking for a mod. POR is nice and CSR looks pretty neat, but I've heard it is very spread out and can be a long walk if you don't get a preferred room.
Just a quick check in before getting ready for my ballgame.
Later

Tiggerrn- CSR is our fave! We have always gotten our requested area and the grounds are gorgeous. They also have golf cart shuttles to take you around the property. It is spread out, but it is a nice, open feeling.

Thanks Ladies. We are staying at AKL for two nights very soon. I have never been and am very curious. I am nervous about the STANDARD view room too because I undersatnd I won't have a Savanah view but REALLY pray I am not looking out at a parking lot! Also, I have heard rumblings of construction going on there or something???? We will only be in WDW for two nights so I REALLY hope nothing ruins our experience. It will be bad enough turning 40!

I will have to keep thinking about the whole November deal. CSR gets a lot of votes.

Thanks again.

:surfweb:

Tigggerrnnnn - I wish I could come Saturday night, but I've got so much to do with everyone coming here on Sunday for Mother's Day :headache:

Becky - Congrats to your DD being able to get her braces off on June 4th:cheer2:

poohlovermom - Have a nice time at the garage sales this morning :)

Debbie - That's nice you can go stay at GF, I know how much you love it there!!:goodvibes

paint - We never stayed at CSR. Bunchkin was able to get a golf cart too when she stayed at the campground last January :car: (not a golf cart, but it will have to do ;) )

Kim - :wave2:

Have a good day today everyone!!

TGIF everyone!!!

The article in the paper was great, Nathan and the boys are super excited about it.

Last minute planning for tomorrow plus my older son has track sectionals. If he places at least 2nd he will go to state next weekend.

Good Friday Morning Everyone!!! :yay:

Today is Hunter's last day of preschool and his class picnic.
And later tonight is their graduation ceremony!!
My baby's growing up!!!!! :goodvibes  :sad1:
He is so exicted that he's heading toward kindergarten in a few months!! I mean *REALLY* excited!!!!

slo Shouldn't someone else in your house be preparing things for Mother's Day??? ;)
Speaking of golf carts......we switched our resort over to FW Cabins again and have reserved a golf cart again!!! It's the best way to really get around!
And the kids can't wait, they are soooooo excited!!!! :cool1:

Debbie Congrats to you on getting your vacation plans in order!!! 2 trips!!! YAY!!! :yay:

Tiggerrn I hope Kellie has a wonderful time at the ballet! I'm sure she'll do great!! :)

Becky Congrats to your DD for getting her braces off soon!!! :teeth:

Well, I gotta run!
Lots to do today!!!!

Have a great Friday all!!! :hippie:

Yes Hunter is very excited. I saw him this morning and he was literally reciting verbatim the Ghost Host spiel from the Haunted Mansion. It was still very early and he was bright eyed and bushy tailed! You can tell he's looking forward to his big day! I, unfortunately, was my usual braindead self! :rotfl:

Well Happy Friday everyone! And Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there! I hope you each have a wonderful, relaxing day!!

Now where did I leave my coffee!! :surfweb:

:sunny:

Yeah! I'm the first one to say GOOD FRIDAY MORNING. :) Hope everyone has a great day.:)

What are you doing up that early!

Hi Everyone,

Spent a great morning at the zoo. It was pretty chilly but still a good time.

Thanks Bunchkin...The June trip is only two nights in WDW but I can't wait. We wanted to save up for the November trip. That trip will be WDW for the whole time.

Slo...thanks.... we do love GF but it's actually even more $$$$ now with the choice of MK view! It is up there!

Paintnolish...in regards to the other thread I pull my kids too and I have a teaching degree! Taught kindergarten for 12 years after subbing and Pre K for 3yrs!

I started this thread last night and I think it's pretty entertaining. Some of you already found it but if not take a look........

Oh this is so not good -- well you guys will think it is but not my DH!!! :lmao:

I just got the schedule for next school year and just realized we get out of school May 30! Hmmm.....1st week of June in WDW? Less crowds than July and should be *relatively* cooler. PLUS my 40th birthday is next year on May 31!!!!

Hmmm....do you see a plan formulating in my head? Originally we were talking about 2009 but I didn't realize we get out so early next year (as long as no school days). Plus, if I'm not mistaken 8th graders get out a day or 2 earlier (not 100% sure) so we could leave right after school on the 30th or even pull the boys out earlier (the last day is only 1 hour long! I know in Middle School all they do is sign yearbooks which is pretty much all they do in grade school too!).

NOW to convince DH of this and oh, save a few thousand pennies. :lmao:

Yes it is pretty entertaining alright! Getting better all the time! Don't flame me!! :rotfl:

I'll express my opinions all I want, but I really don't expect anyone to disagree with me or flame me!! :lmao:

LIGHT IT UP!!

Cool! Great idea! I will be in WDW for my 40th! Do you know the graduation day though? Could that throw a wrench in it? You did say someone was in 8th grade right or were you just saying that that was the last?day.:confused3 ?

You rebel!!!
You're a risk taker!
You must like living on the edge!
OK I am just rambling now. Trying to amuse myself.

Sorry to confuse you, next year my DD will be in 8th grade. As far as I know they don't have a graduation ceremony of any sort, they just get out a few days earlier than the rest of the Middle School.

I do know they go to Great America, have a pool party & I believe a dance. I believe all that happens before their official last day of school.

Having kids sign your yearbook is really no big deal (oh...although I will also have a 5th grader that will be moving up but they should already have their picnic & skate party before then too -- they just don't get out early! :lmao: ) to my boys but it's different for DD since she's older.

I did just look up Gay Days though and it's happening at the same time so that throws a wrentch in the plans. So much for the thought of less crowded. I would rather avoid going during that time so phooey, looks like I'm back to the drawing board. :sad2:

This year we did have 2 snow days too though but the likelyhood of us actually *having* a snow day is slim -- it has to be really, really, really bad! I'm actually thinking 2 snow days is almost unheard of although they do have 5 written into the schedule.

Maybe you will get an upgrade. We were upgraded from Standard to Woods at WL last Oct. Be sure to let them know you are celebrating your 40th before you get there so they can note that on your ressie. Worth a shot!! We loved AKL. My total Favorite of all so far.

Good luck to your son at sectionals. What event does he do. I did hurdles and long jump along with the 800M Medley relay. My knees remember every minute of it.:rotfl:

Thanks for the well wishes for Kellie. She did a great job today and had a lot of fun. :dance3: The 2nd and 3rd grade classes all came to watch. They all enjoyed it. There was a lot of kid comedy.

You are living dangerously. This really made me laugh.:lmao:

Hi everyone. Who turned on the outdoor air conditioning?! I left this morning early in short sleeves and capris. When we left the theater to come home, I needed a scarf and mittens. It is really breezy and chilly now.
Looks like many of us like to celebrate the 40th with the mouse!!! I did that last year!!!:rolleyes1 Yep, gone over the hill. Still having a good time though, so fear not you youngsters!!!:scared: :)
Well, better run. DS decided he wanted to go to afterschool care even though it wasn't necessary today because he wanted to trade his PokeMon cards with his buddies. So now I have to make another trip to school to pick him up.
Only 2 weeks to pirate: pirate: pirate: !!!! Meet anyone?!!
